Sabrina’s body tensed up. Holding her breath, she gently pushed Gabriel’s face away from her neck. Panic probably showed her face which made Gabriel finally stop. Carefully, he put her down while her phone kept on ringing.“Calm down,” he whispered. Sabrina shook her head. How can she calm down?! They were already busted and the only thing they could do was get out of there and showed themselves to Michelle!Just as she was about to say that, Gabriel suddenly squatted down and took out her phone from her bag. Twisting her lips, she was nervously watching him. “Miss, is there something wrong?” she heard an unfamiliar voice ask. ‘Great! There’s another person!’ she thought. If only they stepped out early, only Michelle would see them. Now, they had to explain to a stranger! She’ss got distracted with the voices that she didn’t notice Gabriel slid her phone on the other cubicle. It was too late when she realized what she was doing, but she stopped herself from scolding him. Mira
Sabrina quickly averted her gaze. Her chest thumped wildly as she straightened on her seat. “Is everything okay?” Jacob queried. Sabrina wanted to snatch the menu from his hands and cover her face with it. But she knew it was nonsense because Gabriel already saw her. “I'm fine,” she forced a smile. Fortunately, Angelo and Michelle were busy reading the menu. If not, they will immediately notice that she saw something and would not stop until she said what it was. Their order finally arrived. Not once Sabrina glanced at the next table behind her boss again and just focused on her plate. Jacob ordered a lot which made a noise on their table. People around them glanced at them with judgment in their eyes. “Oops, sorry, Sir. We just got too excited,” Michelle said, a little embarrassed with her loudness. “We should behave now girls. It won’t hurt to pretend like a rich person for this evening,” Angelo suggested. Sabrina could feel Gabriel’s intense stares from the other table
“You. . .you bought my painting?” she stammered. Her boss, Jacob lazily looked at her as though what she said was not a big deal. “Yes,” he muttered.Sabrina held on the table and stared at him in utter disbelief. Profusely, she shook her head not believing that he really did that. “But why?” the question escaped her lips out of curiosity. She didn't want to know how much he spent on that. He could even just take it without paying because technically it was his property. “I like it,” Jacob answered curtly. Still in doubt, she looked at the painting again and realized it was placed where everyone who entered the office couldn't miss it. It seemed so out of place. With the theme and color which contrast to black and dark interior of the office. The shades of pink and white stood out which one would think there was a spotlight on the painting as it was glowing with the dark wall as a background. Frowning, she shifted her gaze back to her boss and caught him watching her intently.
Sabrina froze. Her eyes stuck on the man's chest but then her eyebrows furrowed upon seeing it was bulkier and wider than Anthon's. With her chest drumming wildly, she slowly lifted her gaze. Her heart then stopped beating for a second when she found that judgemental gaze. “H-harold? W-what are you doing here?” she stuttered.“Harold? Oh, I thought that's your boyfriend,” Michelle covered her face in embarrassment. Then quickly turned to Harold and apologized. “Sorry. I thought you're Anthon. I got excited because I haven't met him yet” The blood on Sabrina's face got drained. She wanted to be swallowed by the ground. Michelle was too talkative for her liking! Why did she think it was Anthon when it could possibly just be a random guy?! And out of all the people she bumped with, why was it Gabriel's executive assistant?! Holding the woman's hand, she pulled her closer and laughed awkwardly to Harold. “Sorry. But we have to go back to work,” she said, then immediately dragged he
“You're late,” Michelle stated as soon as Sabrina entered the work room. Her face was red from embarrassment. It's all Gabriel's fault! It was just her second day but she's already late. “Sorry, I overslept,” Sabrina muttered with her head low. “It's okay. But don't be late again. You know our boss is very punctual and hates late comers,” Angelo replied. Nodding her head obediently, Sabrina sat on her chair and started working. She had just made a few strokes when Michelle spoke again. “Why did you overslept though? Did you and Anthon celebrate last night?” she queried with her eyebrows moving up and down. Sabrina almost dropped the palette. Shocked, she stared at her colleague and wanted to correct her. “You've been together for five or six years. There's nothing wrong if you already did it and got pregnant,” Michelle continued before she could say anything. The word pregnant shocked Sabrina even more. It was like a new word she had just discovered that her world suddenly s
Sabrina's face contorted as she woke up. She twisted her lips as she tried as light as she could to walk to get out of the bed without waking Gabriel up. Tiptoeing, she walked to the walk-in closet to take a bath. She had no idea how long she slept or if she even slept at all. It didn't feel like it because she was still so sleepy that she could barely open her eyes. Sighing, Sabrina splashed her face with the cold water and shook her head. Looking at her reflection in the mirror, Sabrina's eyes widened in shock after seeing herself. She almost couldn't recognize her! Her cheeks were flushed as if she was wearing a blush on. While her lips were red and swallowing as if she was beaten by a huge bee. In her case, the bee was Gabriel. Shaking her head, her eyes wandered down her neck, her body went frozen upon seeing some red tiny marks on it. Sabrina wanted to scream. Her kiss marks from the other night were not gone yet. Now, she had more on her neck and all over her chest!
