55 Changing Tides
Ruby
Jasper returned to the room and started packing in a hurry. I felt tension, anger and fear radiating from him, and I knew something was wrong. I did not bother to ask him because I knew he was still processing it.
"We are leaving now," he said, and I quietly packed up everything I brought with me. He carried our bags to the car and checked out of the resort. I was still stunned about what had happened, and I waited patiently in the passenger's seat for him to tell me what was happening. Kira was worried too.
"Jasper," I managed to say, and he parked the car by the roadside. He got out and roared in anger. I shook a bit because his presence and authority were overwhelming. He was too powerful. I quietly stepped out to hold him.
