Chapter Thirty Eight

Alpha Will is a friend of mine and a guest to you; surely you don't feel that it is proper for you to send him out to go and eat with the others because of his position.

"Child, it is not because of him alone; this is how things are done here."

"Then does that mean I have to go outside as well since I am an omega?"

"No child, you are my granddaughter; I prepared this for you, and you might be that, but you are more dominant than the omegas."

"Do you only care about positions?"

"I will not be eating with you; if he is sent out, I will follow him outside too."

He frowned at me, then faked a smile before agreeing to let Will sit with us to eat.

That was resolved, and we sat down to eat. He wasn't saying anything, probably because of Will.

I picked up my food and went outside for some fresh air. My wolf was restless; I hadn't spoken to him all day; it felt strange.
