TYLA’S POV

I squinted my eyes open as a bright reflection flashed in.

“She is finally awake.” A voice said.

“Am I dead??” I asked as I looked around in confusion, not being able to recognize where I was.

“No dear, you aren’t dead.”

“Then where am I and who are you??” I asked.

“You are currently at the Pack Clinic and you have been unconscious for a few days now.”

“Pack Clinic??? Since when did the pack Clinic change??” I asked as I looked around in confusion.

I knew our Pack Clinic so well that if I was asked to describe it from a deep slumber, I could but this one was looking completely different.

“Oh dear, you aren’t in your previous pack anymore.” The lady said.

“What??? How?? I don’t understand what you mean ma’am….Which pack am I in then???”

“You are in the Tiger Wood blood pack.” she said.

I suddenly burst into laughter as I assumed she must be trying to play pranks on me.

How could I be at the pack of the one who rejected me as his mate and how could I also have gotten here.

“Why are you laughing dear??? Did I say something funny?? She asked in confusion.

“Yes you did ma’am…please tell me where I am so I can go back home to my pack.” I said.

“I am serious dear, you really are in the Tiger wood blood pack.”

“What??!!! How?? I don’t understand.”

“The Alpha brought you in here unconscious and I assumed he brought you from your pack and you have been here for almost a week now.”

“No…no….no…noooooo….I want to go back…I want to go back to my pack please….please just let me go back before he realizes I am awake.”

“Who dear??”

“Alpha Thane.” I said as tears welled up in my eyes.

“I am sorry dear, but we can’t let you leave and also the Alpha has been informed of your consciousness.”

“Noooo….I have to leave….I have to leave now.” I said as I started removing the syringes on my body and as I stood up from the bed, my head suddenly started spinning.

“Please lay down back on the bed as you aren’t fully recovered dear….the absence of your wolf is slowing down your recovery.”

“I don't care!!! I just want to leave here and don’t stop me.” I said as I held my head and staggered away.

“Please come back!!! The Alpha will be mad at me!!!” she yelled but I ignored and walked away from the clinic.

The pack was so big that I got confused on which direction to go and as I looked on, I saw a pathway ahead and so I continued my journey.

My head spinned more and I was dehydrated and needed water but leaving the pack was more important than anything I felt or needed at that moment.

“Keep going Tyla, just keep going…you can do this.” I said to myself.

After walking for a while, I finally came across a wood and something inside of me told me that the woods would lead me out of the pack and so I entered.

Due to how I aggressively yanked out the syringes from my hand, it kept on bleeding non stop but I wasn’t focused on that.

Suddenly, I heard some rustling noises as I stood and looked around in fear.

“Who is there??” I asked.

Everywhere became silent again as the rustling noises stopped and so I continued walking deeper into the woods.

The same rustling noise started again and it was more intense this time around.

Fear gripped me as I stopped in my tracks and looked around again.

In a flash second, I found myself on the ground as a strong force hit me.

As soon as I regained myself, I looked on and saw a werewolf boring its eyes into mine and as I looked on properly, it didn’t look like just any werewolf.

This particular one had intense yellowish piercing eyes, very sharp pointed teeth, had some scars on its body and a very strong feral odor and the only thing that could come to mind was that it was a rogue.

It stalked towards me like a predator as I crawled backwards in fear while looking around to see if I could find anything to hold on to as defense.

I finally found something that looked like an Iron rod and I picked it up and foolishly threw it at the rogue but it dodged it and snarled at me.

Not only did I miss the opportunity of saving myself, I also made the rogue very angry and in a split second, it bit my leg making me scream in pain and agony.

It retracted its teeth as it moved back and continued snarling at me.

I didn’t know much about rogues but from the little I knew, I was well aware that their bites can be poisonous as it causes paralysis, fever and eventually death.

“Mom, Dad, this is it…I am finally coming to join you over there with the moon goddess.” I said as I could feel one part of me getting paralyzed.

In a few seconds, I laid still on the ground motionless as I couldn’t move any part of my body and the rogue found it as the perfect opportunity to complete it’s attack.

Even if I wanted to call for help at that moment, it was totally impossible as I was completely paralyzed.

As the rogue drew Closer to me, I closed my eyes and was ready to welcome whatever came and suddenly I heard a loud growl from behind me.

Due to the fact that I couldn’t move any part of my body, it was impossible to see what was behind me.

A few seconds later, a wolf larger than the rogue walked in front of me and in a second, it severed the head of the rogue and ripped it’s heart out.

The whole event was so shocking and scary to me that I instantly passed out cold but before I did, I heard a voice saying I was his.

TYLA'S POVI didn't need a seer to tell me that staying at this strange pack depended solely on smartness and survival skills and I planned on staying for the time being and so I found myself at the place where I was initially assigned a duty, the kitchen.I wiped my hands on the apron and stepped back from the sink. It felt strange being back in a pack’s kitchen, surrounded by the smells of onions, herbs, and burnt toast. The laughter and clatter of pans from the other cooks filled the room, but none of it truly reached me…It was only noise, to cover the chaos in my head. The words of the seer still echoed in my mind. The bond... not broken... the full moon...and the safety of my unborn pup.I couldn’t think about it now and I couldn’t allow myself to drown in it again and so I focused on the task in front of me. I stirred the stew on the stove and glanced over my shoulder at the group of women gossiping near the pantry."...they say he hasn’t smiled since she died." one of them w

  • ALPHA THANE'S TWISTED REJECTION    CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY TWO

THANE'S POV I honestly didn't have the time to think through my decision before implementing it.I just wanted to do everything within my power to get my mate back and although I know it would be difficult because at that point, I had no idea if Tyla would want to even accept me back but it was worth trying. The next person I knew I needed to speak to was my mother.I stood outside my mother’s chamber, the heavy oak door closed between us like a barrier forged from my own guilt. It had been days since she woke from that induced sleep or should I call it coma…days since I made that decision…the one that cost me Tyla.I clenched my fists as I took a sharp deep breath. I had to face her.I knocked lightly."Enter." She said with her voice calm but stern.I stepped inside. The room still smelled like the herbs the healer used to treat her, but it was brighter now. She sat by the window, sunlight casting lines across her aging yet regal face. Her eyes lifted to meet mine."Mother." I

  • ALPHA THANE'S TWISTED REJECTION    CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY ONE

TYLA'S POV After leaving the prison cell, I couldn’t stop thinking about the seer’s words. His voice echoed in my mind like a haunting lullaby I couldn’t silence."Your child is not dead, Tyla…Merely asleep."How could that be? I had heard it from the healer herself. I had felt the cold void in my womb but something inside me, something small and desperate clung to the possibility that he was right and that my baby still breathed within me, waiting for something… someone.I paced back and forth in my room, trying to make sense of it all. My thoughts tangled like vines in the forest. Thane’s rejection, the pain of the loss, the fear of the unknown and now, this spark of hope from a man locked away and forgotten.A soft knock at the door interrupted the storm in my head."Tyla?" Maren’s voice came through the wooden door. "Can I come in?"I hesitated before answering. "Yes."She stepped in, her wild curls tied back today, and her green eyes soft with concern."You’ve been quiet s

BRIDGET'S POV As Emmy held my arm and pulled me out of Thane's study, I got more angry."You should have stayed out of it, Emmy!" I hissed as he continued pulling me out of Thane’s study, his grip firm but not painful. Still, it made my skin crawl."You were going to get yourself killed in there!" Emmy growled, slamming the door behind us."So what?! At least I wouldn’t be dragged around like some helpless fool! You always think you can swoop in and fix everything like some noble savior….Newsflash, Emmy, I don't need saving!"He turned to face me, eyes blazing. Emmy was beginning to piss me off and I had to do something about it."You don't need saving? Bridget, you're on the edge of a cliff and you're too damn blind to see it! Thane’s this close to snapping and you're poking him like he’s a sleeping bear…What the hell were you thinking?!""I was thinking that someone needed to remind him who he is! That this pack isn't about him and his sob stories!""You have done enough," he sa

  • ALPHA THANE'S TWISTED REJECTION    CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY NINE

THANE'S POV Ever since my mother awoke from the antidote's effects, she hadn't spoken much to me. Her silence carried weight…a sharp, cold disapproval that pierced deeper than any words could. Every time she looked at me, I could see it in her eye disappointment, Disgust and perhaps most painful of all, heartbreak.I sat in my study, my hands clenched into fists on the table. The room was quiet except for the faint rustling of paper and the murmurs outside. The news had spread throughout the pack…They all knew. They knew I had rejected Tyla. They knew she had been pregnant. They knew she'd vanished, possibly hurt or worse.I could feel their eyes on me when I walked through the pack lands. Eyes that once looked to me with pride and loyalty now brimmed with judgment and suspicion. Whispers followed me like shadows."The Alpha rejected his pregnant mate.""Can you imagine the disgrace?""How could he do that to her?"I didn’t blame them as it was all my fault and I deserved whate

  • ALPHA THANE'S TWISTED REJECTION    CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY EIGHT

TYLA'S POV "There’s something... someone... you need to see.”I tried to find out more information of who it was that wanted to see me but all I got was silence. The silence in the corridor was thick as the guard led me through dimly lit stone hallways. My fingers were numb, and though my feet moved, my thoughts remain frozen on the words the Beta had spoken: "There’s someone you need to see."The guard didn’t say a word as we walked away. I tried asking him questions again but he remained tight-lipped, only gesturing with his chin for me to follow.Eventually, we reached a thick iron door guarded by two men. One of them gave me a curious look before unlocking the door. The hinges groaned as it opened, revealing a small cell lit by a single torch mounted on the wall.Inside sat a man…old, with a scruffy gray beard and deep lines etched into his dark skin. His eyes, however, were anything but old. They sparkled like twin moons, alive and knowing. He looked up the moment I steppe
