“A mate!!!?? Who?” The chief elder asked with a shock and confused expression on his face.

The moment the words left my lips, I felt a mix of relief and dread.

Relief because I had done what I could to protect Thane’s position as Alpha and dread because I knew this would only complicate things further.

“Did I make the right choice??” I questioned myself.

“A mate???Are you certain, Alpha Mother? Or are you simply trying to cover for your son?” he asked.
