Sabrina's head instantly whipped to her side where the voice came from, “Excuse me? Are you talking to me?” she queried.

She squinted her eyes to see his face but the lights from the dance floor were making her head hurt even more.

Grunting, she turned back to the bartender, who was just standing there and did not give her another shot.

“Can you please give me more glasses? I’m not drunk yet,” she said, a little desperate.

“Don’t. She’s obviously drunk already,” the guy on her side interfered again.

Sabrina’s head snapped back to him and shot him a sharp look, “Who are you?” she queried, “I don’t know you, Mister, so please stop disturbing me here and mind your own business"

She was about to demand to give her order again when she noticed the bartender nodded at the guy. Her eyes squinted, but when he put another glass in front of her, she immediately forgot about it and just drank it bottoms up.

"More," she muttered. "I can still remember what happened, so I'm not drunk yet. Please give me more until I forget that," she pleaded despite her head already feeling a little heavy.

“Do you want to know what happened?” Sabrina suddenly looked at the guy next to her and giggled.

There was nothing funny but she couldn't stop chuckling. She was so stupid for trusting Anthon and gave up everything for him only to get dumped like that.

Shaking her head, Sabrina shut her eyes and groaned as her head started spinning.

“You okay?” he asked.

Chuckling, she opened her eyes slightly, “I’m not drunk yet,” she replied.

Without waiting for his response, Sabrina started recounting what happened earlier in Anthon's office. She let it all out in between sobs and chuckling, not caring for a world.

“I’m so stupid, right?!” she chortled afterwards. “My dream proposal disappeared just like that,” she muttered as her tears were falling nonstop.

Giggling, Sabrina looked at the guy again, “I don’t really need a fancy ring nor grand proposal. Even if you’re empty handed, j-just. . .ask me and I. . .will immediately say yes..”

Her lips stretched widely as she shifted her gaze on the dance floor, “I want to dance,” she murmured.

With a heavy head and unstable feet, she almost stumbled as she unceremoniously stood up. Fortunately, the guy's reflex was quick and he was able to catch her before her face fell on the floor.

“Oh! My legs are weak!” She giggled.

“I’ll take you home,” He finally spoke.

With heavy eyelids, Sabrina looked up and stared at the guy. Their faces were just a few inches away from each other, hence, she almost kissed him when she moved her head.

Her heart skipped a beat as they stared at each other with eyes both wide open.

“Sorry,” the guy said, then helped her sit back on the high chair.

Sabrina was speechless.

Her eyes didn’t leave his face. It was as if her dizziness magically disappeared and her sight became clear as she stared at the most handsome man she had ever seen.

“What’s your name?” She asked without batting an eye.

“Gab,” he answered curtly.

"Gab," His name rolled on Sabrina's tongue. She giggled then quickly extended her hand for a handshake. “I’m Sab! Nice to meet you!"

Gab just stood there and did not move. On the other hand, Sabrina did not wait for him. Immediately, she took his hand and shook it fervently.

“You're so handsome!" she exclaimed. Her droopy eyes sparkled and never left his face. "What took you so long? If only I had met you first before Anthon, we’re probably married and have six kids by now..” she said shamelessly.

“You’re just drunk..” Gab responded dismissively.

But Sabrina was too drunk to notice. She even cupped his face and boldly stared at his blue eyes. "Your eyes are blue. Did you know it's my favorite color?"

Her eyes then looked at every corner of his face and every second, her eyes filled with amusement as if she was loving everything she was seeing.

"Will you marry me?" the question suddenly popped out from her mouth.

Gab stiffened. “W-what?” He stammered.

“Will you. . .marry me?” Sabrina repeated. “Please say yes,” she pleaded.

“You’re just drunk. I’ll take you home,” Gab replied instead of answering her.

“I’m not drunk. I can still stand, look..” with that, she suddenly stood up but again, she lost her balance and almost fell again.

“Oops, sorry,” she giggled when Gab caught her again.

Sabrina sighed as she caught a wip of his perfume. He smells so musky and woody which made her feel more intoxicated.

“You smell so good,” she sniffed his neck.

Chuckling, her arms snaked around his waist while burying her face on the crook of his neck. “Just marry me okay? I don't wanna be lonely. I’m scared..” she mumbled with her eyes already shut.

“Wow! This tastes surprisingly good!” Vaughn exclaimed after Fabio's wife was done. She grinned triumphantly as if she was so used to the reaction. Curiously, Gabriel took a bite and he immediately nodded, agreeing to what his friends had just stated. He thought Sabrina would definitely be happy once she saw that he was able to get the exact food she was craving for. Then, his lips stretched so wide that it almost ripped his face upon remembering what his bodyguard reported to him. ‘Testing me, huh?’ he thought. “I have to go. My wife must be sulking now,” Gabriel said, then took the paper bag from the kitchen table. “Don't forget to video her reaction,” Vaughn laughed heartily. Gabriel flipped a finger before leaving them. He was shaking his head but the smile on his face did not vanish. He was happy, knowing that Sabrina will definitely forget about testing him later. Excitedly, he hopped inside his car and carefully placed the paper bag on the passenger’s seat. But before

Her eyes went wide as her jaw dropped. Her heart stopped beating for a second as she stared at her husband. However, Gabriel looked at her sharply as if he was annoyed seeing her existence. He did not say anything but his deadly glare was enough to make her rush out of the elevator. Touching her chest, Sabrina hastily walked to the exit. She did not dare looking back as she was scared Gabriel might've recognized her. By the way she looked at her earlier, she knew he did not recognize as it felt like he wanted to kill her earlier when she did not move out of the elevator which was so unlike him every time he was staring at her. Something pricked in her heart but Sabrina just shook that feeling away. She kept walking in haste until she was finally outside. Looking around, she searched for the yellow car and found one approaching. She read the plate number as what her father told and after confirming it was the one, she waved her hand in case her Dad wouldn't be able to recognize he

Sabrina's heart stopped beating for a second. Slowly, she turned her heels and flashed a smile, even though the guard wouldn't be able to see it since she was wearing a mask. “Yes?” she queried in a high-pitched voice. “Where is Isabella?” the bodyguard inquired. ‘Who is Isabella?!’ Sabrina's mind screamed. Assuming it was the nurse that was scheduled for her, she lifted her chin and replied nervously, “It's her day off today” The guy narrowed his eyes and stared at her for a long time. Sabrina clasped her hands tightly as she bit the bottom of her lips, wishing that he wouldn't recognize her. “Is there anything you need?” She asked politely and pretended to look at her watch, “I still have more patients to check..” “Sorry, you can go now,” the bodyguard finally said then stepped backwards. Pursing her lips, Sabrina stormed in the elevator with her heart pumping wildly. She then breathed a sigh of relief as soon as the door finally closed. She then pulled out her phone and

Gabriel cursed loudly. He ran his fingers through his hair as he grunted in frustration. “Where the fvck would I get that food?!” he hissed as he drove around the city. Seriously, the food in the picture seemed unreal for the moment he saw it, he almost vomited in front of Sabrina because it looked kind of gross. Fortunately, he was able to control it for he knew if he vomited, his wife's feelings would be hurt and she might completely ignore him. Taking a deep breath, Gabriel calmed himself. “Be patient. This is for her..” he reminded himself. He parked the car at the front of a restaurant for the eleventh time and quickly stepped outside with his phone in his hand. “Welcome, Sir!” the receptionist greeted. “Do you have any reservations?” Gabriel shook his head. “Do you serve this?” he asked instead. The receptionist’s eyebrows knitted together as she looked at the picture. Then she shook her head and looked at him with a gross expression. “Sorry, Sir. But we don't serve th

“What do you mean?” Tomas asked after a long silence. Sabrina shifted on her seat. She could feel her hands trembling but she tried to keep her voice firm. “I want to leave. I don't wanna stay here. Help me leave without anyone noticing” “That would be hard, Sabrina. I've seen Gabriel's bodyguards all over the vicinity–” “I thought you’re going to correct everything for me?” she retorted. A long silence came from the other line.Sabrina knew her father had no excuse anymore. She hated pressuring him but she had no other choice anymore. She can't bother Jacob anymore, nor her friends as she did not think she could trust them with her plan. Biting the bottom of her lips, she let out a heavy breath, “If you don't want to help me, just keep this a secret and don't say anything to him once I leave..” she muttered. Sabrina was about to hang up when she heard her father sighed heavily, “I will see what I can do. Don't go anywhere and wait for my call..” “Fine. And Dad, please bring a

Sighing, she put down her phone and lied down. Staring into the white ceiling, she thought about her future. There were so many what ifs and doubts in her heart. Fear was starting to build in as everything was uncertain now. It was like being back to zero where she was still unsure whether she would make it into the university she dreamed of or not without any back up plans.Sabrina clutched the blanket tightly as she shrank underneath. She stayed that way for she did not know how long. Picking her mobile phone once again, she scrolled through the screen until her stomach grumbled because of the delicious pictures she saw. Without hesitation, Sabrina leaped from the bed with her phone in her hand and opened the door slightly. Peeking through the small gap, she saw Gabriel turned his head and met her gaze. Her body straightened but she quickly cleared her throat and lifted her chin. “I want this..” she muttered, extending her hand through the gap and showing him the picture on the
