Liora stepped forward. “Because I love you.”

The First tilted her head. “You love a lie.”

“No,” Liora said. “I love a choice. The woman who raised me chose love over power. That’s the strongest magic there is.”

The First’s power swirled. “The gods feared me.”

“And so they should,” Liora whispered. “But that doesn’t mean I have to.”

The flames rose. The mountain cracked. But Liora held firm. She reached for the First’s hand. “I don’t want to bury you. I want to belong to you. As daughter. As blood. As soul. But not if it costs the world.”

The First Aria’s face crumbled. And slowly, She wept. “Then… let me rest,” she whispered.

And the light inside her broke, Not violently, But like the sun setting after a war well-fought. Liora fell back into her body. Aria gasped, Then sat up. Her eyes were hers again. Soft. Tired. “Liora…” she whispered.

And Liora collapsed into her arms. “I know,” she said. “I know everything now.”

Above them, the stars flared once more. Nightwind exhaled. And deep

The Null didn’t move, But the world around them shivered. And suddenly, Liora was alone. Auren was gone. The realm stretched into endless mirrors. Each one reflecting a different version of her. In one, she was Queen of Ruin. In another, still Caelen’s mate bitter, lifeless, In the darkest one, she was nothing. The Null whispered: “Choose one. And you may leave with the boy.”Liora stared at the versions. Touched each reflection. Felt their pain. Their losses. Their rage. Then she stepped away from them. “I don’t choose lies.”She lifted her hand, And shattered the mirrors. Each one screamed. The realm cracked. And at the center, Auren fell. Liora caught him mid-air. He was crying. “I couldn’t find you,” he sobbed.“I never left,” she whispered. “Not really.”The Null’s presence loomed again. “You think this is over?”Liora turned. “No. I think this is only beginning.”She raised her pendant. Let it burn. And the soul-thread she’d brought, Snapped the realm in two. Light erupted And s

But that night, in the silent heart of the Moonhall The betrayal began. Auren was gone. The guards at his chamber were found unconscious no wounds, no signs of spellwork.Only a symbol drawn on the wall in their blood: The Triangle of Null. The mark of Unmaking.Liora led the search herself. “Myra lock down the entire East Wing. Sera trace any ripples in the weave.”Altheya whispered, “The Triangle of Null isn’t just a threat. It’s a promise. Someone’s calling him back to the void.”Hours later, they found his pendant cracked, glowing faintly outside the broken crypt beneath the castle. And standing just outside it Was not Auren. But something wearing his shape. It looked up at them with glassy, silver eyes. Voice flat. Familiar. “He’s safe. But he belongs to the dark now. And the Queen must make a choice. Come alone, or he dies forgotten.” Then it vanished.Liora stared at the space where it had been. The void still echoed with its presence. Her son was being pulled back into the aby

The fire in the hearth sputtered violently. Not because of wind. Not because of spell. But because Auren was still speaking. And every word he spoke was true. “The Aria who raised you was not the one who bore you,”he said, eyes aglow with ancient silver. “And the one who bore you… still walks this world, wearing her stolen name.”Liora staggered. She turned to the woman she’d called Mother her entire life. Aria. Strong. Gentle. Fierce. The one who taught her to stand. The one who bled so she could live. “Tell me it’s a lie,” Liora whispered. But Aria… didn’t. She simply stared into the fire. Her face blank. Hands shaking.Sera stepped forward slowly. “She doesn’t know. Not all of it. That’s why the memory never cracked, because she truly believed she was whole.”Altheya’s breath hitched. “You mean… her soul was rewritten.”Auren nodded, voice distant. “The gods split the soul of Aria the First, the one who defied them. The one who wore the First Flame Crown before any bloodline exist

There was no light. No darkness either. Just an endless in-between. Sera blinked, though her eyes were no longer just her own. Her consciousness floated in the liminal haze, half tethered to Auren, half drifting through ancient echoes. And Auren? He stood ahead, motionless. But older. Eyes glowing with molten fire. Voice deeper than it should be, “Sera,” he said-not as a question, but a statement. She approached slowly. “You remember me?”He turned his head. “I remember everything. All at once.”Behind them, the dreamscape trembled, A thousand voices whispered at once: Flame… flame… flame before name…Sera reached for Auren’s hand. It was warm, too warm. “You’re changing,” she murmured.Auren nodded. “Because something woke up inside me. Something older than your war. Older than Liora. Older than gods.”And suddenly The world shifted, They were no longer in mist, but in a burning forest made of glass and memory. Ash fell like snow. Flames danced upward instead of down. In the center s

The throne room was sealed. No guards. No advisers. No blades. Just Liora and Sera. Two women with the same face. Two queens only one crown.Liora sat upright, not on her throne but across from her mirror, hands clasped tightly. Sera stood like a ghost given weight, her white robes dragging behind her like memory "You said you remember everything," Liora began. "Then start talking."Sera’s voice was ice but not cruel. “There was a time when gods played with fire like children. When souls were split to forge balance. That’s what we were. Two vessels. One fate.”She stepped closer. “I was the part of you meant to hold the darkness.”Liora frowned. “Then why do I have it too?”Sera gave a bitter smile. “Because the Circle lost control. The split wasn’t clean. I was buried in another realm without a body, without purpose. But you carried the bleed-over. Rage. Betrayal. Pain.”Her eyes narrowed. “And now, the Circle is gone. But I remain.”Liora’s throat tightened. “Why now?”“Because you
