Thank you all!!
Ruby We cleaned up the house after we ate sandwiches. We wanted to go to work, but neither of us felt like going to the showroom. We had a lot of work piled up, so we closed the shop and started attending to the pending orders. We also set up a booking website online, so we would not need to be at the showroom all the time. Jasper had someone there that doubled as a guard and a salesperson; the clients had to make do. Racheal and I had decided to put up our foot. I wanted more Jasper, and I couldn't wait for him to get home. Setting aside my carnal desires, I focused on Racheal and Randolph's situation. "What is the worst that can come out of this?" I asked her, and she looked at me. We were on the couch with her feet on my lap and a bowl of Ice cream on hers. I hoped her pups would not come out addicted to Ice cream. I was massaging her feet. Not like she needed it because she wasn't showing much but because it helped her relax. This was Randolph's job, but here I was doing it.
Jasper On my way back home, I bought a bouquet for Ruby. I bought two boxes of chocolate because I sense Racheal might attack Ruby's chocolate and deprive her if I only bought one. I could not wait to get back home. We were at the beginning of a serious relationship, a phase I had never been in before, and I did not want to mess things up. On my way home, I decided to branch Randolph's office to see him. He did not have to leave a pregnant woman by herself, whatever the issue was. I got to Randolph's office, and he looked miserable. It was clear the guy liked Racheal, so why was he punishing both of them. He offered me a seat and a drink which I reluctantly accepted. " How is business?" He asked me, and I nodded, saying it was fine because it was. As things were, we had clients lined up for the whole year, and we had just started the business. It was terrific, and it was also a good sign that we were on the right track. " To what do I owe this visit?" he asked me, and I smiled at
Ruby Eight weeks passed, and Randolph did not bother to check on Racheal. She had become a permanent resident in our apartment. I knew Jasper felt inconvenienced, but I couldn't kick her out. He was kind enough to furnish the apartment next to ours, but Racheal always crashed on our couch watching sad old romantic movies and crying her heart out at night. She functioned well during the day, and we worked on several projects at work, but she was utterly broken at night, and we knew only a visit or call from Randolph could fix her. It was sad, but we had no choice. Jasper and I were going strong. I had never experienced love before, but I found it was amazing. The pack members did not like me still and blamed me for Randolph's 'predicament', but it stopped bothering me because I had an amazing man in my life, and he loved me with everything he had. I would rather be loved and packless than a miserable Luna. Randolph had taken things too far, and it was cruel. It wasn't like she drug
Ruby We returned to the complex once we closed the showroom. Kevin was nervous to see Jasper, but their meeting was inevitable. Racheal and I closed the shop earlier than usual, and that was because I couldn't wait to go home to Jasper. We got to the complex, and we placed Kevin's things in Racheal's apartment, where she rarely slept. Racheal loved my couch, and I did not know why. She blamed it on the proximity and quick access to me, but I figured my friend had yet to accept what had happened between her and Randolph, and staying by herself would make it sink in. After I had helped Kevin settle in, we returned to my apartment. " Nice place, Ruby," Kevin said, admiring the one-bedroom apartment Jasper and I shared. He sat on the two-sitter couch and commented on the comfort. " Luxury couch," He said, and I raised an eyebrow because he was saying something obvious. Jasper was a professional carpenter; there was no way he would put less in his home. After I finished cooking, I
Jasper I was genuinely happy to see Ruby reunite with her brother. There was a new light in her eyes that wasn't there before. Kevin had promised me to keep Racheal from sleeping in our apartment, and he was doing his part by taking her to her doctor's appointments and keeping her occupied. Things were excellent with Ruby, and we went out more often. I also noticed that Cindy came around more often than she used to, and she hung out more with Kevin than me. She said Ruby, and I needed space, something she had never said before. Racheal looked a lot happier than she used to, and she had cut down on her Ice-cream consumption which was amazing because I felt she was eating too much of that stuff. Randolph called me to inquire about her often, and most of the time, I would tell him to call her himself, but I knew he wouldn't. He was too proud and too angry to let go and move on. Ruby and I had decided to host a game night. The whole house would play poker and watch a movie. Cindy was
Ruby Kevin's presence was a blessing. He kept Racheal occupied and, most importantly, off my couch and out of my apartment, taking her to her doctor's appointments all the time. He spent most of the time listening to her rant about Randolph, and he was patient, listening. Kevin wanted to move to town to rent a place, but I insisted he remains in Racheal's supposed apartment. It took a lot of convincing, but he soon agreed. I did not want to be apart from my brother again. Cindy entered the apartment while I was preparing the finger size food for the game night. She had with her two packs of beer. I noticed Cindy had been coming more often but kept it to myself. She came to the kitchen and placed the beers in the freezer. We hugged, and she asked about Jasper. "Yet to return from work," I said, and she nodded quietly. " What about Kevin?" She asked me. " He took Racheal to her doctor's appointment. They should be on their way back," I said, and she opened a bottle of beer and wor
Ruby. Jasper and I came out to shower, and I noticed no one was in our apartment. " Where did they go? What about the game night?" I said out loud, and Jasper laughed. " I asked Kevin to take the ladies to his place so I could spend time with you," he said," Don't worry, once we are ready, they will return," he said, and I relaxed. Honestly, I would have been pissed if they just left without eating what I had prepared for the night. Ever since Jasper installed a water heater for the shower, I had loved showering and lingering in there. Although it was not planned, Jasper and I ended up making love in the shower. We were like rabbits, always at it. It was as if we could not get enough of each other. Our wolves did not spare us either. The attraction between Kira and Leon was so strong. I figured that was what caused the claim in the first place. Leon was a powerful wolf, but he had eyes only for Kira, and I felt every bit of his adoration. While we dressed up in the bedroom, I re
Jasper Ruby's questions had got me concerned, but I honestly did not have much to say. Everything I knew about my pack and my parent's death was told to me by my mother's friend, Liam, who was now like an uncle to me. I was only four years old when it all happened. I spent the best part of my life being cared for by omega's of lesser packs under Liam's protection. Liam moved me to the complex a few months before I got my wolf to keep me hidden, and I had remained hidden since then. I had a lot of painful memories that I did not want to revisit. As vague as the memory of my four-year-old self was, I remembered my uncle beat my mother frequently because she refused to breed with him. He swore he would kill me twice, and that was all I could remember. One thing I knew was that my mother's life became hell when my father lost the death challenge. I swore never to be involved with a pack or anybody when I grew up, and I had kept that promise until I met Ruby. My father died because he
