"She's my fiancèe," Anthon said proudly.

Sabrina's world crumbled. Her knees suddenly lost their strength that she wobbled. “You. . .what?!”

Anthon smirked, his eyes shimmering as if he was enjoying seeing her in that state. “You’ve heard it right. Nathalia is now my fiancèe. I didn’t lie when I told you I’ll propose to the one I really love as soon as I get promoted,” he said cockily then lifted the woman’s chin, "And I did. I just proposed to her a few minutes before you came in," he stated and unabashedly pressed his lips against hers.

The scene in front of Sabrina shattered her heart. She wanted to look away but it was as if they have a magnet that her eyes couldn't stop watching them.

It was an eyesore and the longer they kissed, the more painful she felt inside her chest.

Sabrina was like a statue, standing there immobile. She didn't even blink and just took all in what she was seeing.

“Do you want to see my ring? Come here, Sis, have a look,” Nathalia extended her right hand when they finally pulled away from each other and showed off the blue diamond ring on her finger.

Seeing it stung her eyes.

Nathalia didn't just steal her boyfriend but also stole her dream engagement ring.

That blue diamond that caught her attention the first time she saw it on the jewelry store was glaring at her. The stone was not huge, but the color which was rare that made her fall for it.

“Don’t you want to see how beautiful my engagement ring is, Sab? This is your dream ring, right? You're obsessed with the color blue and I forgot to tell you that I like that color as well," Nathalia grinned triumphantly. "Why don't you come here, take a closer look and have it try? This might be your only chance to wear one..'" she chuckled.

Sabrina shook her head in utter disbelief.

Nathalia was such a liar as she knew her favorite color was pink and never blue. They used to argue when it comes to choosing a color for their outfit as the woman likes to have a matching clothes with her.

"I know you have always been wanting this one, but Anthon had been saving his salary for three years to buy this for me,” the woman chirped.

Sabrina clutched her chest.

Three years?

Her head snapped at her boyfriend as her gaze was full of questions.

However, there was no guilt in Anthon's eyes. If anything, he looked even proud of what he did as he flashed her a triumphant smile.

“Don't let her touch your ring, love. She might steal and run off with it,” Anthon commented and held Nathalia's hand protectively.

Sabrina’s heart filled with resentment. She couldn't believe such people exist.

She loved and trusted them so much but what did she get from them? Betrayal. They've taken advantage of her kindness.

Looking at them, her eyes were burning as hot tears continuously streamed down her cheeks.

Not even once she suspected that something was going on between them. All those freaking years, she was clueless that Anthon was just pretending to care for her. They made her a fool!

Kneeling down, a loud sob escaped her lips. It hurts too much.

“Now that you know the truth, you can leave my office and start packing your clothes in my apartment,” Anthon stated nonchalantly.

Sabrina’s eyes shot widely at him, "That's my apartment!" she exclaimed.

She was the one paying for it so why would she be the one leaving?!

"From now on, that's my apartment. I already talked with the landlord and she had agreed to change the name on the lease," Anthon smirked.

Contemptuously, she stood up and pointed her index finger on him. But before she could lash out, someone suddenly spoke behind her, making her jump in surprise.

“Mr Fuego, the president is asking to meet you in his office,” A stern voice of a man said. “And you, Ms Smith and Ms Bennette, your break time ended fifteen minutes ago..” Harold, the CEO’s executive assistant, stated coldly.

Anthon nodded, his eyes lit up instantly then helped Nathalia to stand up. “Okay. I'll be there right away,” he said enthusiastically.

Unable to move, Sabrina’s eyes fixated on them. The excruciating pain was unbearable as she realized he never once did that chivalry to her in their five years of being together.

Anthon gave her a pointed look as they walked past her hand-in-hand, “Leave. I don't want any trash lurking here in my office”

Sabrina's fingers curled tightly, nails digging her palms. Her tears wouldn't stop falling until they walked past her. Shutting her eyes tightly, she gritted her teeth and her chest felt heavy.

The betrayal of the two people she cherished was excruciating.

"Miss Bennette, are you okay?" Harold inquired.

Sabrina quickly wiped her tears away and forced a smile, "I'm sorry," she apologized and hastily left the office, leaving the guy without glancing at him.

She kept her head low as she walked past her table. She could feel their curious gaze at her but she paid no heed and just strode directly in the elevator.

And as soon as Sabrina entered the lift, her body slumped on the floor as her knees finally gave in.

“Miss, are you okay?” a guy who was also inside rushed towards her and supported her to stand up.

“Thanks,” Sabrina muttered almost inaudibly and immediately wiped her face without looking at him.

She was not in herself and just stood there, flabbergasted while waiting for the elevator to open.

Sabrina almost ran to the parking area as soon as she stepped out of the elevator. She drove to the nearest bar and immediately asked for the strongest drink to the bartender.

It was her first time in a bar, thus, she had no idea what to order. And it was also the first time that she will drink so she was sure that whatever the bartender gives her will definitely make her drunk immediately after two or three shots.

Sabrina immediately drank the whole glass as soon as the bartender placed it in front of her. “Please keep the drinks coming,” she said.

The bartender's eyes narrowed but still did as he was told anyway.

She lost count of how many glasses she drank when she felt her head was starting to spin. But it was not enough as she could still see the faces of her ex and his mistress in her head.

“More, please,” she muttered with a slurry voice.

“I think that’s enough..” someone suddenly said which immediately caught her attention.

The cops seemed hesitant at first but eventually nodded and gave way to Elizabeth. As for the woman, she quickly scampered away without glancing back at them. Gabriel watched her until she disappeared from his sight. His men were there to watch and follow her anyway so he had nothing to get worried about. "We'll go with you," Harold told the police. He then gave him a knowing look before he walked ahead to his car. Pursing his lips, Gabriel followed suit. Since his car was wrecked, he went with Harold to his car and sat on the passenger's seat. "This is not part of the plan," His friend stated as soon as they hit the road. "But it's a blessing in disguise, don't you think?" he added. Gabriel didn't respond. His face darkened for it did not sound right. How can it be a fvcking blessing if there's a person who had to suffer, which unfortunately was his sister?! Even though he already cut his ties with Georgina, he still loved his sister and never wishe

Gabriel immediately got up from the bed and ran towards the patient. "Georgina!" he exclaimed while pushing the nurses on the side. "Fvck!" He felt chills run down his spine as soon as he got the clear view of the patient. It was really his sister on the stretcher, bloody and unconscious. "Gab!" someone shouted his name. Gabriel ignored whoever it was and went near her sister and shook her body. But she was not responding no matter how hard he shook her. "Sir, please step aside. The patient urgently needs to see the doctor!" one of the nurses screamed. That's when he stopped and stepped backwards. His chest was thumping so hard as he watched Georgina was moved to one of the empty beds. The general physicians then followed suit and slid the curtain to cover them. "Gab, what's going on? You shouldn't leave your bed," Elizabeth muttered. Gabriel shut his eyes and let out an exasperated breath. He curled his fingers tightly, trying to control himself from hurting

Gabriel narrowed his eyes on her. 'Does she think she can fool me?" he thought.Elizabeth was trying so hard to be a changed person and showing her that she had already accepted her fate that he wouldn't be her husband. But instead of saying anything, Gabriel kept his mouth shut and pretended to be drunk. He was not afraid if the woman had people around to take him. Harold was just around and his bodyguards were ready to attack once they saw any suspicious movements in the vicinity. The plan was to trap Elizabeth and set her up to get her caught in the act. And for them to be able to do that, he had to act and let her think she already had the chance to do whatever to him. That way, she would be focusing on him and shows her real intention. Gabriel even hoped for his sister Georgina to show up as well and help Elizabeth so they will both be captured together. He was so fed up with that woman's antic. She had to learn her lesson the hardest way since, obviously she didn't learn

The plan was going on accordingly. That meet up was just a bait and they were glad that Elizabeth was with Joseph when Harold called. Everything was really about timing and Gabriel was relieved about it since he's always at the wrong time lately. Vaughn ordered their drinks, however, it didn't stop the guy from interrogating them. "Seriously, what's going on?" he asked. Gabriel gulped down the liquor immediately, ignoring his friend's question. "Sabrina left the mansion," Harold said on his behalf. "She did? Why?" it was Joseph. Shaking his head, he poured another drink on his glass and drank it again. Not that he was acting, but because he badly really needed alcohol in his system since he really felt heartbroken thinking that he would not see his wife later once he went back to the mansion. Before that chaos happened, every night Gabriel was very excited to go home for he could not wait to hug and kiss his wife. But now that he chased her away, his heart

Gabriel clutched his fists as his jaw hardened after hearing what his father-in-law had said. He badly wanted to explain but he stopped himself as everything will be ruined if he let his emotion slip away. He left with no choice but to do it! Because if he really wanted to give Sabrina and their baby a peaceful life, he had to do something to stop whatever crazy things happening to them. "We'll go now," Tomas said. Gabriel did not look nor glance at them as they walked to the main door. For he knew if he did, he might've run after them and kneeled down to ask for forgiveness. 'Endure it!' he told himself inwardly. Despite the strong force to go after his wife to explain about his plan, he reminded himself that it was the only way he could think of to keep them safe. He had to fvcking pretend that he did not want to be with Sabrina and let her believe that he was not serious with her to chase her away. Those conversations he had with Harold earlier were intent

Sabrina covered her mouth with her palms. Her eyes were wide as saucers in shock as she stood frozen on the spot. "At least talk to her and be honest. She's still your wife. Don't forget that your marriage is real," Harold stated. Gabriel snorted, "We signed an agreement," he said curtly. "You really think I wasn't prepared for this?" That's it. Sabrina could not handle it anymore and ran upstairs. She did not care if they heard her footsteps and saw her running back upstairs anymore. What she had just heard was too painful. She did not bother locking the door anymore knowing full well that Gabriel had the master key so it wouldn't make sense. Weakly, Sabrina sat on the edge of the bed and finally let her tears run down freely. Her sobs getting louder as her shoulders shook tremendously. She felt bad for her baby but her heart cannot pretend that it didn't hurt. Hearing those words directly from Gabriel's mouth, there was no reason for her to gaslight hers
