PROLOGUE

" Meet me or you'll regret it"

The man's final words on the phone rang in my head over and over before I abruptly left the room where I was staying. 

I can't help but rush around restlessly, thinking only of saving that person.

Until suddenly, rain began to pour without realizing it... But I was unable to stop moving. Darkness permeates the scene. Only the lightning's light, which emanates from it, illuminates my route. Even the thunderous thunder that goes with it makes my heart race. Scared of being too late... 

"It's your choice, you better decide or else... You know what I mean," the man I only once knew stated while pointing a gun at that person and grinning like the devil.

However, the person in front of me was not even feeling a bit of fear, does not hesitate to smile at me and said, "Don't allow other people tell you what to do, you are the boss of your life."

I don't know how he maintains composure and considers my safety despite the threat. I broke down in tears, asking, "How can I do that? I don't want to lose you."

I glared at the person causing all of our pain, pleading with him to stop, but all he responded with was a sly smirk.

"I do the orders, so better be quick. My hands are itching to pull the trigger" 

I wanted to kill him with every way I could think of but I know I cant, I am powerless to intervene, I'm defenseless and vulnerable.

 " Samantha, you are one of the best thing that happened to me. So I don't mind dying if it means letting you live a normal life" I cried even more in front of it. I can't... I can't... 

"I'm sorry if I failed you but I promised to protect you no matter what..." He smiled while kissing my head causing another burst of tears. 

"Ah.. this is getting longer. I don't have patience for this." The man clicked his tongue as he clicked the back slide, ready to pull the trigger" Let me give you a warning."

 And before I could even move, a red liquid flowed on the face of the person in front of me at the same time as his body fell to the ground. The gun appeared in front of me, still smoking from its firing. The person holding it was looking at me with a grin, "that my dear is the result of being disobedient." 

Shaking, I looked again at the lifeless body of the person who had lost his life. 

The person who devotedly loved me... He cared about my well-being until the very end...

I wrapped my arms around his body, sobbing loudly as the rain fell heavily. An innocent life was lost as a result of my actions... A life was squandered as a result of me... If only I had done what the man wanted... He wouldn't be lying there right now...

"I think I've made my point; do you want to do it again? I've got two more bullets."

I quickly shook my head, fearful that this would happen again. My voice trembled as I said, "I-I agree..." He moved closer to him and grinned, "Then it's settled. You're mine."
