"She's my fiancèe," Anthon said proudly.

Sabrina's world crumbled. Her knees suddenly lost their strength that she wobbled. “You. . .what?!”

Anthon smirked, his eyes shimmering as if he was enjoying seeing her in that state. “You’ve heard it right. Nathalia is now my fiancèe. I didn’t lie when I told you I’ll propose to the one I really love as soon as I get promoted,” he said cockily then lifted the woman’s chin, "And I did. I just proposed to her a few minutes before you came in," he stated and unabashedly pressed his lips against hers.

The scene in front of Sabrina shattered her heart. She wanted to look away but it was as if they have a magnet that her eyes couldn't stop watching them.

It was an eyesore and the longer they kissed, the more painful she felt inside her chest.

Sabrina was like a statue, standing there immobile. She didn't even blink and just took all in what she was seeing.

“Do you want to see my ring? Come here, Sis, have a look,” Nathalia extended her right hand when they finally pulled away from each other and showed off the blue diamond ring on her finger.

Seeing it stung her eyes.

Nathalia didn't just steal her boyfriend but also stole her dream engagement ring.

That blue diamond that caught her attention the first time she saw it on the jewelry store was glaring at her. The stone was not huge, but the color which was rare that made her fall for it.

“Don’t you want to see how beautiful my engagement ring is, Sab? This is your dream ring, right? You're obsessed with the color blue and I forgot to tell you that I like that color as well," Nathalia grinned triumphantly. "Why don't you come here, take a closer look and have it try? This might be your only chance to wear one..'" she chuckled.

Sabrina shook her head in utter disbelief.

Nathalia was such a liar as she knew her favorite color was pink and never blue. They used to argue when it comes to choosing a color for their outfit as the woman likes to have a matching clothes with her.

"I know you have always been wanting this one, but Anthon had been saving his salary for three years to buy this for me,” the woman chirped.

Sabrina clutched her chest.

Three years?

Her head snapped at her boyfriend as her gaze was full of questions.

However, there was no guilt in Anthon's eyes. If anything, he looked even proud of what he did as he flashed her a triumphant smile.

“Don't let her touch your ring, love. She might steal and run off with it,” Anthon commented and held Nathalia's hand protectively.

Sabrina’s heart filled with resentment. She couldn't believe such people exist.

She loved and trusted them so much but what did she get from them? Betrayal. They've taken advantage of her kindness.

Looking at them, her eyes were burning as hot tears continuously streamed down her cheeks.

Not even once she suspected that something was going on between them. All those freaking years, she was clueless that Anthon was just pretending to care for her. They made her a fool!

Kneeling down, a loud sob escaped her lips. It hurts too much.

“Now that you know the truth, you can leave my office and start packing your clothes in my apartment,” Anthon stated nonchalantly.

Sabrina’s eyes shot widely at him, "That's my apartment!" she exclaimed.

She was the one paying for it so why would she be the one leaving?!

"From now on, that's my apartment. I already talked with the landlord and she had agreed to change the name on the lease," Anthon smirked.

Contemptuously, she stood up and pointed her index finger on him. But before she could lash out, someone suddenly spoke behind her, making her jump in surprise.

“Mr Fuego, the president is asking to meet you in his office,” A stern voice of a man said. “And you, Ms Smith and Ms Bennette, your break time ended fifteen minutes ago..” Harold, the CEO’s executive assistant, stated coldly.

Anthon nodded, his eyes lit up instantly then helped Nathalia to stand up. “Okay. I'll be there right away,” he said enthusiastically.

Unable to move, Sabrina’s eyes fixated on them. The excruciating pain was unbearable as she realized he never once did that chivalry to her in their five years of being together.

Anthon gave her a pointed look as they walked past her hand-in-hand, “Leave. I don't want any trash lurking here in my office”

Sabrina's fingers curled tightly, nails digging her palms. Her tears wouldn't stop falling until they walked past her. Shutting her eyes tightly, she gritted her teeth and her chest felt heavy.

The betrayal of the two people she cherished was excruciating.

"Miss Bennette, are you okay?" Harold inquired.

Sabrina quickly wiped her tears away and forced a smile, "I'm sorry," she apologized and hastily left the office, leaving the guy without glancing at him.

She kept her head low as she walked past her table. She could feel their curious gaze at her but she paid no heed and just strode directly in the elevator.

And as soon as Sabrina entered the lift, her body slumped on the floor as her knees finally gave in.

“Miss, are you okay?” a guy who was also inside rushed towards her and supported her to stand up.

“Thanks,” Sabrina muttered almost inaudibly and immediately wiped her face without looking at him.

She was not in herself and just stood there, flabbergasted while waiting for the elevator to open.

Sabrina almost ran to the parking area as soon as she stepped out of the elevator. She drove to the nearest bar and immediately asked for the strongest drink to the bartender.

It was her first time in a bar, thus, she had no idea what to order. And it was also the first time that she will drink so she was sure that whatever the bartender gives her will definitely make her drunk immediately after two or three shots.

Sabrina immediately drank the whole glass as soon as the bartender placed it in front of her. “Please keep the drinks coming,” she said.

The bartender's eyes narrowed but still did as he was told anyway.

She lost count of how many glasses she drank when she felt her head was starting to spin. But it was not enough as she could still see the faces of her ex and his mistress in her head.

“More, please,” she muttered with a slurry voice.

“I think that’s enough..” someone suddenly said which immediately caught her attention.

Sabrina shut her eyes tightly as she once again cursed inwardly. She forgot that there was a possibility that they knew Jacob because they have a common cousin which was Vince Salvatorre. “Georgina,” their boss greeted. “That’s really you. How nice to see you here. It’s been a long time. How are you doing now?” It was Ashley. “I’m good,” Jacob responded curtly. The woman chuckled. “You did not change,” she commented. “I’ve heard from Vince you’ve got your great artist back. How’s the business going?” “Good. Not going to bankruptcy yet,” Jacob shrugged his shoulders. The three women chuckled. By the way they were conversing, it was so obvious that they knew each other well. And surprisingly, Georgina seemed to be joining the conversation too which surprised Sabrina. She could already taste the blood in her mouth as she was biting the bottom of her lips too hard. All she wanted to do at the moment was to teleport or just disappear out of nowhere. Their conversation got cut off

Sabrina’s world stopped for a second. With trembling hands, she looked at Michelle with wide eyes, “W-what?” She stuttered. Meanwhile, Michelle pointed her index finger at her, “As fast as I could remember, Mr Mondragon wanted to talk to you that day..” Her eyebrows raised. “She didn’t follow him though..” Angelo chimed in. Michelle shook her head. Her eyes were shining as though she knew something which made Sabrina’s heart pounded so hard. “Ella said you left your car in the parking lot..” she muttered. All the blood got drained from Sabrina’s face. She could still remember clearly how Gabriel cornered her and forcedly pulled her inside the backseat of his car and made her sit on his lap. “I don’t remember,” she lied as she looked away and touched her left eyebrow. “Are you sure?” Michelle chirped. Sabrina nodded without looking at them. Fortunately, it was already nine and their boss already sent an email to each of them, reminding them that it was time for work. She was

“You’re glowing," Michelle commented as soon as she entered the workroom.Unconsciously, Sabrina touched her face as she could feel her cheeks instantly heated up. But she tried to compose herself and just acted nonchalant. “It’s just make-up,” she responded whilst averting her gaze.Michelle, however, raised her eyebrows as though she was not falling for it, “Since when did you learn how to put on make-up, huh?” She queried suspiciously. In an instant, Sabrina froze. Forgetting that her friends and literally everyone around her knew that she was not a fan of those things. It can even count on her fingers how many times she actually wore make-up and those times were when she attended events like her coming of age celebration and graduations. “I just wanted to try it,” Sabrina said in a tiny voice. It was not a lie though. That morning after she took a shower, she saw the set of make ups in the walk-in closet. Curiously, she took them out and got tempted to use them especially af

Sabrina froze. It was not what she was expecting to hear from him. What she actually expected was he would either accept her apology or reprimand her. Lifting her gaze, she met Gabriel’s eyes. But then, her heart almost stopped from beating upon seeing his sharp gaze. “Go back to our room,” he repeated. Sabrina did not say anything and quickly turned around. Hastily, she walked out of the office without looking back. She almost ran back to the master bedroom and dove to the bed with her face first.“He’s so cold!” She groaned. Her chest was thumping so loudly. It was not the first time he was treating her coldly but for some reason, it didn’t suit her well. In fact, she was actually disappointed about it. Gabriel could have said it nicely. He could say that he was busy and ask them to talk about it some other time. She knew she had no right to her mad as she was in the wrong, but her feelings were valid. Turning around and resting her back against the mattress, Sabrina then

  • Accidentally Married To My Ex's Boss   Chapter 143: Doubt

Sabrina was being bold to say such, but she did not care at all. That woman needed to provoke so she would stop sprouting lies anymore. Certainly, she would immediately fold once she learns that Gabriel was just on the side, listening to her make up stories about him. ‘I’m just saving you, actually,’ she thought when the woman took long to respond. “I did not steal his phone,” Janette said with conviction. Shrugging her shoulders, Sabrina looked up at her husband to check his reaction. However, she was quite disappointed upon seeing this blank expression as though he was not bothered by it at all. Sabrina wanted to ask him if he was okay with it but decided against it. However, doubt filled her heart and became suspicious that he was just lying to her. Maybe Janette was telling the truth all along or maybe they were conspiring against her. Pressing her lips, she squinted her eyes at Gabriel as she suddenly demanded over the phone, “Then give him the phone”On the other line, Sab

“Hi! Is this Janette?” Sabrina inquired. Gabriel raised his eyebrows as he folded his arms across his chest, watching his wife turn on the speaker so he could hear whatever Janette would say as well. “Yes, it's me. Who's this?” the other line answered. Gabriel's jaw hardened. ‘It's really her, huh,’ he clenched his fist. That woman was indeed fvcking wicked! At this point, he was convinced that Janette will do everything to ruin his marriage with Sabrina. But good luck to her because he won't allow that. She had to ruin him first before he could touch the thing that he had worked hard for a long time. Pursing his lips, he saw Sabrina bit the bottom of her lips as though trying to suppress her laughter. “I’m Sabrina. Is this Mr Mondragon’s number right?” her eyes were glinting in amusement. There was a long pause from the other line. Gabriel thought Janette would not answer out of shame, but he was damn wrong. “Yes, it is,” the woman chortled. Sabrina's eyes lifted on him.
