Olive lost her child

Ethan felt like the ground had shifted beneath him. His eyes were fixed on nothing, yet everything around him swirled in chaos. His chest rose and fell sharply as the weight of Ezra’s words settled in.

“She… she lost the baby?” His voice cracked, almost too soft to hear.

Ezra nodded, his face drawn. “Yeah. The doctor said the trauma and stress were too much.”

A silence fell between them.

Ethan turned his face away, ashamed. “This is my fault,” he said bitterly. “All of it. If I hadn’t given in to Mia’s manipulations—if I hadn’t allowed my hatred for Raymond to blind me—Olive wouldn’t have been hurt.”

Ezra didn’t respond at first. He just sat down beside Ethan’s hospital bed, leaning forward with his hands clasped. His posture was stiff. They had both walked the same path, driven by envy and resentment, thinking they were justified. But now, the consequences stared them down in the most brutal way.

“You’re not alone in this,” Ezra finally said. “I let my emotions t

Raymond had barely settled into his office chair when his phone vibrated on the table. He glanced at it, expecting a work notification, but paused when he saw the sender. His grandfather. He hesitated, then opened the message.it was a photo of his mom and that man, but this shot was from a different angle and it was as if his mom was trying to force a smile on. This picture is a forced picture, now something crept into his mind, he needs to check all the previous photos the grandfather showed him. This only means his mom has been leaving under the command of someone ever since.Raymond's breath caught in his throat. This—coming from his grandfather—confirmed his suspicion. The people holding his mother weren’t strangers. Probably the Old man will have a clue..Still, as much as anger burned in his chest, he couldn’t afford to act on emotion alone. He needs to hear what his grandfather has to say.He tapped on the contact and called. The phone rang once.“I knew you’d call,” his grandf

Raymond's mom sobbed as she bent her head silently, every part of her body was weak and trembling. What's this? Why are some humans so cruel, why did all this have to happen to her precious son.And it stabbed deeper than any wound.Tears filled her eyes as she looked up at the woman standing before her—Mia’s mother. The same woman who had stolen everything from her in the past. The woman who murdered Derek. The woman now targeting her son.She tried to speak, but nothing came. Her throat burned from earlier screams. Her voice had cracked so many times she feared it might never return. But the silence in the room was worse than pain. Her breath caught.Raymond.Her baby boy.He had no idea. The son she thought she had protected all her life by staying far away… that same son now stood in the line of fire. In the hands of this wicked, broken, cruel woman.Oh God, no.“Tell me what you want,” she gasped finally, voice cracking like old wood. “Please. I’m ready to do anything. Be your sl

“Where is she?” Mr. Charles asked, his voice sharp and impatient as he stepped back from Raymond’s mother, his eyes narrowing toward the door, then flicking to Mia’s mother. “You said she’d be here.”“She will,” Mia’s mother replied coldly, arms folded, her tone calm yet chilling. “Don’t be so restless. She has nowhere to go. She’s trapped. And today… she belongs to you.”Raymond’s mother flinched, her arms sore from struggling. She glared up at the woman who had haunted her life like a ghost from hell. “You’re sick,” she whispered hoarsely.Mia’s mother let out a laugh—mocking, bitter. “Sick? No, dear. I’m just focused. Focused on watching you suffer. Consider this a… favor. It’s been years since your precious Derek died. Don’t tell me you haven’t been dreaming of a man’s touch all this time.”Mr. Charles chuckled, walking in a slow circle around her. His grin was twisted, eyes gleaming with the kind of cruelty that made her skin crawl. “A woman like you… full of pride, always walki

“Oh, is that so?” Mia’s mother hissed, her lips curling into a bitter smile as she stepped closer to Raymond’s mother. “Now let me tell you something. You are nothing but a leech. A pathetic, useless leech.”Raymond’s mother flinched but didn’t step back.“I made Raymond’s grandfather hate you, you know that?” the woman sneered. “But I failed to make Derek—his son—hate you. He was madly obsessed with you. It was disgusting.” She rolled her eyes with a scoff. “No matter what I did, no matter what lies I told him about you, he kept running back to you.”“But I found another way. If I couldn’t have Derek,” Mia’s mother continued, her voice getting colder, “I made sure my father forced his father to sign an agreement. An agreement to ensure Mia would marry your son. That’s right. I’ve had this planned for years.”More tears streamed down Raymond’s mother’s face. She could not hold them back anymore. Her lips parted as if to speak, but her throat was dry and tight. Her thoughts screamed, H

Raymond’s hands trembled as he stared at the photos Daniel had sent. His heart pounded hard against his ribs. One image made him freeze. His mother. She was standing beside a man, very close to the man. The same man he’d seen in the first photo with Mia’s mother. And now… his hand was resting on her waist like they were couples. His mother’s expression wasn’t warm or calm. It was tense. Her eyes looked distant, her body stiff. Not welcoming the man 8nto her embrace. What was going on?Was she being forced into this? Was that man controlling her?Was she scared?A sick feeling coiled in his stomach. He couldn’t breathe right. Questions kept hitting him like punches, but none came with answers. Only more confusion.Without thinking, he called Daniel. The call connected at once.“Sir,” Daniel answered.“What the hell is this?” Raymond’s voice sounded in an authoritative and dangerous tone.“Sir, I was going to explain—”“You sent me this. You saw it first. Why is she standing like that?

"What's that?" Raymond asked, his voice low but sharp."According to the information we got, your mother might be under harm," Daniel said over the phone, his voice tight. "We were able to stop the ships from moving last night, but... she’s stuck with them."Raymond’s eyes narrowed. His grip on the phone tightened.Daniel continued, "There’s more. Mia’s mom… she arrived two days ago. She was at your penthouse. We don’t know the full conversation, but from what one of the inner staff picked up—it sounded like a heated argument between her and your grandfather. She stormed out shortly after."Raymond’s jaw locked. "Hmmm," was all he managed to say at first. He remembered the call from his grandfather saying, “Mia’s mother is here. You should come.”He stayed silent for a few seconds. His heart slammed in his chest. His mind raced. What is going on? Why is my mother involved in this? Why now?Mia’s mom… no. She’s involved. She has to be. She’s behind this and might also be behind Mia's a

“No problem,” Raymond said as he gently lifted Olive from the bed. His arms were strong, but his touch was careful, like he was holding something delicate that might break. He placed a soft kiss on her lips—brief and warm.Olive touched her middle finger to her lips, her hand weak but playful. “Don’t steal a kiss from me again,” she whispered, teasing him.“Okay, miss,” Raymond smiled, his eyes soft with affection. He loved seeing her like this—brighter than the day before, slowly returning to herself. He opened the bathroom door and helped her sit on the edge of the bathtub. Once she was settled, he rolled up his sleeves and turned on the tap, letting the water run until it was just the right warmth.Olive stayed quiet, her eyes calm but distant. Raymond dipped a sponge into the warm, soapy water. He knelt beside her and began scrubbing her back in small, slow circles.“The weather’s nice today,” he said softly, trying to bring a little lightness into the room. “Maybe we could sit in

Raymond stared at the message on his phone, his mind spinning.“Sir, your mom was spotted today in Manhattan, trying to leave the country. But the most surprising thing is that she was with Mia’s mom. They were accompanied by two men.”He hadn’t thought about her in years. He had buried the pain, locked it deep inside like a memory he never wanted to face. But now, out of nowhere, she was in Manhattan? With Mia’s mother? He leaned back on the pillow, eyes staring at the ceiling, heart thudding. Why now? Why show up now?He remembered the day she left—or rather, the day everything changed. The car accident. The ambulance sirens. He was just a kid when it happened, and all he saw was wreckage. He thought both his parents were dead. Not long ago, his grandfather had shown him some pictures—his mother, alive. In Chicago. With a wide smile on her face, as if she had no worries in the world. As if she hadn’t left behind a son who spent years grieving for her. That moment had shaken Raymond

"I always thought Mia's obsession with Raymond was sincere," Ethan said, his voice low. "Ever since I knew her, she’s been crazy about him. And because of that... I wanted her too. I guess I just wanted everything Raymond had."Ezra scoffed, leaning back with a weary sigh. "Then you must have bad luck with your choices. Mia’s a demon. She doesn't love Raymond—she never did. That document was also her goal.”“Yeah” it is Ethan responded. The flight back to New York was quiet for both groups.Ezra and Ethan sat in their first-class seats, lost in thought. Their world had turned upside down. And somewhere above the clouds, Olive and Raymond sat in their private jet, holding hands, yet speaking no words. The pain was still fresh.Less than two hours later, both flights landed at different airport. As Olive and Raymond stepped off the jet, the wind brushed against Olive’s face. It felt cold, even though the air was warm. Waiting by the car was Daniel, Raymond’s trusted assistant. The blac
