Gab stiffened.

His heart then stopped for a second as he stared at her with eyes almost pop out of its socket while his jaw dropped.

“W-what?” He stammered.

“Will you marry me?” Sabrina repeated.

He clenched his fists tightly and looked at her as if she grew another head.

“Will you?” She asked with hopeful droopy eyes.

He swallowed hard not knowing what to say. Not because it was the first time a woman proposed to him, but the fact that it was the woman he knew for a long time.

Looking away, he cleared his throat and unbuttoned the first two buttons of his long sleeves.

“You’re just drunk. I’ll take you home,” he replied instead.

“No! Go back to your seat and answer me,” she demanded while pulling his arm. “Pretty please?”

His jaw hardened.

He didn’t have any patience for anyone and could’ve just walked out of the bar and left her there. However, he wouldn’t do that as she was the very reason why he was there in the first place.

Shaking his head, he took a deep breath and silently went back to his chair without glancing at her.

Meanwhile, Sabrina straightened on her seat and clapped her hands like a penguin while giggling. “Now answer me,” she commanded.

Gab shut his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. Never did he expect the woman to be so persistent.

Finally, he turned to her direction and was about to reject her. However, he got stunned by the sight of her making the words get stuck in his throat.

The way she looked at him was making his walls crumble. Her red face was full of expectations that he doubted he could refuse if she repeated the question again.

Swallowing hard. He averted his gaze once again and just glared at innocent glass in front of him.

“Don’t you like me?” Sabrina suddenly asked.

Her voice sounded so sad which immediately caught his attention. Slowly, he looked at her again but his lips parted and his eyes widened upon seeing her already crying.

“Why are you crying?” He asked in shock.

“Is something really wrong with me? Why don’t you like to marry me?” her tears were flowing nonstop.

Gab panicked.

He didn't know how to comfort someone, thus he had no idea what to do to a crying person.

Cursing inwardly, he stood up and cupped her face. His heart melted seeing her bloodshot and puffy eyes staring back at him. Her nose and cheeks were red as well which made her look more like an pitiful innocent doll.

“Sshh, stop crying,” he hushed in a soft voice while wiping her tears.

Sabrina’s lips protruded. “Why do you hate me?” Her voice cracked.

Gab pursed his lips tightly. His chest tightened hearing her voice as he was not accustomed to it.

“Who said I hate you?” his thick eyebrows deeply creased.

“You don’t want to marry me. You’re just like Anthon. He didn’t want to marry me and proposed to someone else. Is something really wrong with me? Am I that ugly?”

In an instant his blood boiled.

That guy was a fool for taking the perfect woman for granted.

Gently caressing her cheeks, he leveled his face and looked straight into her eyes. “Don’t compare me to that douchebag. I’m not stupid like him”

“Then why don’t you want to marry me too?” She retorted.

“Because you’re drunk,” he replied patiently.

“So what if I am? I still know what I’m doing”

“Really?” he asked in amusement, “Then do you know who I am?”

Sabrina lifted her chin and smiled, “You’re Gab,” she quickly answered proudly.

“What’s my surname?” Gab probed.

Tilting her head, Sabrina’s eyebrows knitted and slowly, her smile faded.

“What’s your surname?” she repeated.

Gab chuckled.

He pinched her nose lightly then stood straight. “See? You don’t know me yet,” he muttered. “Don’t ask a stranger to marry you, especially when you’re drunk. You'll just going to regret it once you’re sober”

“But you’re not a stranger!” Sabrina argued.

His body froze.

Strangely, his heartbeat increased.

He suddenly stepped back while he stared at her as if she grew another head. He was not sure if he was nervous as he had never felt nervous before.

Meanwhile, Sabrina flashed a wide smile. “I know your name and we've been sitting here for hours and talking so you aren’t a stranger anymore~” she said in a sing-song.

Gab was gobsmacked.

He did not know whether to laugh or feel disappointed at her statement. But he admitted deep inside he got a little excited when she said he was not a stranger because he knew Sabrina for a long time.

“So, do you agree to marry me now, Gabby?”

‘Gabby,’ her voice echoed in his head.

It was like music to his ears. It sounded so good that he felt something inside his chest ignited.

His blue eyes darkened as he stared at Sabrina.

“Please?” her eyes glimmered while looking up at him.

And just like that, his self-restraint collapsed in an instant.

Gabriel shook his head. “Dad’s the one who hired her,” he said. Ashley finally stopped throwing tantrums as she looked at their father in disbelief. “Sir Gabriel, I’m sorry. I didn’t know she’s your sister,” Jannette went to him and grabbed his hand. But before she could touch it, Gabriel pulled his hand away and gave her a cold look. “S-sorry..” Gabriel sighed. He shifted his gaze back to his family and gave them a disapproving look. “Why didn't you tell me you're coming?” he scowled. Ashley, her youngest sister, beamed widely, “It's a surprise!” she chirped. Gabriel's jaw clenched, not liking her answer. He had told them to inform him when they decided to visit him to meet Sabrina and explained that his wife needed to adjust to married life first. But obviously, they didn't respect his wish and now they're telling him it was a surprise. Gritting his teeth, he turned around and was a little surprised to see Sabrina standing by the door. “You must be Sabrina,” He heard his

Her lips parted as she realized that only Gabriel could use it. But as his wife, she could. However, no one knew it yet so she had no right yet to use it. “Where are you going anyway? You cannot just come in without–” “Mrs–” Gabriel’s executive assistant cleared his throat, “Miss Bennette, the CEO is waiting for you..” he said then looked at the receptionist. “There’s no need for a pass. You can go back to your station now”The receptionist nodded before hastily strode back to her station. Meanwhile, Harold pushed the private elevator’s button and gestured for her to get in. “Can I?” She asked innocently. Then she couldn’t help but glance to where the receptionist was and caught her looking at her sharply. The corner of Sabrina’s lips curved. Then confidently, she sashayed her way inside the lift. As they reached the top floor, Harold let her step out first before he followed. “Jannette, please get Miss Bennette a coffee. No sugar,” Harold ordered the secretary. Sabrina scowl

  • Accidentally Married To My Ex's Boss   Chapter 48: Slap

The sound of a loud slap echoed inside the emergency exit. Anthon quickly stumbled backwards in shock as he covered his cheek that was hit. “Who gave you permission to kiss me?!” Sabrina threw him a very sharp look after wiping her lips. She wanted to spit as she felt disgusted with his kiss, but there was no trash bin there. “I’m your boyfriend. I can kiss you whenever I want to!” Anthon hissed while mending his stinging cheek. Sabrina wanted to slap him again for being delusional. But then she remembered what she told him when they were in the same place the other day before she went home. She said okay when he asked her to take him back. But of course, she did not mean it and was just actually part of the plan for her revenge. Pressing her lips, she took a step back again. “I just gave you another chance, but that didn’t mean I accepted you as my boyfriend again,” she stated. Although she already had it planned, just thinking about taking him back after all the things he had

Sabrina woke up alone again. Last night, after taking a shower, she found the bedroom empty. And before she fell asleep, there was no Gabriel showed up. She was starting to think that her husband just said that they were sharing a room but in reality, he was just using the master bedroom to change and then sleeps in one of the guest rooms. Running her fingers through her hair, she shook off the thoughts and got up from the bed. After doing a morning routine, she then went downstairs for breakfast. “Morning,” Gabriel greeted. Sabrina frowned, shocked as she did not expect to see him there. She thought he already left or would join her for breakfast just like the other day. “Good morning, Madame,” the butler and maids greeted her as well. “Good morning,” She replied. The butler pulled the chair for her while the maids immediately served her breakfast. “Thank you,” she muttered as she seated. The maids also served Gabriel which made Sabrina’s eyebrows furrowed. “Did you wait

  • Accidentally Married To My Ex's Boss   Chapter 46: Apology

“Gab?” a soft and sweet voice called Gabriel’s name. Sabrina pressed her lips tightly as she watched Elizabeth show up from the dining room. “Sab, Eli came back here to apologize,” Gabriel explained before he stepped to her side and turned to the woman. “Eli..” “Sorry about earlier. I was just overwhelmed,” Elizabeth muttered. Sabria’s eyebrows raised. Even though she was not good at reading people, she still could tell that the woman’s apology was insincere. In response, she faked a smile as well, “Overreacted you mean?” Sabrina almost chuckled upon seeing Elizabeth’s glare. She knew the woman wouldn't be able to keep up her pretense as she already saw her unbothered showing her rude side in front of Gabriel. “I’m not here to argue with you. Let’s forget what happened earlier, okay?” Elizabeth retorted. ‘First impression lasts,’ Sabrina wanted to say. But since she was not the type to start a fight, she just kept those words to herself and did not say anything any

“I’m here to apply for a job,” Sabrina stated. The guy behind the desk lifted his head and fixed his glasses. Just like her last memory of him, his face was still void of emotion while his lips pressed in a thin line. Sabrina fidgeted with her fingers. Years had passed but still, she didn’t know what to do after saying her intention. For years of working with him before she worked at M Corp, she only heard a few words that literally came out from his mouth. Silence stretched, leaving Sabrina wondering what his stares mean. Until finally, Jacob broke the silence by tapping his desk with the mechanical pencil he was holding. Sabrina tilted her head, trying to decipher what he wanted to say. But no matter how much she squeezed her brain, she still couldn't get it. “I’m sorry, boss?” she smiled apologetically. Jacob’s eyebrow pulled together. Right then, he lifted his hand as if asking for money. Deciding whether she was slow or her former boss became more difficult to understand

Gabriel didn't come back for dinner which disappointed Sabrina. She was waiting for him so they could discuss what she wanted to add in the agreement contract. But she had already revised the agreement thrice and still no Gabriel showed up.That evening, Sabrina stayed up till late night until her eyelids felt heavy. Eventually she fell asleep waiting for him to come home with the papers in her hand. Morning came and as soon as she opened her eyes, she immediately checked if Gabriel was there. But to her dismay, the left side of the bed was empty and there was no trace that someone had slept there. Sabrina didn't know why she was disappointed though. They were not a real couple and even if their marriage was real, them being together was only bound with a contract with no feelings and attachment. They’re there to use each other, she reminded herself. Standing up, she took a quick shower and wore a simple dress. Since Gabriel was not there, might as well just go to her parents' hou

  • Accidentally Married To My Ex's Boss   Chapter 43: Cold

Gasping loudly, Sabrina immediately crossed her arms over her chest. She felt exposed in front of Gabriel even though she’s wearing an oversized shirt. “Is that how you dressed when you were still living with your ex?” he queried. His voice was deep and calm, but there was a hint of coldness in it that made Sabrina shivered. Awkwardly, she lowered her eyes while biting the bottom of her lips, avoiding his gaze. “Y-yes,” she answered. She had no idea why she was nervous. It was just normal for a woman who lived with her boyfriend to be that comfortable. But somehow, Gabriel questioning it made her feel like she committed a huge crime even though Anthon had never really seen her wearing only a shirt without anything underneath. Although they lived on the same roof, they slept in a separate room and never once Anthon took advantage of her. Sabrina's lips pursed. Come to think of it, maybe the reason as to why nothing happened to them was because Anthon never got attracted

“No way!” Elizabeth screamed. Furiously, she walked towards them and pulled Sabrina’s hair.“Ouch!” Sabrina was surprised at the attack. She was not expecting it as she was still in trance by Gabriel’s sudden introduction of her. “Elizabeth!” Joseph's voice thundered. Meanwhile, Gabriel went between them and grip the woman’s wrist tightly causing her to squeal in pain and finally let go of Sabrina’s hand. “Get the fvck out of here before I could hurt you!” Gabriel roared as he wrapped his arms around Sabrina securely. “Gab! Why are you doing this?! I’m your fiancèe!” Elizabeth exclaimed. “Kick that slut out of here quick!” “Eli! Enough!” Joseph held her sister’s arms to stop her from coming to her. Sabrina’s mind was in haze. She was confused at the sudden turn of events. Wasn’t Elizabeth just treating her like a ghost earlier? Why did her attention focus on her all of a sudden?!“You know what I’m capable of doing when I’m mad, Joseph,” Gabriel said in a warning tone. “Let’s
