The heavy blackout curtains of the presidential suite at the iconic Hollywood hotel left a sliver of morning light slicing through. Sienna Harper opened her eyes slowly, a throbbing headache pounding behind her temples. Her body felt heavy, achy, every muscle protesting as if she'd run a marathon—or worse.
The first thing she registered was the sleek charcoal carpet glowing softly in the sunlight and the minimalist dark walls accented with brushed gold. Where the hell was she? This couldn't be real. Rubbing her temples, she tried to sit up, only to freeze when a strong arm tightened around her waist, pulling her back against a warm, solid body.
Panic hit like a wave. Last night flooded back in fragments: the rooftop after-party in the hills, everyone dressed to kill, champagne flowing like water, glasses clinking endlessly under string lights. She'd been celebrating landing a tiny guest spot on a new streaming series—her first real break after years of auditions. Someone had handed her another drink, insisting she relax. She'd tried to wave them off, but the room had spun, and a man—strong, insistent—had guided her away to "rest."
He'd left her in a dark room. She'd stumbled to the bed, collapsing into it. Then, in the shadows, hands—hot, sure—had wrapped around her waist. Her body had been pressed beneath a man's, the heat overwhelming. His breath on her neck, his lips claiming hers in a kiss that was deep, demanding, intoxicating.
She remembered trying to say no, but the words dissolved into moans. He'd moved with raw urgency, tearing at fabric, entering her slowly at first, then harder, faster. Pain had flared, then melted into something dizzying, electric. She'd clutched his shoulders, gasping, "It hurts..."
He'd stilled instantly. "Are you a virgin?" His voice had been low, rough. She'd been too lost in sensation to answer. He'd brushed hair from her cheek, whispering, "You sweet, beautiful thing... you've ruined me."
Now, in the daylight, she turned her head and caught the side of his face: sharp jawline, thick dark lashes resting against high cheekbones, jet-black hair tousled. Her stomach dropped. She had no idea who he was. How had she ended up in bed with a complete stranger?
Her heart raced. She had to get out—before he woke up and this nightmare got worse. Carefully, she slid his arm from her waist and slipped from the sheets, wincing at the soreness. She grabbed her slinky black evening dress from the floor, the one she'd worn to the party, and pulled it on with shaking hands. She tied her long hair into a messy knot and glanced back at the sleeping man. He looked almost peaceful, but something about him screamed danger.
Sienna crept to the door, easing it open. The hallway was empty. She hurried out, bare feet silent on the plush carpet, heart hammering as she disappeared around the corner.
The moment she was gone, Grayson Kai's eyes snapped open. They were sharp, predatory, like a hawk spotting prey.
He sat up slowly, the sheet pooling at his waist. A hidden bodyguard in the shadows glanced at him, then at the older man standing just outside the door.
The old man—his loyal aide for over twenty-five years—knocked lightly on the open frame. "Come in," Grayson said, his voice cold as steel.
The aide entered and bowed slightly. "Young Master."
Grayson ignored him at first, rising to pull on his tailored black shirt and slacks with deliberate movements. The older man waited patiently; he knew better than to rush the CEO of Kai Media Empire.
"Do you want me to stop her?" the aide asked carefully.
Grayson's body tensed. He glanced down at the faint red stain on the sheets, and a flicker crossed his usually impassive face. Memories surged: the way her skin had felt under his hands, the sweet taste of her lips, the way his body—long dormant, repulsed by every other woman—had ignited for her alone.
He sat on the edge of the sofa, legs stretched out, exuding the effortless command of a king. "This woman... interests me," he murmured to himself.
The aide, who had watched Grayson grow from a guarded boy into a ruthless billionaire, felt a rare chill. "Say it."
"Everything is my fault," the aide continued quickly. "Punish me, Master."
Grayson closed his eyes, expression blank. The aide knew this silence meant fury—and danger. He spoke carefully: "I should not have allowed the mix-up last night. The woman I arranged never arrived. The bodyguard mistook her for the intended guest and brought her in. By the time I realized..."
Grayson opened his eyes, dark and unreadable. "Who is she?"
The aide hesitated. "Not the one I prepared, Master. A mistake."
"We can't change that now, can we?" The aide's tone was careful, but the implication was clear: the result mattered. Grayson had finally shown desire for a woman—proof he wasn't as untouchable as the rumors claimed.
Grayson leaned back, a faint, dangerous smile touching his lips. "Find out everything about her. Now."
"Yes, Master." The aide bowed and retreated.
Ten minutes had passed, and the time arrived for them to begin again. With the loudspeaker, Director Shawn immediately shouted, "Okay, time to get back to work! Is everyone ready?" Sienna was the first to return to her position, and Isabella just slowly walked back over to the stage. Director Shawn frowned when he looked at Isabella. "Isabella, how are you feeling now? I hope much better. Please, let this be the last one." "Yes, Director Shawn, I am ready," Isabella said in a hurry. "Action!" Isabella couldn't believe it, and she was able to answer her lines. For some reason, she thought that Sienna had less pressure on her. She was thankful that she couldn't see Sienna's eyes or may freeze again. So, she had to slightly sway the direction of her eyes, avoiding Sienna's eyes, and she was able to finish her part. Director Shawn was enthused with Sienna's performance and showed a lot of appreciation towards her. He frowned when he looked at Isabella. Her acting was horrendous. Isabella
There was a slight delay in Sienna's makeup because of the foundation incident, and by the time she got to the set, Isabella was there and having a nice chat with director Shawn. Seeing her arriving late, Isabella was acting very unusual. "Miss Harper is indeed a big star. Look at her making us all wait for her."Sienna simply ignored Isabella and said to the director, "Director, I'm sorry for the delay. I'm ready."Isabella saw right away that she was ignoring her, but she didn't care. There was a little smirk on her face. It was rare that she didn't use sarcasm. "Humph," Isabella said. "I guess we're up."Director Shawn understood the terrible relationship between them, but as a man, he knew it was challenging to resolve women's conflict, so he just said, "The script looks good. We are ready to shoot." The ironic thing was that they didn't get along in real life, but they were going to play a sisterly role this afternoon. In the play, Isabella played the role which was Susan's schem
There were several lead character parts for the age of fourteen, and they had professional child actors and actresses to do it. Today, they were only filming the adult parts. Camilla and Charles were scheduled to act in the morning. Sienna didn't have any filming to do today, but she watched the whole show. They were amazing, and they definitely deserved to be known as famous. The opening scene established an enjoyable, bright atmosphere that influenced the entire play. Their eyes, limbs, and lines were all in place, expressing the emotion and atmosphere of the play. Director Shawn kept shouting with glistening eyes, "Great!" Sienna had been watching it all morning and couldn't believe how creative they were. Sienna's first scene was in the afternoon. She didn't look as good as Camilla because she only used the free makeup artist. Charles and Camilla had a particular makeup artist. Sienna had just sat down and was about to get her makeup put on when she heard an awkward voice from
Grayson was lying on the bed and looked so pale. You could tell from the look on his face how much pain he was in. He had shortness of breath, cold sweats, nausea, lightheadedness, and discomfort in the stomach. Looking at him, Sienna felt even more guilty. Right from the first time she met him, she never has seen him in so much pain. She passed him a glass of water and quietly said, "Grayson, here are some pills for you." He opened his eyes, and for some reason, his eyes were darker. He raised his head, and Sienna gave him water and the pills. After swallowing them, he started to feel a little relieved. He lowered his head and held his fist tight. He was holding his stomach again. She remembered what Julian had told her, gently massage his belly. She put her hands on him and started to give him a massage. He looked at her with sharp eyes and began to refuse in the beginning. He held his hands on his stomach, not allowing her to touch him. After seeing how determined she was, he final
After their meal, Grayson could feel sharp pain in his stomach. He was full and ate something he shouldn't have. Sienna said, "Excuse me. I need to go to the bathroom." When she walked to the bathroom, Aunt Rosa put one thousand dollars into Sienna's purse secretly.Seeing this, Grayson froze. Feeling Grayson's eyes, Aunt Rosa felt a little embarrassed. "Mr. Kai, I don't have a lot of money, and I know you can tell I am not an ordinary woman. Sienna has not been very fortunate but has always been a good girl. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Frankly speaking, she is not different from my own daughter... Please don't tell her this?" Aunt Rosa never spoke to this kind of person before. As she was talking to Grayson, her voice became lower and lower. Grayson was really polite to her. "Don't worry. I promise." With a smile on her face, Aunt Rosa said, "Okay, I believe in you." Sienna walked in with a puzzled look on her face. "What are you two talking about?"Grayson pretended th
It wasn't too long after, and Grayson arrived at the Victory Hotel to pick up Sienna. It was entirely silent in the car without Mr. Reyes and Lucas. "What do you want to eat?" Grayson asked her in a low and tender voice. With a mysterious smile on her face, she blinked. "It's a secret. You will find out soon. I can promise you one thing, and that is you have never eaten there before." She couldn't remember ever being this happy. Grayson thought she seemed more elegant and charming than usual. It was something different, something he had never seen in her before. Staring at Sienna, his eyes grew soft. Sienna kept guiding the driver. After passing several blocks, they arrived in front of a shabby lane as wide as the car. "Mr. Kai, this is…" the driver hesitated. Grayson lowered his head to ask Sienna, "We are going here?" "Yes," Sienna nodded. "Stop. We are walking in alone," he sounded so profound and sexy. "Mr. Kai, you can't do this. How could you go into such a place?" the driv
When Sienna Harper was led into the office, she was shocked. The producer, Director Shawn, Mrs. Diane Lakes, and her translator were sitting in a row, looking at her with different looks, which was like a joint hearing.Sienna had seen this numerous times. She was perfectly calm and collected. "Goo
However, Isabella Ellish was going crazy. She was in her agent’s office, which was a mess. She smashed all the things she could; glasses were scattered, books and papers were thrown. She was not at all acting like a star, with her eyes being red and her hair being out of place. She was outraged “W
Sienna knew that she made a mess of her audition yesterday. She also knew that Marcus would be tough on her. She knocked on the door cautiously and then moved forward with a broad smile after she heard "come in." She entered slowly. "Hey, Marcus..." Watching her come in, Marcus just sat there arr
The next morning, Grayson did not go to work as usual. He and Sienna had breakfast together. The two of them had been avoiding eye contact, and Sienna immediately recalled the strange atmosphere of last night. She then thought about the message from Julian. Grayson didn't know what she was thinking
