MasukDanny’s POV
The first thing that hit me was a throbbing headache. I groaned, rubbing my forehead as I forced my eyes open, but everywhere was too dark. I felt a cold, wet sensation soaking through my shirt and pinned my palms against the ground to push myself up. Grass. I was lying in a patch of wild grass, right underneath a dying street light that buzzed and flickered every few seconds. How the hell did I end up here? I struggled to get up, my head swimming as the memories came flooding back all at once. The Camry. The driver and my.... "Oh my god! My bag?!" I turned around fast, spinning in circles and scanning the grass around me, but there was nothing. I shoved my hands into my shorts pocket, praying to feel my phone, but pockets were empty. Everything was gone. My suitcase, my clothes, my bank card, my phone...literally everything I owned in this world had been stolen in less than an hour. I blinked at the empty street, I just couldn't believe it. You talk about being unlucky? Well I practically invented the term. I heaved a deep bitter sigh, wiping dirt and leaves off my knees. Well, if I needed proof that life could get worse, this was definitely it. I shook off the damp soil clinging to my arms and started trudging out of the bushes toward the narrow paved road. I wasn't crying, which actually surprised me. Usually, I am a total crier at any slight inconvenience. If someone yells at me or if I drop my food, I tear up immediately. But right now? I didn't have a single tear left to shed. My chest just felt hollow and exhausted. I stood on the crumbling edge of the road, looking left and right. No street signs, no buildings, and no cars coming or going. I had no idea what time it was or how long I’d been knocked out in those bushes. It was just a dark, creepy stretch of road completely boxed in by trees and grass. Suddenly, I heard the faint hum of an engine, followed by tires screeching on the road in the distance. Headlights cut through the thick darkness, blinding me for a second. I didn't care who it was, I immediately started waving my arms over my head like a madman, praying they would stop. As the vehicle pulled up and slowed down, my jaw practically hit the pavement. It wasn't a normal cab or a regular sedan. It was a fancy, jet black Rolls Royce, the kind of insanely expensive car that costs millions I couldn't even dream of seeing in a hundred lifetimes. It screeched to a complete halt right in front of me, idling with a low, heavy purr. The windows were heavily tinted black, so I couldn't see a single thing inside. A sudden wave of caution hit me, and I slowly took a step back. Yeah, no. On second thought, I was probably better off walking on my own than getting into a car that practically reeked of unclean money. Before I could turn around and hike down the dark road, the heavy car door swung open. A guy in a crisp, tailored tuxedo stepped out onto the road. He had black, wavy hair slicked back, a sharp jawline, and broad shoulders that filled out the suit like he was built for security. He looked to be maybe in his late thirties, and his entire vibe screamed danger. "Are you lost?" he asked. His voice was completely flat, deadpan, like he was talking to a wall. "No," I answered, trying to keep my voice steady. "Sir, I got robbed by a cab driver and dumped right there." I pointed back toward the muddy path I had just crawled out of. He didn't even glance at the direction. Instead, he stood there staring at me intently, scanning me slowly from head to toe as if he was assessing me. His eyes lingered on my pale skin, my blonde hair, and the way I was shivering in my shorts. "You're an omega?" he asked. The question threw me completely off guard. My brows furrowed as I wrapped my arms around myself. Was my scent really leaking that badly, or was it just that obvious? "Yes... why are you asking?" "My boss needs the service of an omega tonight," he said plainly, as if he was casually ordering something. "Nope." I raised both hands in the air, taking two quick steps backward into the dark. "I am definitely not what your boss needs. I don't want any trouble, Sir." I turned my shoulders, preparing to walk away fast. "One night. A thousand dollars," the man stated, not moving an inch. I froze mid step, one foot hovering above the dirt. "A what?" I barked. The sheer size of that number completely short-circuited my brain. A thousand dollars? Just to...? "To sleep with him," he answered sternly, without breaking eye contact. "I am not interested," I blurted out, my defensive pride instantly kicking back in. "I am not a hoe, and you are being ridiculously creepy." "I am not creepy," he replied, his face completely unbothered by my insult. "My boss loves fem omegas, and you are exactly his type." "No. I refuse." I crossed my arms tightly over my chest, standing my ground. The man didn't argue or try to convince me. He simply turned around on his heel, stepped back inside the luxurious leather interior of the car, and pulled the heavy door shut with a quiet, solid thud. Wait, what?! The engine revved, and the reverse lights flashed. I panicked and ran back to the car. "Hey! Hey!" I lunged forward, slamming my open palm against the smooth hood of the car. I looked around wildly at the pitch black woods, the dark bushes rustling in the wind, and the endless creepy highway. "Are you seriously going to leave me out here?!" The driver’s side window rolled down a few inches, revealing his calm face. "Yes, I will," his voice came through the crack. "No, you can't! This place is dangerous!" I yelled, my heart drumming loudly. "I don't see how that affects me at all." "Please help me!" I begged, every drop of my fake bravery crumbling into dust instantly. The window rolled down a little further. "I will only help you, if you agree to spend a night with my boss." I turned around, staring back into the dark woods behind me, listening to the eerie sounds of the night air. I mean... for a whole thousand dollars, I could pay off my debts, stop stripping for good, get a decent apartment, and maybe even start a small business of my own. I wouldn't have to rely on anyone ever again. I scratched my messy blonde hair softly, my mind racing as the guard sat there in silence, waiting for a final answer. I swallowed hard, looking back at him through the tinted glass. "He's... he's not ugly, is he?"Chad’s POV"Are you happy now?" I asked, looking at Danny where he sat right on the edge of my bed.I had ordered Noah to clear out everything from my master bedroom, including Sarah’s personal belongings. Noah had fed her some line about how that specific room held too many memories of my single life, and that as newlyweds, we deserved a fresh start in a new suite. My life had officially turned into a high stakes game of hide and seek, all because of this tiny menace of a stripper.A menace who, as it turned out, was apparently obsessed with pink. The night I found him at the club, he’d been wearing a red lingerie set, but looking around my room now, Noah had redecorated the entire place in soft shades of blush and rose. Was pink his favorite color? I wondered, my eyes sweeping over the new silk sheets, the plush throw blankets, and the matching pillows.Noah was absurdly competent when he wanted to be. Where the hell did he even find the time to completely restyle a bedroom in a si
Danny’s POV I turned and walked straight toward the door, my hand reaching for the handle. Before my fingers could even wrap around it, heavy arms clamped tightly around my waist from behind. In one swift motion, he hauled me back and slammed me against the heavy wood. His jaw was locked, his gray eyes blazing with raw, terrifying fury. "Don't you have a single iota of fear in you?!" he growled, his face inches from mine. I stared right back into his eyes, the cold hatred scorching through my veins like poison. "No," I rasped out. "No, I don't have an ounce of fear for you." His eyes darkened, his grip tightening as he pressed me harder against the door frame. "You aren't staying in my bedroom. I have a wife." A bitter, mocking smirk pulled at the corner of my mouth. "Well, you probably should’ve thought about that last night before you dragged me into a room, fucked me, and fucking marked me," I shot back smoothly. He let go of my waist like he'd been burned, instantly stepping
Chapter 9: Chad’s POV I stood in front of my full view mirror, adjusting the gold cufflinks on my sleeves. I had an important business dinner to attend with my cousin, and I was already behind schedule. My phone buzzed on the glass table, Noah’s caller ID flashing on the screen again. I rolled my eyes and swiped to answer. Before I could even say a word, Noah’s voice boomed through the speaker. "I am bringing the boy inside the house whether you like it or not! Do you hear me?!" he barked, slamming the line dead before I could respond. I stared at my reflection, my jaw tightening as I straightened my tie. Noah was my right hand man and my oldest friend, but not once in twenty years had he raised his voice at me like that. Yet this helpless, fragile omega was making my most loyal enforcer snap at his boss. I had given clear orders: I didn't want Danny in this mansion. I had offered to let him stay initially, but he left without taking my money, and I wasn't about to run around cha
Chapter 8: Erica’s POV "Danny! Danny, can you hear me?!" I shook his shoulder hard, but his head just rolled uselessly against the sofa. His eyes were barely open, completely unfocused. "Danny, listen to me! Can you tell me where he lives? Where is his house?!" He tried to part his lips, but before a single sound could escape his throat, his eyes rolled back and closed completely. "Danny!" I screamed, shaking him again. Nothing. "Don't you know the alpha who marked him?" Dr. Gerald asked, his voice sharp with rising panic. "I don't know, sir!" I yelled back, my hands trembling violently as I sprinted over to the counter to grab Danny's phone. I swiped the screen, but it immediately asked for a passcode or fingerprint. I scrambled back to the couch, grabbed Danny’s limp, ice cold hand, and pressed his thumb against the sensor. It clicked open. I went straight to his call log, praying I would find his stepmother's number, a family contact, or anything useful. But his contacts li
Danny’s POV I stepped down from the cab, my friend Erica already waiting on the curb. She paid the driver, and he pulled away fast. She didn't press me with questions right then, which was a relief because I didn't even know where to start. I had managed to text her some details about the whole saga from yesterday, just some of it though. I had told her, I was accidentally marked by an Alpha stranger. Accident? I scoffed internally as I walked up the stairs behind her. That wasn't an accident. He took complete advantage of me. The second we got inside her apartment, I dropped onto the sofa and buried my face in my hands. "Okay, boy. You have to tell me what the hell is going on," Erica said, leaning in. Her eyes had that familiar, sharp glint she gets whenever she smells juicy gossip. "At least tell me... was he hot?" I lifted my head, giving her a flat glare. A dry, bitter smile pulled at my mouth as my stepbrother’s voice suddenly echoed in my head: Did you actually come to Mum
Chapter 6: Chad’s POV The party finally ended, and I stepped away from the crowded courtyard to grab a breath of quiet air. Before I could even loosen my tie, I saw Noah walking toward me with that familiar, pale faced look he gets when something is about to blow up in our faces. He reached me and leaned in close. "We have a problem, boss." I frowned. I had wanted just one peaceful, uninterrupted day. "Is it about the Sanchez syndicate?" I asked in a low voice. Noah shook his head. I gestured for him to follow me into an empty alcove near the courtyard entrance, keeping a pleasant smirk on my face so the departing guests wouldn't suspect a thing. "Okay. Speak." "Danny is still here," Noah said. "Why?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. Noah ran a stressed hand straight over his hair, dragging it down his face. "Danny is your wife's son, boss. Your wife's son," he repeated, his voice laced with pure distress. A little laugh burst from my chest, but Noah’s face remained st
