Suspicion.

Anna rushed out of the apartment in a hurry, and got into the first taxi she could find.

“Where to, miss?” The driver asked and Anna told him, rifling through her purse to ensure she had enough for the taxi fare.

Her heart still hadn’t stopped pounding even as she left William behind in his apartment. A huge part of her berated herself for being so silly that just being in the same vicinity as the father of her two children turned her stupid and drove her mad at the same time. But fuck, no one could blame her because he was just as fascinating, charming and mysterious as no one she had ever seen before.

Her mind recalled the previous night, after she left the company building and was set upon by those men. It had been one of the scariest times of her life and somehow William had managed to fend them off and beat all of those men up like it was nothing! It was still quite unbelievable and she wondered if she somehow dreamt it all.

But it couldn’t be, right?
