Jessica had all the food in small dishes and instructed the house staff on kitchen duty to only set the table when Xavier gets back. She went upstairs and freshened up. She wore something casual and just moisturized her skin and put on some lip balm to avoid breaking her lips.

She came back downstairs and went to the main sitting room. Ever since she got to the house she had barely watched anything on television. She glanced at the clock on the wall and it was almost seven o'clock.

Dinner was meant to at least be eaten by then so they don't have a lot to battle with in terms of digestion. Although Xavier did not call to say he would be late Jessica thought as much as he had been late ever since she started living there.

She sat on one of the sofas that would give her a good look at the television and enough vision point to see who passes by the corridor. The thought of owning her company made her yearn to see him.
