Sabrina's head instantly whipped to her side where the voice came from, “Excuse me? Are you talking to me?” she queried.

She squinted her eyes to see his face but the lights from the dance floor were making her head hurt even more.

Grunting, she turned back to the bartender, who was just standing there and did not give her another shot.

“Can you please give me more glasses? I’m not drunk yet,” she said, a little desperate.

“Don’t. She’s obviously drunk already,” the guy on her side interfered again.

Sabrina’s head snapped back to him and shot him a sharp look, “Who are you?” she queried, “I don’t know you, Mister, so please stop disturbing me here and mind your own business"

She was about to demand to give her order again when she noticed the bartender nodded at the guy. Her eyes squinted, but when he put another glass in front of her, she immediately forgot about it and just drank it bottoms up.

"More," she muttered. "I can still remember what happened, so I'm not drunk yet. Please give me more until I forget that," she pleaded despite her head already feeling a little heavy.

“Do you want to know what happened?” Sabrina suddenly looked at the guy next to her and giggled.

There was nothing funny but she couldn't stop chuckling. She was so stupid for trusting Anthon and gave up everything for him only to get dumped like that.

Shaking her head, Sabrina shut her eyes and groaned as her head started spinning.

“You okay?” he asked.

Chuckling, she opened her eyes slightly, “I’m not drunk yet,” she replied.

Without waiting for his response, Sabrina started recounting what happened earlier in Anthon's office. She let it all out in between sobs and chuckling, not caring for a world.

“I’m so stupid, right?!” she chortled afterwards. “My dream proposal disappeared just like that,” she muttered as her tears were falling nonstop.

Giggling, Sabrina looked at the guy again, “I don’t really need a fancy ring nor grand proposal. Even if you’re empty handed, j-just. . .ask me and I. . .will immediately say yes..”

Her lips stretched widely as she shifted her gaze on the dance floor, “I want to dance,” she murmured.

With a heavy head and unstable feet, she almost stumbled as she unceremoniously stood up. Fortunately, the guy's reflex was quick and he was able to catch her before her face fell on the floor.

“Oh! My legs are weak!” She giggled.

“I’ll take you home,” He finally spoke.

With heavy eyelids, Sabrina looked up and stared at the guy. Their faces were just a few inches away from each other, hence, she almost kissed him when she moved her head.

Her heart skipped a beat as they stared at each other with eyes both wide open.

“Sorry,” the guy said, then helped her sit back on the high chair.

Sabrina was speechless.

Her eyes didn’t leave his face. It was as if her dizziness magically disappeared and her sight became clear as she stared at the most handsome man she had ever seen.

“What’s your name?” She asked without batting an eye.

“Gab,” he answered curtly.

"Gab," His name rolled on Sabrina's tongue. She giggled then quickly extended her hand for a handshake. “I’m Sab! Nice to meet you!"

Gab just stood there and did not move. On the other hand, Sabrina did not wait for him. Immediately, she took his hand and shook it fervently.

“You're so handsome!" she exclaimed. Her droopy eyes sparkled and never left his face. "What took you so long? If only I had met you first before Anthon, we’re probably married and have six kids by now..” she said shamelessly.

“You’re just drunk..” Gab responded dismissively.

But Sabrina was too drunk to notice. She even cupped his face and boldly stared at his blue eyes. "Your eyes are blue. Did you know it's my favorite color?"

Her eyes then looked at every corner of his face and every second, her eyes filled with amusement as if she was loving everything she was seeing.

"Will you marry me?" the question suddenly popped out from her mouth.

Gab stiffened. “W-what?” He stammered.

“Will you. . .marry me?” Sabrina repeated. “Please say yes,” she pleaded.

“You’re just drunk. I’ll take you home,” Gab replied instead of answering her.

“I’m not drunk. I can still stand, look..” with that, she suddenly stood up but again, she lost her balance and almost fell again.

“Oops, sorry,” she giggled when Gab caught her again.

Sabrina sighed as she caught a wip of his perfume. He smells so musky and woody which made her feel more intoxicated.

“You smell so good,” she sniffed his neck.

Chuckling, her arms snaked around his waist while burying her face on the crook of his neck. “Just marry me okay? I don't wanna be lonely. I’m scared..” she mumbled with her eyes already shut.

Sabrina stiffened. She was not able to respond right away as she thought she misheard it. “You haven't eaten, correct? Let's have dinner outside,” Gabriel stated. Blinking several times, Sabrina's ears perked up. The beating of her heart immediately accelerated as she could not believe what she was hearing. “What do you think?” he inquired. Gently, Gabriel pulled her, just enough to see her face. However, she was still in shock that her mouth was ajar slightly when he lifted her head. Meanwhile, Gabriel's thick eyebrows raised. His eyes were sparkling whilst there was a tiny smile plastered on his lips. Sabrina was rendered speechless, not knowing what to say. Her chest felt full as she stared at Gabriel. “Do you wanna go out or prefer to eat here?” he asked softly. “W-where are we going?” she finally queried. “Where do you want to go?” Gabriel asked in return. Sabrina reluctantly pulled away from him and looked everywhere but him. “Is it. . .a d-date?” she inquired in a t

Stunned, Gabriel stared at her with his lips parted slightly. That’s not what he was expecting. He believed it was Jacob who revealed that she was married or maybe a slip of a tongue. But never did he imagine that his sisters would interfere. Meanwhile, Sabrina’s eyes squinted as she shifted her gaze to nowhere. “We went to a steak house nearby and accidentally met them there,” she elaborated. Upon hearing it, Gabriel gritted his teeth. There’s a lot of places that served the best steak in the city and there was that particular restaurant that he knew his sisters loved. So, how come they suddenly went there to a place which was too far from where they were staying and usually hanging out? He did not think it was an accident at all. The triplets certainly went there on purpose. “Our table was next to them. They recognized Sir Jacob and chatted with him, then they saw me..” Sabrina continued. She told him how it happened and how Ashley was the one who spilled the truth. She said

Gabriel’s thick eyebrows deeply furrowed as soon as he reached the building where Sabrina was working. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the three people standing by the entrance without his wife. Gabriel parked the car near them. He waited as he thought Sabrina went to the bathroom or forgot something inside and the three were actually waiting for her. However, when he saw them already walking towards the car which was parked in front of the building, he quickly stepped outside the car and walked towards them. “Mr Mondragon?” The woman looked at him shocked. “Where’s Sabrina?” Gabriel asked, ignoring her. “Sabrina already left,” it was Jacob. Gabriel’s thick eyebrows deeply furrowed, “What do you mean she left already? I’m here to pick her up,” he said. “She went home,” the woman answered. “She hailed a cab..” Gabriel’s jaw clenched. His eyebrows then twitched, not liking the idea that his wife took a cab. Just as he was about to speak, his phone suddenly buzzed. “Where

A long and nerve-wracking silence then occurred after that. Sabrina’s lips parted slightly, could not believe that the guy would lie for her!She stared at Jacob with wide eyes, silently asking why he did that. But no words were coming out of her mouth. On the other hand, Michelle and Angelo walked past her without saying anything. Watching them go away, Sabrina felt even more guilty. She was torn whether to tell them the truth or just let them go while believing Jacob’s lie. However, her conscience was killing her. And she knew it won’t let her sleep at night knowing the fact that instead of fixing things, she just added another problem. Sabrina shut her eyes and released a heavy breath. It was the moment of truth. She knew she had to be honest with them even though she was not sure whether they would still accept her as their friend or not, she had to do the right thing. Her heart was beating so loud as her eyes slowly fluttered open. “Wait!” Sabrina screamed then ran after

Sabrina lowered her head. Her eyebrows knitted together as she felt ousted by her friends. She completely understood them, really. However, she couldn’t help but feel sad that in just a snap, their treatment towards her drastically changed just like that. It was as if she was a criminal and felt convicted over the crime she had committed. It was her fault, she admitted it. If only she told them about her marriage as well when she confessed what happened between her and Anthon, she wouldn't have a problem anymore. But she was too coward to be judged and too prideful. Now she had to face the consequences of her action. Shutting her eyes, she took a deep breath and let out a heavy breath. “I’ll just be the one to take a half day, Sir..” she volunteered. They all became silent, as though they did not expect it. Even she did not expect that, but it was better if she was the one who takes the leave than the two of them, not only because of the quantity but also because she’s the reaso

“Sister-in-law?” Michelle scowled, “Who?” Sabrina stood frozen on the spot. All the blood on her face got drained and she sure looked as white as paper at the moment. While her whole body was quivering from both fear and anger. “Oh, you didn't know? She really hasn't told you guys that she's already married?” Penelope queried. “Sabrina is our sister-in-law”Her face looked so innocent but Sabrina knew better. That woman was no different from her sisters as the three of them were already convinced that she was a gold digger and didn't deserve their brother. As if she chose to be married to Gabriel! She was drunk for the first time in life and was not in the right mind when she asked their brother to me. For sure, if they knew about it, they would loathe her even more. Michelle and Angelo froze. Their jaws dropped as their heads snapped towards her direction. “Y-you are their sister-in-law? H-how did that happen?” Michelle stared at her in utter disbelief. “She married our brother
