CHAPTER- 1

AURORA

I pass through the school corridor with my best friend, Sianna. Our class has ended and now we are heading back home. My steps halted when I watched my sister being surrounded by lots of boys. Some have come with a love letter. And some with gifts.

She's known as a school belle. The perfect definition of beauty with a brain. Her moon shadow black soft wavy hair flowed freely down to her waist. She had an elegant personality. A set of dazzling, angel-white teeth gleamed as she smiled brightly at the boys.

"See Rory, how lucky she is. She's getting so many gifts from the boys." Sianna squealed looking at Amy.

"I wish I was like her." She said with a dreamy look.

"Keep dreaming." I chuckled. And she sends me a glare.

"You wait here. I'll go and bring her along with me. If it goes like this then we will reach home at night." Saying that I start walking to my sister's way.

"Amy, let's go. We're getting late. Mum told us to get home quickly today." I drag her holding her arms when she's busy talking with her boyfriend.

"Just one minute." She pleaded, showing her forefinger and I rolled my eyes. Her one minute never ends.

"No, not a second. You're coming with me, that's it." Saying that I pulled her with me making our way out of the school gate.

"Rory, you're so nagging." She said annoyingly.

"Is it new, sister?" I said, showing my bright white teeth to her. And she glared at me.

"Wait for me," Sianna yelled from behind running with her backpack.

"Why are you so slow, Sia? Come over quickly." Amy yelled back.

We waiting for her and she joined us.

"Take these gifts with you." Amy handed some gifts of hers to Sia. And Sia's face lit up in happiness.

"Thank you a lot, Amy." Sia squealed with delight.

"I have a lot. And Rory doesn't like these types of things. So I thought to share some with you." Amy smiled brightly.

"You're so kind and thoughtful Amy." Sia praised Amy. What Makes Amy happier. She likes to be praised.

Sia and I separated when her route go opposite of us.

We were walking on our way and suddenly the sky began to change its colors.

"Why so suddenly it's becoming dark." Looking up into the sky Amy spoke. I also look up. She's right. It was fine a while ago.

"Aaahhh!" I heard Amy's scream and looked at her.

Her eyes were wide and her face turned pale. She was staring at something ahead with a horrified expression. I followed her gaze and also got terrified by what I saw.

Some disgusting creatures were standing right there looking at our side. I gulped a lump in fear.

I looked around and saw no one is noticeable in our lane. It was entirely isolated.

I looked at my sister who also looked at me.

"What is this?" She spoke in a low tone.

Suddenly I feel someone present near us. The moment I snapped my neck a yelp came out of my mouth. A man was standing right in front of us. And with a blink of an eye, our surroundings changed.

I looked around and found myself in a jungle. How the hell did we end up here?

"Who the hell are you?" I asked the person who was standing ahead of us. He smiled viciously looking right into my eyes. I gulped a big lump down.

"Your death." His eyes turned red within a second.

Amy clutched my hand in fear. I'm also afraid but can't show it in front of him.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You deserve to die. Or else you'll be a threat to us in the future." What he says makes no sense. What did he mean by that?

"Listen, I don't know who the hell are you and what you are saying. Just let us go." I said in an angry tone. But inside I'm petrified.

"I'll let you free." He paused.

"From this world." He said and laughed humorously.

I don't know why he wants to kill me. But what about Amy? Will he also kill Amy?

"If you want to kill me then let her go," I said bravely.

"No no no-no-no. That's not possible. She'll also die with you. No, before you."

"You'll witness her death with your own eyes."

"NO!" I saw the demons lunge at her to attack. I can't let my sister die.

"Please don't." My lips trembled as I begged him but he gave a deaf ear to my words.

I ran to her but they threw me away and I fell to the ground hard. They are beasts.

I clenched my fist tightly and my nails were digging into my palm flesh. Rage was building inside me. And I felt my whole body on fire.

A scream left my mouth and I felt something on my back. I don't know what was happening to me but suddenly I felt powerful.

I went to them again and this time I pulled them apart from her and threw them away. Some came to fight with me but I knocked them down. Amy was looking at me shockingly. I know she's surprised and so am I.

I don't know where this power came from. But I'm glad that now I can save my sister and myself too.

Out of the blue, that man came and grabbed me by my neck, choking me to death. I struggled to free myself from his grip but with each attempt, his grip got tighter around my neck.

I was feeling short of breath so I pushed him hard by his chest and with my push, something came out of my palm.

I looked at my palm and was shocked. The fire was coming out of it. I looked at that Demon master who was staring at me furiously.

I saw pitch-black feathery wings coming out from his back. And he flew up in the air. I don't know how I found myself in the air.

I looked at my sides and witnessed crimson red wings described as metallic with each feather sharp like a precision blade. Each feather/blade has the top part crimson with the hairs or fibers sticking out of the sides, while the end or blade itself is black.

I don't know how I became like them? Did they turn me into like them?

He attacks me with his power and I also attack him with my power. I don't know what's happening here. But I need to save us from him.

Our powers hit each other and explore but my firepower hit him hard knocking him out. He fell to the ground. And I landed down on the ground.

"I'll deal with you later." Saying that he vanished into the thin air.

The first thing I do is run towards Amy. Who was lying unconsciously? Her condition is not well. They hurt her badly.

Tears slipped down my eyes looking at her bruised body. I sat down near her and put her head on my lap. I held her cheek and wept and sobbed, clutching my eyes tightly.

"Rory." I heard a sound that brought me back from agony.

Opening my eyes I saw Amy staring at me astonishingly. The shock was an understatement. When I found her fine in front of me. She sat up on the ground staring at me with her knitting brows.

"What happened, Rory? Why're you crying?" She asked in a worried tone holding my face from one side.

"Are you alright?" I asked her unsure, feeling perplexed.

"Yeah. What would happen to me?" She asked me confusingly.

What made me wonder.

"Don't you remember those Demons?" I asked her with amazement.

"Demons." She repeated and started to recall looking up.

"Ohh, yeah! I remembered."

"Oh Jesus! How can I forget about them? But where are they!" Saying that she began to look for them staring here and there.

"Thanks to Heaven that they are gone." Standing up on my feet I wipe my hands across my jeans.

"Now get up." I held out my hand to her and she stood up on her feet holding my hand.

"Which place is this? What's the location? How far are we from our house?" I sighed heavily holding my hips. How am I supposed to know? Huhh!

"For God's sake, Will you please stop Amy? You're making me feel dizzy with your questions." I said annoyingly.

"Think about how we will go home from here. It's getting dark. We need to get out of this damn jungle. Otherwise, today we will become food for the wild animals."

She looked at me with wide eyes asking me with her eyes. 'Really!' And I nod my head affirmatively.

"Let's find a way out of the forest." I nodded and we began walking hand in hand.

"Rory, I'm feeling thirsty." Amy stopped on her track and exclaimed, holding her hips.

"We don't have water. I don't think we will get water anywhere near here." I said helplessly.

While walking for a few minutes I heard the sound of water. I looked at Amy who also looked at me at the same time. A smile breaks through our lips in happiness.

"Water." We both exclaimed in happiness at the same time.

We ran to the source from where the sound of water was coming from.

But we abruptly stopped on our track a distance away from the river. Because something was standing over there that caught us off guard.

It was big. A big silver color wolf. Its back was facing us. That's why it didn't notice our presence.

My heart started throbbing hard against the chest. We both stepped back but suddenly something happened in front of our eyes that made us stop from backing up.

That wolf turned into a human and that too naked. I palmed my eyes immediately. And I heard Amy chuckle.

"Don't cover your eyes, Rory. It's a sin not to grab the chance to ogle at the Greek God." I sent a glare at her when she was still staring at that wolf.

"Didn't you hear about werewolves? He's a werewolf." Yes, I did. I heard about werewolves. But I haven't seen them ever in my life. And it's crazy.

"Now you can remove your hands. He's clothed." I peeped through my fingers and found him clothed.

"Shh….. Let's hide, he'll see us." I whispered.

"What if he does any harm to us," I said but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. She didn't divert her eyes from him for a second.

"See, how handsome he is." Her overexcited voice made me turn Without my knowledge in his direction and my eyes met with his. It was a yellowish-green color. I would be lying if I didn't admit that he's freaking handsome. From head to toe, he's just perfect. He's half-naked. His well-built body was a perfect definition of the Greek God.

My whole world seems to have stopped around me. My heart started hammering against my chest. Suddenly I saw his eyes turn orange.

"Run, Rory." Amy pulled me and we started running using our whole strength.

Today so many things are happening to me. At first those Demons and now that werewolf.

My legs began to hurt and I'm shorting out of breath.

'I want to go home.' I screamed in my mind, closing my eyes.

"What the hell!" I opened my eyes hearing Amy's voice and found myself in front of our house.

WHAT THE HELL!!!

Did we just teleport!!

"What's happening with us today? It's crazy." Amy exclaimed in a frustrated tone.

"Let's get inside first. I also need some answers from Mom." We both entered our house.

"Where have you been the whole day? The moment we both stepped inside our house Mom rushed toward us.

"Long story Mom," Amy answered. When I was just staring at her keenly.

She looked at me for an answer but instead of answering, I threw a question at her about what was bothering me the whole time.

"Who am I, Mom?"
