THANE’S POV

I quickened my pace as my climax hit me.

“Yessss Thane!!!” the brunette moaned out.

I removed myself from her and laid back on the bed as I tried to catch my breath.

“That was so good Alpha….can we go again??” she asked as her hands moved around my body.

I caught her hands before it could reach my torso and glared at her.

“Get out.” I said.

The smile on her face dropped suddenly as she looked at me with confusion.

I was not one to get attached with women especially when I know they are just good f**ks and nothing more than that.

“Why, what did I do wrong??” she asked.

The kinds of people I hated the most were the dumb ones who couldn't  assimilate simple statements.

“Are you deaf??” I asked in irritation.

“I am not..but.”

“I said leave!!!!!” I thundered.

She hurriedly got up from the bed, got dressed and left the room in a flash.

I haven't been in a good mood for a few days now after hearing that some measly rogues killed some of my warriors some days ago.

It was my sole goal to haunt them down and kill every F**king one of them.

I got up from my bed as I entered the bathroom and freshened up and as soon as I came out, I heard a knock on the door.

“What??”

“I am sorry to disturb you Alpha but there is important information I need to share with you.” my beta said.

“Come in.”

He twisted the doorknob open as he walked in on my stalk naked.

He nervously turned his face over to look in another direction which made me chuckle softly.

“Why are you hiding your face??? Is there something you saw that you don’t have or haven’t seen before??” I asked.

“No Alpha..apologies.” he said as he stood in front of me looking so uneasy.

“What is the matter?? As you can see I am busy.” I said.

“It’s regarding the rogue attack on the warriors….an Alpha has agreed to join hands with us so we could find the rogues and kill them.”

“And who says I can’t do that by myself??” I asked as I raised my eyebrow.

“No one Alpha…he sent a message that he heard about the news and suggested joining hands with this pack to take care of the rogues once and for all.” My beta said.

“In other words, he is calling my pack incompetent??”

“Not at all Alpha.”

My blood boiled as I looked at my beta in rage.

“He can shove his suggestion up his sorry ass.” I said as I dressed up.

Going to another pack to join hands with them in alliance was an insult to my name.

If I wanted help I would have sent for it but I can handle rogues myself without forming any alliance.

“But Alpha, forming an alliance with Alpha Crane is going to yield something profitable for our pack….if I am speaking too much or out of line just stop me immediately Alpha.” My beta said.

“Go on with what you were saying.”

“Alpha Crane's pack is rumored to have a lot or resourceful materials...they don't have enough money but they have weapons and ancient materials..…if this pack can form an alliance with them, we are going to yield enough profits and as the saying goes, keep your friends close and enemies closer.”

That was the first time my beta was making so much sense in his speech.

I wanted more for my pack and even if it means me taking by force to grow mine, I would do it without a heartbeat.

“Send words to them…I arrive at noon tomorrow.” I said.

“Thank you Alpha…I'll do that right away.”

Just as I promised, I set out to Alpha Crane's pack at noon the following day and I was not in the best of moods.

And what made me even more pissed was the fact that the journey took more than two hours.

“We are here Alpha.” My beta said.

“This is the last time I will do this.” I said.

As soon as we arrived at the pack and I was being taken to the pack house, a scent hit me.

“Mate is close.” My wolf said.

I excused myself as I followed through to where the scent was coming from.

The scent led me into some kind of woods and I noticed there was someone sitting there.

As soon as I saw her, my wolf went crazy with excitement.

“Mate.” I said.

I could sense the fear in her eyes as I stared at her.

My eyes moved from her head down to her toes and I could sense that she was weak.

Asides from being weak, she looked so frail and her skin pale and I didn't seem to sense her wolf which meant that she was a non shifter.

I noticed some bruises In her body, both old and new.

There was no way I, Alpha Thane could accept such a weakling as a mate.

“You are such a weakling.” I said to her.

I noticed she had a very blank expression on her face when I said those words.

“Please don't reject me.” She said softy.

“I need a Luna who is daring and fearless and not a weakling like you….if I accept you as my mate, you wouldn't even last a day in my pack.” I said as I chuckled.

“Just allow me to go with you…I would do anything for you and if you want me to be your servant, I would do it within a heartbeat but please don't reject me…I would not find any other mate.” She said.

If I add some kind of sympathy within me, I would have been touched by her words but I didn't have any in me.

“What is your name??” I asked.

“T…T..Tyla.”

“I,  Alpha Thane of the Tiger wood blood pack, reject you Tyla as my mate and Luna.”

Suddenly, I felt a quick sharp pain in my chest as my wolf whimpered.

I raised my head up high waiting for her plea for me to accept her back as I smiled.

“I, Tyla Niver, accept your rejection.”

TYLA'S POVI didn't need a seer to tell me that staying at this strange pack depended solely on smartness and survival skills and I planned on staying for the time being and so I found myself at the place where I was initially assigned a duty, the kitchen.I wiped my hands on the apron and stepped back from the sink. It felt strange being back in a pack’s kitchen, surrounded by the smells of onions, herbs, and burnt toast. The laughter and clatter of pans from the other cooks filled the room, but none of it truly reached me…It was only noise, to cover the chaos in my head. The words of the seer still echoed in my mind. The bond... not broken... the full moon...and the safety of my unborn pup.I couldn’t think about it now and I couldn’t allow myself to drown in it again and so I focused on the task in front of me. I stirred the stew on the stove and glanced over my shoulder at the group of women gossiping near the pantry."...they say he hasn’t smiled since she died." one of them w

  • ALPHA THANE'S TWISTED REJECTION    CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY TWO

THANE'S POV I honestly didn't have the time to think through my decision before implementing it.I just wanted to do everything within my power to get my mate back and although I know it would be difficult because at that point, I had no idea if Tyla would want to even accept me back but it was worth trying. The next person I knew I needed to speak to was my mother.I stood outside my mother’s chamber, the heavy oak door closed between us like a barrier forged from my own guilt. It had been days since she woke from that induced sleep or should I call it coma…days since I made that decision…the one that cost me Tyla.I clenched my fists as I took a sharp deep breath. I had to face her.I knocked lightly."Enter." She said with her voice calm but stern.I stepped inside. The room still smelled like the herbs the healer used to treat her, but it was brighter now. She sat by the window, sunlight casting lines across her aging yet regal face. Her eyes lifted to meet mine."Mother." I

TYLA'S POV After leaving the prison cell, I couldn’t stop thinking about the seer’s words. His voice echoed in my mind like a haunting lullaby I couldn’t silence."Your child is not dead, Tyla…Merely asleep."How could that be? I had heard it from the healer herself. I had felt the cold void in my womb but something inside me, something small and desperate clung to the possibility that he was right and that my baby still breathed within me, waiting for something… someone.I paced back and forth in my room, trying to make sense of it all. My thoughts tangled like vines in the forest. Thane’s rejection, the pain of the loss, the fear of the unknown and now, this spark of hope from a man locked away and forgotten.A soft knock at the door interrupted the storm in my head."Tyla?" Maren’s voice came through the wooden door. "Can I come in?"I hesitated before answering. "Yes."She stepped in, her wild curls tied back today, and her green eyes soft with concern."You’ve been quiet s

BRIDGET'S POV As Emmy held my arm and pulled me out of Thane's study, I got more angry."You should have stayed out of it, Emmy!" I hissed as he continued pulling me out of Thane’s study, his grip firm but not painful. Still, it made my skin crawl."You were going to get yourself killed in there!" Emmy growled, slamming the door behind us."So what?! At least I wouldn’t be dragged around like some helpless fool! You always think you can swoop in and fix everything like some noble savior….Newsflash, Emmy, I don't need saving!"He turned to face me, eyes blazing. Emmy was beginning to piss me off and I had to do something about it."You don't need saving? Bridget, you're on the edge of a cliff and you're too damn blind to see it! Thane’s this close to snapping and you're poking him like he’s a sleeping bear…What the hell were you thinking?!""I was thinking that someone needed to remind him who he is! That this pack isn't about him and his sob stories!""You have done enough," he sa

  • ALPHA THANE'S TWISTED REJECTION    CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY NINE

THANE'S POV Ever since my mother awoke from the antidote's effects, she hadn't spoken much to me. Her silence carried weight…a sharp, cold disapproval that pierced deeper than any words could. Every time she looked at me, I could see it in her eye disappointment, Disgust and perhaps most painful of all, heartbreak.I sat in my study, my hands clenched into fists on the table. The room was quiet except for the faint rustling of paper and the murmurs outside. The news had spread throughout the pack…They all knew. They knew I had rejected Tyla. They knew she had been pregnant. They knew she'd vanished, possibly hurt or worse.I could feel their eyes on me when I walked through the pack lands. Eyes that once looked to me with pride and loyalty now brimmed with judgment and suspicion. Whispers followed me like shadows."The Alpha rejected his pregnant mate.""Can you imagine the disgrace?""How could he do that to her?"I didn’t blame them as it was all my fault and I deserved whate

TYLA'S POV "There’s something... someone... you need to see.”I tried to find out more information of who it was that wanted to see me but all I got was silence. The silence in the corridor was thick as the guard led me through dimly lit stone hallways. My fingers were numb, and though my feet moved, my thoughts remain frozen on the words the Beta had spoken: "There’s someone you need to see."The guard didn’t say a word as we walked away. I tried asking him questions again but he remained tight-lipped, only gesturing with his chin for me to follow.Eventually, we reached a thick iron door guarded by two men. One of them gave me a curious look before unlocking the door. The hinges groaned as it opened, revealing a small cell lit by a single torch mounted on the wall.Inside sat a man…old, with a scruffy gray beard and deep lines etched into his dark skin. His eyes, however, were anything but old. They sparkled like twin moons, alive and knowing. He looked up the moment I steppe
