Chapter 17

Just like any other Sunday, Selena curled herself comfortably in the blanket and was unwilling to get up. She would never get up in that early morning cold, and even if anybody bothered asking, the comfort of the bed over mucus would be her answer.

But that was not all. Sundays were the only free days she had in a week. That meant she could get up at any time it pleased her.

Selena rubbed her closed eyes when she felt something. Slowly, she tried to open them but ended up closing them again. Through the frame of the window, the rays of sunlight hit her so violently that she wished she had closed the curtains last night.

Just as she was about to go down and close it, a knock sounded at the door.

"Don't tell me you are still sleeping at this time, Sely" it was her younger sister, Bethy.

"Just when I thought this would be my best day" Selena mumbled.

She opened the door and let Bethy in.
