Accidental Alpha’s Bride
Chapter Six Angel's POV (First fight) My face scrunched into an angry scowl. Can anyone explain what a married woman and her man would be doing in a business meeting so late at night while they ought to be enjoying their honeymoon? I’ve sighed for the fifth time and it doesn’t seem like it's ending soon. Salvatore didn’t have to punish me like this, and he had long hours of talk and talk with different men in suits. Since we arrived in Greece it’s been work work work and every event he tagged me along like an accessory to be shown around. My legs pushed off the seat where I've been placed loudly. I walked to where he was with a few men and excused him nicely. “When are we going to retire?” my lips parted in question. My feet were burning from wearing the heels he said I ought to wear for the meeting. And the gown was making me uncomfortable. It was beginning to sting. It was a very tight sequence blue gown that flowed to the floor, expensive with a matching blue diamond set on my neck and wrist but these things bore me. A simple room and a nice comfy bed would be all I need to rest the aches in my body. “Soon.” He said matter of fact and turned back to his seat. A lady out of nowhere jumped into his arms hugging him tightly while laughing loudly. She pulls away but her arms still around his neck possessively. “Oh my goodness it is you!” she exclaimed. “Hello Ciara you look great, what are you doing in Greece?” He smiled widely, his eyes screaming with excitement to see her. A lump formed in my throat. The sight of him, and her shouldn’t bother me but it did make me cranky and lowkey uncomfortable. The scene of my ex with lacy panties in his back pocket, and a lipstick on his jacket flashed before my eyes. If I wasn’t strong I’d have slipped to the floor. “No, don't let this affect you.” I whispered. “I came over for the holiday and what are you doing here all alone? Don't tell me you’re still not married?.” Her hands rested on his shoulder as she swayed her hips to the left seductively. Desperate bitch a curse left my lips in a lowly voice as my hands curled angrily to my sides. “I’m a married man and here is my wife?” Salvatore said and walked to where my feet were pinned to the floor. “Angel this is Ciara my childhood best friend we haven't been in communication for over 10 years now and Ciara this my lawfully wedded beautiful queen. The woman who stole my heart.” Salvatore introduced us gleefully. My lips stretch into a smile as he mentioned a friend and they have no communication so it seems harmless even though the trauma from my past is hunting me over trusting any son of Adam with the opposite gender. “Hello I'm Angel, nice to meet you.” my hands stretched forward for a handshake but reluctantly she took it like it burned her with a fake dirty ass smile which was over before it touched her lips. Her arms coiled back around his shoulder as she snuggled closer towards his tall frame, he didn't seem to mind as he let her. My chest began to hurt, a tightening around my throat, air was polluted, my eyes began to blur. “Can you please permit me to take your lovely husband for a dance? It's been a long time since we saw each other after college.” Her words stressed the l.o.v.e.l.y and even when I'd hate her an inch close to him, fake marriage or not my head gave a nod. Of what use in refusing when he doesn't care about her unrestrained access to his shoulders my eyes peeled as she kept pointing out the buttons in his shirt, the nice cut of his expensive jacket, the glow of his skin and over the nice stubble he has on her fingers flipping over his body. “I’d be right back.” He gave me a quick smile and moved to the dance floor swaying to the music while her fingers coiled around his neck and his to her waist. Hot tears stung my eyes. “She is the reason he brought me here right? So he could bask under the arms of his lover while I'm seated like an idiot. Two can play this game, Salvatore Vinci-Souza.” My feet dug angrily despite the painful heels as it whisked me towards the pretty bar. A shot was presented to me by the bartender and having downed the first shot, the second and the third… My brains began to lighten up and my mood became fly and transparent. “What a beautiful night!” An exclamation rung out of my throat as my body began to quiver, heat and warmth settled over my skin. The need to shake it off till I'm drenched in sweat prevailed. A blonde younger looking man came over the bat stool. He had a ring on his lip and two pins on his eyebrow. He looked like a punk rock star fan as he wore heavy metal. “Do you mind dancing with me?” he asked sultrily and bit his bottom lip to charm but that wasn't getting to me rather the need to get the warmth supersedes my senses. “I do mind.” My voice slurred as my gaze ran to the floor to see Clara whispering words into his ear and watch a bright grin spread across his handsome face. Here my pathetic self was abandoned by the man who called himself my husband dancing in the arms of another woman. The young man took me by the hand and twirled me that body landed on his chest and with the drinks getting to my head, my waist began to grind on him feeling the music get to me. “You dance so well.” he muttered and it took me everything not to push him off but this time I'd act a little selfish and do what I want. The music continued and for a few minutes my body began to relax to sway my hips as my senses fought that it shouldn't go past this but this time it wasn't necessary to overthink things. Besides, it's just a harmless dance. I felt his hands roaming around my body and before my hands could swat his hold and tell him off the young man was sent crashing to the floor writhing in pain. “How dare you touch my wife?!” The voice boomed, throwing me off balance to see an angry Salvatore, his eyes dark with anger and his fists folded to his sides. “Wife? I didn't know the bitch was your woman.” the young man retorted. A cracking punch had his nose leaking on the floor as Salvatore gave him more face punches that the security had a hard time restraining him from delivering more deadly blows to the young man who looked terribly beaten. Clara cast me a dirty glare, went over to Salvatore wrapping an arm around his shoulder with the other hand patting his back slowly. “Salvatore dear calm down don't get worked over your wife's foolishness. Just a minute without you and she's running into the arms of another.” “No, that's false. He just asked for a dance and there's no harm obliging you went for a dance too.” “Now it makes sense you wanted to get back at me for dancing with a friend. Ciara has been buddies way back since high school and to college. How can you even think so low of me?” “Salvatore I…” “Let’s go.” he cut sharply, not sparing me. An argument took me by the arm, dragging me recklessly out of the room till I got to the car parked outside. “I can explain you have to hear me out…” “Fucking get in the car!” he snarled at me for the first time Salvatore didn't sound his usual self his aura screamed danger. Not in the mood to disobey, my legs climbed into the car and he zoomed off with speed. During the ride back to the beach house grandpa had gifted us in Greece for our honeymoon he never uttered a word. His jaw tightened and his knuckles clenched from time to time as words failed me to come up with something suitable to placate his rage. He unlocked his seat belt, cast a glare, got down and shut the car door with a mad thud that left my heart almost jumping to my mouth. He has super rage. My brain reasoned what kind of man beats up a random stranger for nothing. I was getting mad waiting hours for him and when it was time to leave he went into the arms of his so-called college friend and left me alone. Yes dancing with a stranger isn't right when my partner is a few feet away but he has a fault in it too. I came down from the car and caught him striding into the house and my feet buckled up following just as swift. He can't give me some cold shoulders that won't work. He reached the bedroom, flipped his clothes off, took a white large towel and walked in. “This isn't the time.” I muttered, sat on a wooden chair while taking the painful heels off after that, removed my dress and changed into a white simple cotton gown with a V neck. Minutes later he walked out with water dripping from his soft curly hair, his lips fresh and pink. His skin looked oiled and his usual scent bloomed my nostrils affecting my senses. My eyes traveled to his large muscular biceps and his toned stomach. He looked fit and dangerously cute. “Salvatore, can we talk?” The word rolled out of my tongue. “No we can't.” “Yes we can. I don't know what you might be thinking or must have felt but trust me to never think of entertaining any man besides you while married. Yes it's for a time but till then…” He cut in rudely. “Don't you listen? I don't want to talk about it, whatever you care to do, that's your business you control your body.” he picked a shirt and slipped it on which hugged his body tightly accentuating his toned body. Holy water. “Just don't disrespect me in public ever again.” his tone is more of a threat than a sentence. “Can you hear yourself talk? You kept me waiting for hours, got me ditched for your distant lady while I sat and sulked. You have been talking, even got into a fist punch, don't shut me out this time.” “Distant lady?” he burst into a laugh. My eyes rolled, casting him a 'it ain't funny look.' “She’s my college friend, that's all. There's nothing between us. Is that why you got jealous and tried getting a rise out of me by grinding on that little bum?” In seconds he covered the distance between us and with one pull got me from the chair to his chest and wrapped his arms around my petite frame, shocking me to the bones. “What are you doing?” A stutter left my quivering lips. He smirked as he caught the cold goosebumps spreading across my skin. His lips formed an o and without thinking crashed his lips to mine. A large alarm rang in my head. Salvatore Vinci Souza had his lips on mine and when I tried to wriggle from his hold his arms wrapped around my waist tighter pulling me into his warmth as his tongue fought its way into my mouth nibbling at my bottom lip to grant more access while taking my lips fiercely. My legs turned into jelly.Accidental Alpha’s Bride Chapter Seventy-One Sheila’s POV “What?!” Tabloid fell off my hands as fear threatens to freeze my entire body. “Relax, sip some water.” “He… he…” tears gushing out of my eyes. “Don’t speak and take your time my darling.” She softly rubs my back calming my freaked out nerves, images flashes in my head at the trauma and maltreatment I suffered at Simon’s hands and the little taste of freedom which had been snatched away. “He forced me, kidnapped and hid me away. He's free.” “Who’s he?” I point to the tabloid Elle scrunches to the ground and takes a better look at the image of the villain who had sworn to make my life a living hell. “Is he your child’s father?” “Hell no!” “Come sit here while we talk.” She admonished leading me to the couch while she plopped my back with a soft pillow to balance my growing weight. The minutes that followed we stared at each other soaking up the silence my palm formed a protective shield over my bump.

His anger erupted in the air so quickly goosebumps spread across my skin in mighty waves I could sense my teeth chattering in fear. The silent attitude my mother gave me, Salvatore won’t speak to me and out rightly denounced me as his only sibling. It hurts. I did what I did to protect him from a gold digger. I had no idea it would turn out this way. I shouldn’t have bothered myself getting in the mud to rid her from his life. Look at where it landed me. Peace eluded my sleep, daytime a mother who wouldn’t speak to me and a brother who openly loathed me and worse if she wasn't found Salvatore would never forgive me. I turned the door knob silently and walked into the room. “Mom.” “Get out of my room.” She yelled. “I’m sorry mummy, I'm truly remorseful.” I walked closer and when she didn’t yell further, used that as leverage and plopped on the vacant space on the

A call from the housekeeper stating my mother fainted and has been placed on bed rest by the doctor. “Bring her back. I want Angel back home, she left our lives and I can’t deal with her absence. Where is she? What’s stopping you from swooping her back here? Bring my daughter in law back.” “That’s the problem, I don't know where she is. I’ve hired private investigators, had my bodyguards searching cities and rural settlements yet I can’t find her.” “That witch Nicole ruined my happiness. I won’t spare her.” I see the anger radiating through her pulse. I wrap an arm around her shoulder, “Mom relax you have to rest and to do so your mind has to be in great shape. Accidental Alpha’s Bride Chapter Sixty-Seven Angel’s POV The locker. The question burned my tongue as the day went by to demand and be answered to the unending questions but I didn’t find it in me yet to question someone whose intentions since day one were genuine. It could come off as stoking the embers of an old flame. What if the locker was given to her by her late husband and the question ended up traumatizing memories. I kept my composure as I always do hoping a better time would soon be ideal to confront the situation around the locker. Seated on the couch having a bowl of pasta I ran through the channels and settled for a Cartoon Network. With nothing left to do much of the time. I rubbed my hand around the protruding bump in Elle's opinion. It blew up so fast. She’s as excited over the baby as I am. She has banned me from interfering with the business and focusing on the baby which is what I do. Eat, sleep, exercise and mop over the tv screen. It ge
Accidental Alpha’s Bride Chapter Sixty-Six Salvatore’s POV The days became torture. The nights were a worse reminder of the nightmare my life finally descended tragically. I ravaged every city and had my men searching furiously but she was nowhere to be found. The train cameras showed when she entered the train and alighted the city and after that no clue on her whereabouts. What if she left to a far away town or what if she had planned this for a while? But she needed money, clothes and housing to be able to hide perfectly. She had none of that, not the wedding ring I could guess could be sold, nothing at all. She left everything, and fled. Her letter is still on my table. I read it each night with a whiskey in hand to mourn my losses. Nothing smelled like her anymore. Her light has gone with the sunshine she brings to my dark bleak world. I beat myself everyday for what a fool I’ve been. I wanted to see her again more than anything else other than drawing my next
