After Lt. Dan and Des escaped from the huge nepenthes, they lost tracked from their main goal. To gathered the herbs. The map was lost and they did not know where were they at that moment as well.
“we kept roaming around but it seemed like we do not have any progress”, uttered Des.
Good thing she easily recovered from that day when the Nepenthes ate her alive. She awed her life to Lt. Dan for saving her. She knew, saying thank you was not enough. She tried her best to be not a burden on their journey.
“yes, I notice that too”, Lt. Dan replied.
“this forest seemed endless”, Des commented.
They already forgot how many days they had been walking. All they knew was that it would take them longer time to go back to the campsite.
“are you hungry?”, asked Lt. Dan.
He noticed that Des looked pale. She needed to rest.
“not really but I feel dizzy”, she replied.
