CHAPTER 4

Vanity had been living her life to the fullest ever since she agreed to marry the wolf in sheep's clothing, except for the fact that she had to be stuck in bed for days after being ruthlessly eaten by Chandler.

It's been a week now, and a lot has changed since then. Vanity officially moved into the master bedroom with Chandler, and all of her clothes were discarded in favor of a new wardrobe. Her clothes were now proudly hanging alongside Chandler's in the massive walk-in closet.

This man's need for fashion was the same as a woman's, and she was not even a tenth of what he was. He bought all of the clothes, and she simply accepted them because they were all beautiful and fit her well. The man has good taste, and being pampered felt so good that she didn't even want to do anything.

Her previous position was quickly terminated, so there was no longer a maid hovering around her future husband, which put her at ease.

The most significant change happened to be what was going to happen later that day. Vanity awoke with a sore body from Chandler tossing her around all night. If this continues, she may need to recharge her batteries and go on another weekend outing.

It was going to be difficult to persuade her man to let her out, but she was going to give it a shot. If he refused, she was going to hit him, make him faint, and then go about her business.

After waking up, Vanity took a warm and relaxing bath. She toweled herself off and went to the walk-in closet, where she chose a white dress Chandler had purchased for her earlier that week. She decided to wear white and look pretty because they were going to get their marriage certificate.

She let her hair down and used two hairpins to keep it in place. She was wearing a diamond set he had given her the night before. She couldn't help but blush when she remembered the reason he told her when he gave her the gift.

He gave her gifts every day; she knew he was wealthy, but was it normal for him to lavish her with gifts on a daily basis, as if she were a mistress? It was their money, after all, and she was allowed to dress up. These can be considered her assets; if things go wrong, she can sell them and profit.

She twirled around the full-length mirror, admiring the lovely lady in front of her. She was initially terrified because she was lighter and paler than others, but after seeing a number of people who resembled her, she felt at ease. She didn't want to be discovered so soon.

At the very least, she was unique among her species.

Vanity examined the razor-sharp fangs that had emerged after licking her canines. It was a difficult punishment for her to try not to bite Chandler every time she came into contact with him. She'd never had so much trouble getting close to a human before. She had this strong desire to sink her fangs deep into him and drain him, especially after they had consummated their relationship, but if she did, she would lose him.

She recalled a time when she was completely out of control. She could bite and drink until the other became nothing more than a bag of skins and bones. It had taken her a long time to master that side of herself, and she didn't want to go back to being a beast.

When she was finished with herself, she exited the closet while humming the wedding march. She had never imagined herself getting married, let alone so soon. This was a dream come true for her, and no one, not even the wolf himself, was allowed to ruin it.

When Chandler entered the bedroom, he saw a happy child singing the wedding march with a smile on her face.

He could feel a happy tingling in his heart; he wasn't the only one who was excited about this.

This made him feel better. He would have hated himself if he had forced her to do things she didn't want to do. He approached her and hugged her tightly before planting a kiss on her cherry lips.

With a smile on his face, he said, "You look beautiful."

“Thank you,” she said shyly, burying her face in his chest.

He chuckled as he saw this shy side of her; he had been seeing all kinds of sides of her lately, but he preferred one side over the others. She was made for him because of her lustful side in bed.

“It's time, let's go before you change your mind,” he said reluctantly as he drew away from her.

He led her out of the master bedroom, holding her hand. With love in his eyes, he looked at her. As they made their way to the waiting car outside, the two exchanged warm smiles with the mansion's servants.

As a gentleman, he made certain that she was properly seated in the car before taking his seat beside her. They were so cuddly and lovely on their way to the Civil Affairs Bureau that they fed the driver some dog food.

The driver, on the other hand, was in a good mood because it was unusual to see his boss all mushy like that. He looked like the definition of henpecked, and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.

When the car came to a halt in front of the Civil Affairs Bureau, the two got out. Chandler took Vanity's hand around her waist and led her into the building.

The two were greeted warmly by the Director, who had been anxiously awaiting the registration since the day he received the phone call. The two followed the Director inside to his office, where all procedures were completed as quickly as possible.

Vanity smiled as she looked at the red book that held her marriage certificate. She had actually married this gorgeous and wonderful man. From this point forward, she was no longer Vanity Pearl, but Vanity Wagner.

She blinked innocently at her husband, who hugged her tightly and kissed her on the cheek.

“You are now officially mine. Where do you want to go for our honeymoon?” he asked, looking her in the eyes.

“Somewhere quiet and enjoyable,” she replied.

“I'll think about where I want to go then.”
