Chapter 6

Nessa’s POV

My eyelids felt so heavy. Heavier than the trays I carried every night at the diner in Queens.

I wanted to get up to check if Zarek was awake and if Mama had eaten, but I could not move my hands. I felt like I was sinking into quicksand. I was so hot. So hot that it felt like I had a fever, but at the same time, my whole body was shaking from the cold.

“Nessa… sweetheart, drink this first,” I heard Mama’s voice.

I felt the cold glass touch my lips. I forced myself to

Chapter 11Nessa’s POVI breathed a sigh of relief when the heavy doors of the grand salon finally closed. Damn, I felt like I was choking on air while standing in front of those High Court elders. They were so fake and arrogant, but I felt even more breathless when Matthew blocked my view again. He was wearing a black silk shirt, his hair still messy, and he looked like he could walk around naked without giving a damn about the world. And now that our enemies were gone, the intense embarrassment returned to my chest. I don’t know why, but my face suddenly felt like it was on fire when I remembered what we had done last night under the full moon. Every touch of his, every whisper inside my mind… damn, I felt like running away from this man again and hiding under the sink.“Mom, your pulse is racing again,” Zarek remarked through our telepathy, clearly teasing me as he walked back toward the kitchen. “And no, it’s not because of Elder Vance.”“Zarek, shut up if you don’t want me to thr

Chapter 10.1Matthew’s POV“Where is she? Where is our female? Matthew, wake up! She ran away! Did we bite her too hard? Is she mad at us?” Match was pacing frantically back and forth inside my head, his giant golden tail tucked between his legs in absolute panic. “Check the scent! Trace the VANILLA!”I snapped my eyes open, my arm instinctively reaching out to pull Nessa against my chest, but the space beside me was empty. The white velvet sheets were cold, retaining only the faint, intoxicating scent of sweet vanilla and wild forest air.I bolted upright, my heart hammering against my ribs. A low, panicked growl ripped through my throat as I scanned the master bedroom. Her torn amber gown was still on the floor, but she was gone. Through our newly formed mind-link, I pushed my consciousness outward, searching for her spirit.I found her. She was on the first floor, in the kitchen. But right behind her presence, I felt a massive spike of embarrassment, a flush of overwhelming shyness

  • Abandoned by the Alpha King   Chapter 10

Chapter 10Nessa’s POVIt would have been such a wonderful morning. The pillow smelled amazing, the bed was soft, and I felt like I had gotten the longest sleep of my entire life. But when I slowly opened my eyes, I was greeted by the sunlight streaming through the mansion’s windows. And that’s when everything sank in.Matthew was right in front of me. He was still asleep, lying slightly on his stomach, with half of his body uncovered. I could see the massive muscles across his back and the remaining claw marks on his shoulder that I had left… from whatever had happened between us last night. My eyes widened. I looked at myself beneath the blanket. I wasn’t wearing anything either. Nothing. I mean, my shoulders were exposed, and I could clearly see the mark he had left on me reflected in the mirror across the bed. It was golden, glowing faintly beneath my skin. Suddenly, I was overwhelmed with embarrassment. My entire face felt hot, and I thought I was going to turn red all the way to

Chapter 9Matthew’s POV“She is ours. She surrendered. Do not hold back, Matthew! Claim her! Fill her with our scent, our strength, our blood!” Match was completely unhinged now, his golden claws ripping through my conscious mind and dragging the beast to the surface. He was no longer just happy; he was ravenous, driven by the absolute, ancient necessity of a Royal Alpha to fully possess his true mate.Nessa’s fingers were tangled in my hair, pulling my face down to hers. The moment our lips met, it was nothing like a gentle human kiss. It was a collision of teeth and heat, a desperate, breathless clash that tasted of vanilla, jasmine, and the metallic tang of my own royal blood from where my fangs had grazed my lip. She groaned against my mouth, a wild, needy sound that snapped the final thread of my control.I growled against her throat, releasing a deep, possessive rumble that vibrated against her skin. My large hands gripped her waist, the silk of her amber gown tearing slightly b

Chapter 8.1Matthew’s POV“Mine! Ours! Look at her, Matthew! She is wearing our color! She looks like a Goddess!”Match was roaring inside my mind, his claws tearing at my consciousness as he tried to force his way out.“Go to her! Bite her! Mark her before these other wolves look at her for too long! The moon is almost full. We cannot wait!”“Damn it. Control yourself, Match!” I growled back internally, my fists clenching so hard at my sides that my knuckles turned white. “She is still afraid of us. If you push her now, she will run back to Queens and never look at us again.”It took every ounce of my Alpha strength to keep my feet glued to the floor. Nessa looked breathtaking. The amber gown I had ordered for her fit her perfectly, matching the exact color of my wolf’s eyes. Her dark hair was pinned up, exposing her soft, unmarked neck. Seeing that bare skin made the mating heat inside my veins boil like liquid silver. The pull was agonizing. The full moon was less than twelve hours

  • Abandoned by the Alpha King   Chapter 8

Chapter 8 Nessa’s POV “Well, it looks like your bodyguard had fun, Mama,” Zarek said with one eyebrow raised as he greeted us the moment we entered the mansion’s kitchen. My son was currently leaning against the kitchen island, his arms crossed as he looked at the seven large plastic bags Matthew was placing on the counter. My son had a grumpy expression, but I could clearly see the smile at the corner of his lips. Mama also followed us from the living room and immediately started going through the things we bought. “Mom, you really made the Alpha King carry toilet paper and instant noodles?” Zarek said through telepathy, clearly teasing Matthew even though he did not say it out loud. “I felt his aura fluctuating all the way from the mall. Sexton was laughing so hard he almost lost his balance during my training drills.” “Stop teasing me in your mind, Zarek. And besides, he was the one who insisted on coming. Is it my fault that he wanted to be the one carrying everything?” I ans
