LOGINTHANE’S POV
I quickened my pace as my climax hit me. “Yessss Thane!!!” the brunette moaned out. I removed myself from her and laid back on the bed as I tried to catch my breath. “That was so good Alpha….can we go again??” she asked as her hands moved around my body. I caught her hands before it could reach my torso and glared at her. “Get out.” I said. The smile on her face dropped suddenly as she looked at me with confusion. I was not one to get attached with women especially when I know they are just good f**ks and nothing more than that. “Why, what did I do wrong??” she asked. The kinds of people I hated the most were the dumb ones who couldn't assimilate simple statements. “Are you deaf??” I asked in irritation. “I am not..but.” “I said leave!!!!!” I thundered. She hurriedly got up from the bed, got dressed and left the room in a flash. I haven't been in a good mood for a few days now after hearing that some measly rogues killed some of my warriors some days ago. It was my sole goal to haunt them down and kill every F**king one of them. I got up from my bed as I entered the bathroom and freshened up and as soon as I came out, I heard a knock on the door. “What??” “I am sorry to disturb you Alpha but there is important information I need to share with you.” my beta said. “Come in.” He twisted the doorknob open as he walked in on my stalk naked. He nervously turned his face over to look in another direction which made me chuckle softly. “Why are you hiding your face??? Is there something you saw that you don’t have or haven’t seen before??” I asked. “No Alpha..apologies.” he said as he stood in front of me looking so uneasy. “What is the matter?? As you can see I am busy.” I said. “It’s regarding the rogue attack on the warriors….an Alpha has agreed to join hands with us so we could find the rogues and kill them.” “And who says I can’t do that by myself??” I asked as I raised my eyebrow. “No one Alpha…he sent a message that he heard about the news and suggested joining hands with this pack to take care of the rogues once and for all.” My beta said. “In other words, he is calling my pack incompetent??” “Not at all Alpha.” My blood boiled as I looked at my beta in rage. “He can shove his suggestion up his sorry ass.” I said as I dressed up. Going to another pack to join hands with them in alliance was an insult to my name. If I wanted help I would have sent for it but I can handle rogues myself without forming any alliance. “But Alpha, forming an alliance with Alpha Crane is going to yield something profitable for our pack….if I am speaking too much or out of line just stop me immediately Alpha.” My beta said. “Go on with what you were saying.” “Alpha Crane's pack is rumored to have a lot or resourceful materials...they don't have enough money but they have weapons and ancient materials..…if this pack can form an alliance with them, we are going to yield enough profits and as the saying goes, keep your friends close and enemies closer.” That was the first time my beta was making so much sense in his speech. I wanted more for my pack and even if it means me taking by force to grow mine, I would do it without a heartbeat. “Send words to them…I arrive at noon tomorrow.” I said. “Thank you Alpha…I'll do that right away.” Just as I promised, I set out to Alpha Crane's pack at noon the following day and I was not in the best of moods. And what made me even more pissed was the fact that the journey took more than two hours. “We are here Alpha.” My beta said. “This is the last time I will do this.” I said. As soon as we arrived at the pack and I was being taken to the pack house, a scent hit me. “Mate is close.” My wolf said. I excused myself as I followed through to where the scent was coming from. The scent led me into some kind of woods and I noticed there was someone sitting there. As soon as I saw her, my wolf went crazy with excitement. “Mate.” I said. I could sense the fear in her eyes as I stared at her. My eyes moved from her head down to her toes and I could sense that she was weak. Asides from being weak, she looked so frail and her skin pale and I didn't seem to sense her wolf which meant that she was a non shifter. I noticed some bruises In her body, both old and new. There was no way I, Alpha Thane could accept such a weakling as a mate. “You are such a weakling.” I said to her. I noticed she had a very blank expression on her face when I said those words. “Please don't reject me.” She said softy. “I need a Luna who is daring and fearless and not a weakling like you….if I accept you as my mate, you wouldn't even last a day in my pack.” I said as I chuckled. “Just allow me to go with you…I would do anything for you and if you want me to be your servant, I would do it within a heartbeat but please don't reject me…I would not find any other mate.” She said. If I add some kind of sympathy within me, I would have been touched by her words but I didn't have any in me. “What is your name??” I asked. “T…T..Tyla.” “I, Alpha Thane of the Tiger wood blood pack, reject you Tyla as my mate and Luna.” Suddenly, I felt a quick sharp pain in my chest as my wolf whimpered. I raised my head up high waiting for her plea for me to accept her back as I smiled. “I, Tyla Niver, accept your rejection.”THANE'S POVI had seen wolves shift hundreds of times in my life.It was nothing new to me.As Alpha, I had watched warriors transform before battles, watched pups experience their first shifts, and even witnessed brutal shifts fueled by rage. But nothing…absolutely nothing prepared me for what I was seeing now.Tyla,my mate, the woman I once rejected just shifted. My breath caught in my throat.“Moon Goddess…” Rico whispered beside me.I was too shocked to even ask how Rico got to where I was.I couldn't speak and I couldn’t move. This shift was different.Standing before us was the largest wolf I had ever seen in my life.Silver fur shimmered under the moonlight like liquid metal. Her body was powerful, sleek, and intimidating in a way that made even seasoned warriors instinctively step back. But it was her eyes that froze the blood in my veins. They glowed like molten silver.Wild, fierce and Untamed.I stared at her in complete shock.“That… that can’t be possible,” I muttered.T
THANE'S POV I was already angry before Rico opened his mouth. But when he did, it only made it worse.“She was almost Kyron’s mate!” I roared, pacing the length of my room like a trapped animal. My hands were trembling, my wolf restless under my skin. “Do you even understand what that means, Rico? I spent years looking for her. Years! And she was about to bind herself to him?”Rico stood by the window, arms folded across his chest. He didn’t look afraid of me…he rarely did.“She didn’t bind herself to him,” he said calmly. “It was discussed…that’s different.”“Different?” I snapped. “It’s the same thing! She had no right!”Rico’s eyes hardened. “No right? Thane… you rejected her.” He said as I stopped pacing. The words hit like a slap.“I had my reasons,” I muttered.“You sent her into exile,” Rico continued, his voice firm now. “You pushed her away.”My jaw tightened.“That was..”“That was your choice,” he cut in sharply. “Not hers.”I felt my anger spike higher. “I had no
TYLA’S POVI woke up with a sharp gasp with my chest rising and falling like I had been drowning and only just found air.The room was dim, lit only by the soft glow of moonlight filtering through the curtains. My head throbbed painfully, and my heart felt heavy, like something was sitting on it, crushing every breath I took. For a moment, I didn’t know where I was. Then the scent hit me…Kyron.I turned my head slowly and saw him sitting beside the bed, his large frame tense, his eyes fixed on my face like he had been watching me the entire time. Relief flickered across his face the moment our eyes met.“You’re awake,” he said quietly. My throat felt dry. “How long…?” I tried to ask, but my voice came out hoarse.“Not long,” Kyron replied. “You suddenly collapsed and the healer said you’d wake soon.”I swallowed and tried to sit up, but dizziness washed over me instantly. Kyron moved fast, placing a firm hand on my shoulder to steady me.“Easy,” he said. “Don’t rush.”I closed
TYLA’S POVThe night shattered…that was the only way to describe it.And him, Thane…standing at the edge of the ceremonial grounds like a curse that had learned how to walk.“Tyla,” he called again, his voice ripping through me. “Come here.”My body suddenly reacted before my mind did as I stepped back but not towards him.The crowd murmured and confusion rippled outward, but Thane’s eyes stayed locked on me, burning with something that made my skin crawl.“I don’t know you.” I bit out.The words tasted strange on my tongue like something foreign, unreal but I forced them out anyway.“I don’t know who you are.”Silence fell so fast it felt violent.Thane blinked repeatedly as he gazed at me strangely.“What?” he asked, his voice lowering. “Tyla… what are you saying?”Kyron moved instantly, stepping in front of me with his broad back like a wall of heat and authority.“She said she doesn’t know you,” Kyron said coldly. “Now leave.”Thane’s gaze snapped to Kyron, with so much fury.“
TYLA'S POV The pack house transformed overnight.Where once the halls had felt cold and watchful, now they buzzed with forced excitement, frantic movement, and a tension so thick it pressed against my skin.Servants hurried past me with bolts of white fabric and silver-threaded cloaks. Warriors stood at attention longer than usual even though the air smelled, different burning sage, crushed moonflowers, and anxiety.Preparations for the Luna ceremony had begun. And I was at the center of it.I stood before the tall mirror in my room while two attendants hovered behind me, whispering in hushed tones as they brushed my hair. My reflection stared back at me, unfamiliar. My face looked calm, but my eyes betrayed me…they were wide, uncertain, shadowed by thoughts I couldn’t silence. Was I really doing this?Every stroke of the brush felt like another step toward something I couldn’t undo.My wolf paced restlessly inside me, claws scraping against my ribs. This feels wrong… and right… an
THANE'S POV The elders’ voices still echoed in my skull long after I left that meeting.“Choose another mate.”“You must give the pack stability.”“Tyla is gone..accept it.”Gone.The word sliced through me like a fresh wound every time.My wolf lay silent in the back of my mind broken, withdrawn, refusing to speak. He had nothing to offer…no opinion and no guidance because as far as he was concerned… our mate no longer existed. For him, for both of us, Tyla was dead or missing but at this point, dead had the upper hand. And you cannot replace the dead.Yet the pack needed a Luna and I, Alpha or not, was drowning.I found myself standing outside my mother’s door without even remembering the walk. I pushed it open gently. She was seated near the fire, spinning wool with calm, steady hands. The flames cast a soft glow on her tired face.“Mother,” I murmured. She looked up with eyes far too perceptive.“Thane.”I sat at her feet like I did when I was younger, when problems seemed eas
THANE’S POV“Shawn, can you see that???” I asked my wolf.“Yes but it's not so clear…it looks like a wolf but at the same time, it's smell says otherwise.” Shawn said.“If I go too near, I might scare it away.”The figure was too far away to make out any details, but I could feel its gaze on me, in
THANE'S POVThe full moon festival was in full swing and the air filled with laughter, music, and the scent of roasted meat. The pack was celebrating but I couldn’t shake the unease that was in my chest. Something felt off and it was Something I couldn’t quite place. And then, it hit me.A strang
THANE'S POVThe moment we reached the pack house, I carried Tyla straight to the clinic as my heart pounded with every step. Her body was still limp in my arm and her breathing shallow with her skin cold. Although I had no feelings whatsoever for her but seeing her like that, looking so pale and
THANE'S POVThe moment I left Tyla in the safe house, my mind was already racing. The pack was under attack, and I couldn’t afford to waste a single second. I trusted the safe house to keep her hidden, but deep down, fear lingered as I sensed that something felt off.I ran back to the pack house
