Cordelia sat on the edge of her bed, her heart pounding in her chest as the weight of uncertainty bore down on her the following morning.

‘How was I able to fall asleep?’ She uttered silently.

The unexpected visit from an unknown person yesterday, claiming to be her friend, had stirred up a storm of fear and apprehension within her.

‘If it was McKayla, I’m sure that she would have come upstairs. Only McKayla and David know my house.’ She uttered silently.

‘Could it be David?’ Cordelia said with a confused look on her face.

“No, it can’t be. I doubt he even still has my address.” Cordelia said to herself in a low tone.

Immediately, Cordelia picked up her phone and tried calling McKayla.

Fortunately, her phone rang.

“Hello McKayla.”

“Cordelia, we don’t meet until 11:00 AM, this is just 10:00 AM.”

“Oh no, no, I’m not calling about that. Were you here yesterday? Did you come to my house?” Cordelia asked, pacing back and forth in her bedroom.

“No I didn’t. I was very busy yesterday. Why?
