When Alpha Jace asked clara to give up her dream to be by his side, she willingly accepted it and did So. When he forgot her birthday for three years in a row and said he was sorry, she forgave him every time. When he hurt her feelings time and time again, showing her he was more interested in her body than her soul, she stomached it and rationalized in her head that someday his love would mean more. But when he strode into the venue of their wedding and told her he was calling it off instead of saying ‘I do’ to her because of his ex-girlfriend. Clara realised the truth she had been denying herself all these years. She is and will never be anything to Alpha Jace so when Jace comes asking for forgiveness this time around, will she forgive him?

Clara, the Alpha’s bride stares at the a gigantic arch on the altar, decorated by her most favourite flowers and a trickle of tears run down her eyes, she smiles sadly, her heart clenching in pain as she turns her attention to the walls mounted full stretch by led TVs displaying beautiful pre-wedding pictures of her and Alpha Jace. She shifts her gaze upwards to stare at the blinding lights before staring back at her feet in a desolate manner as she stands on them, the many empty seats in front of her that teemed with smiling guests a few hours ago mirror exactly how she feels within. Empty. Today was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, if she got to marry the man she loved for a decade, not abandoned by him. She can’t get that image out of her head. It was all perfect when she walked in, clasped in her father’s arm. She walked towards the altar, the song that ushered her in and the cheers and applause from the guests were loud but not loud enough to drown out the sound of her nervously beating heart. Jace looked perfect, handsome and sexy as always, she could not believe this day was finally here but he stepped down from the altar in the middle of her procession and waved his hand for the band to stop playing, sending everyone into shock. He had that look in his eyes again, the one that spelled trouble. He pried her from her father’s hand and pulled her to the side. “We can’t have this wedding today. I’ll get you a bigger one.” And just like that, he rushed off, leaving her heart in shambles. She stared at him as he left, her mouth slightly parted in shock, her heart searing in pain and even though he spoke to her alone, his voice was loud enough for those close to them to hear and the whispers quickly travelled through the crowd. Her knees felt weak and her mind went numb in pain. She turned to her father as the tears welled up in her eyes, hoping to hide her shame and tears in his embrace but he held his hands up for her to stay back, the calm look in his eyes turned cold and he shook his head at her, not in pity but in disappointment. Her mother rushed to her side and softly rubbed her shoulder, giving her a calm smile before she rushed after her husband who was already storming off without as much as a word of comfort. Clara was left in the full view of the guests in the middle of the aisle, a bride who never made it to the altar and if she needed anyone’s pity at that time, no one gave it to her. Sneer and mockery were all the guests' eyes held as Jace’s parents dismissed them almost immediately, as if they were aware of their son’s decision beforehand. Some guests whispered and murmured loud enough for her to hear as they walked past her from all angles where she just stood perplexed and in pain. “She never deserved the Alpha.” “I’m glad this sham of a wedding didn’t hold.” “She is not Luna material, everyone knows that.” “Not Luna material,” Clara scoffs, remembering that particular comment as she picks up her bouquet, ripping it apart flower by flower, “I bet Luci is,” she stares coldly at the picture of Jace on the screen, in pain of only humiliation and sorrow. That was his big emergency, Luci, his ex. Who abandons their bride on the altar to cater for their ex? Why did Jace choose to humiliate her and her family like this? He could have called off the wedding a week ago, even yesterday would have been better, not like this, not with such ridicule. When Luci returned a month ago, she worried there would be a problem but she buried all that worry behind making today perfect. She never thought her perfect wedding would be perfectly ruined in such a manner. Luci still has such a hold on Jace, strong enough to make him call off his wedding for her sake. A bigger wedding? His promise only makes her realise how ridiculous and pathetic she has been. She scoffs and shakes her head, no, she doesn’t want a bigger wedding, she wants no wedding now.Meanwhile, just at the outskirts of the Pack, in a fairly large area, a generational battle was to begin. The sky soon grew dim as the sun dropped lower, the last sunlight fading behind the tall trees around the large field. The wide field had been cleared long ago for important meetings like carnivals or speeches, but tonight, it was home to two of the biggest entities the Pack had come to know.High above, hidden behind thick clouds, Stephanie circled the area in a black, stylish jet. Its wings cut through the air without making a single sound. The higher she stayed, the safer she was from Blackwood’s sharp senses.“Gabriel, do you read me?” Her voice broke through the communication device in Gabriel's ears, even as her eyes narrowed on the ground below.“I hear you,” Gabriel’s voice answered calmly. He was already positioned on the tower miles away, his sight fixed on the field below, while his breathing slowed. “I’ve got the field in sight. I see everywhere clearly.”Stephanie ex
He walked speedily over to his office, getting out a small piece of paper, perfect for the purpose, and scribbling words on it.The office was quiet, save for the hurried breathing of Jace as he pushed his pen against paper. He bent low, shoulders tense, each word flowing with anger and quiet satisfaction.A letter from the Alpha's office to the owner of Dynasty Gym,This letter is to inform you of your immediate release from the position of the manager of Dynasty Gym, with effect from now, as you read. You are hereby advised to pack and step out of the building as soon as possible to avoid further extensive measures that would be taken if you don't take this seriously. The position of the manager of the gym will be decided by voting from the executives and workers at the gym. This is the word of the Alpha, JaceHe dropped the pen at last, leaning back with a long, heavy sigh. His chest rose and fell slowly as he read the words over again. It was decisive enough. The memory of that d
She froze, finding it hard to turn around again. Her hand still held on to the handle and key, but began to slip, and beads of sweat formed quickly on her forehead, running down her whole body.Eliana couldn’t move, the corridor suddenly felt longer, darker, as though the very walls had shifted against her. The door she had just locked before her seemed to be mocking her, calling her back inside. The voice came again, firmer this time around. “Eliana.”Atleast it wasn’t a male voice, she thought as relief washed over her faintly. If it had been Blackwood, she might have collapsed on the spot.“I’m asking you a question,” the voice said again, sharper now. “Turn around and face me.”Eliana’s throat dried, then she forced herself to swallow a painful gulp before she slowly turned to meet the source of the voice. Her eyes lifted, reluctant and scared. At the end of the corridor stood Mary with her arms folded over her chest, her posture straight and commanding, but it was her face that m
It was far more than what she had expected. Honestly, she couldn’t believe her eyes.Eliana had imagined something dark. She had expected the walls to be covered with strange carvings, symbols of dark magic, maybe even bones or strange materials that spoke of curses and shadows. But this? This was nearly the opposite. Her lips parted in awe as her whisper slipped out again, softer this time, “Wow…”The room was so beautiful. Weird, yes, but beautiful in a way that touched her unexpectedly at her heart. She stepped forward slowly, her feet feeling warm against the thick red mat that stretched across the center of the floor.Everywhere she turned, she saw her face. The woman from the photographs, the woman whose smile had softened Blackwood’s eyes in those sweet moments. The walls were covered with portraits, large, stunning portraits that showed the woman in different poses, different moods, yet each one screamed love. Some showed her laughing, others showed her with her lips curled
She had been weighing her options for over thirty minutes now, and none of them sounded pleasing. Every thought she came up with ended up sounding more foolish than the last. Eliana knew she was running out of time. If she didn’t act soon, she would lose the only chance she had, and worse, she might be caught, and if she were caught, she didn’t need anyone to tell her what to expect. From her hiding spot, she could see Blackwood’s door clearly, and just as clearly, she could see the messenger. The young man moved around, tidying up a few things in front of Blackwood’s room, and dangling from his side was the key.Her eyes lingered on it, her chest tightening. That was what she needed, that small, metallic object was the only way forward, but how was she supposed to get it?She had thought of attacking him, but that was laughable. She could barely run fast or climb a flight of stairs without stopping to catch her breath. To imagine herself attacking a wolf, one who worked so close to
He barely reacted that way to his people, he always had a smile on his face or a laid-back character on his shoulders. This side of Blackwood was one they didn’t know all too well. The messenger scrambled to his feet so quickly that he collided with the edge of the table, and papers shook and fell to the floor. Flustered, he bent to pick it up, set it straight, and then nearly tripped over the chair in his haste to leave. "I'm sorry, my Lord," he muttered under his breath as he set the chair right too, then fled, closing the door behind him with more force than he meant.Silence returned in the large room. Blackwood shook his head slowly, one hand covering part of his face as the pain lingered in his eyes, but anger remained buried inside there too. His voice was barely above a whisper as he muttered, “How much longer can I do this?”As though to answer him, a knock came again. Blackwood exhaled, reluctant, but raised his voice with a low shout, “Come in.”The door opened slowly, an
