Chapter 22: Somebody wants to kill her.

"Someone's watching us," Michael Hooks murmured, his lips close to Athena's right ear. He had spotted a man in a black suit sitting on the opposite side with his legs crossed, reading a newspaper a few poles away from them.

Athena started to turn her head to the left to look at the man, but Michael stopped her, gently holding her cheeks to keep her facing him.

"Don't look, just focus on me." Michael advised.

"How close is he?" she whispered.

"Doesn't matter. We've gotta go. Just walk normally." Michael held onto Athena's right hand and guided her away, her bag slung over her left shoulder.

"The train will stop in two minutes. When I say run, run," he instructed, glancing at his watch.

"Where do you think you're going?" A man's voice came from behind them.

The deep voice made them freeze. Athena looked at Michael with a mixture of fear and uncertainty.
