“Are you naturally heartless, or do you just not care about your niece?” Mia Dawson snapped, her voice sharp enough to slice through glass.

Zac didn’t flinch. He simply asked, calm and cold, “Are you stalking me now?”

Mia opened her mouth, but he cut her off before a word could escape.

“How did you find out I’m in the office on a Saturday morning, Mia?”

She paused, caught off guard, her brain scrambling for an excuse.

“It doesn’t matter,” she snapped. Her voice rose with emotion. “Tell me, Zac, have you really been so busy that you couldn’t pick up the phone? Not once? Since Aurora left your house, have you even tried to check on her? What kind of uncle are you?”

From where he stood behind Zac, Blake tried and failed to keep the smirk off his lips as he watched Mia’s fury unravel.

“She’s been sick, Zac. Really sick for days. But of course you wouldn’t know that,” she continued, bitter heat pouring from every word. “Because you’re too wrapped up in her nanny.”

“Zac,” Ava groaned, swatting lightly at his chest. “If you do that, you’ll leave me no choice but to sell them.”“And you’ll leave me no choice but to buy them all over again, Tinkerbell,” he shot back with a wide grin and a bold wink, tugging her firmly against his chest.Ava sighed, the urge to argue dissolving as her gaze met his. She stared into his deep brown eyes, finding herself momentarily speechless.“Don’t give me that look, babe,” he murmured, leaning in until his breath danced at the tip of her nose, hot one moment, cool the next, sending a trail of goosebumps across her skin.“As we speak,” he whispered, “you’ve got full access to this penthouse, baby. So if your little apartment can’t fit all your cars, just come here and take your pick. Anything you want.”Each word fell slow and deliberate as his lips grazed the curve of her neck. The rasp of his stubble against her soft skin made her giggle, half ticklish, half breathless.Ava’s eyes fluttered shut as his warm mouth l

  • Acknowledged By A Mafia Leader   His Jealousy

By now, Zac had dismissed Blake, who bowed slightly, his usual quiet display of respect before departing.Zac then motioned for Nick to come forward.“Yes, boss,” Nick said promptly, hurrying over to where Zac stood.Zac turned slightly, angling his body so Ava wouldn’t overhear their conversation. His voice was low, controlled. “How was the driving lesson?”Nick’s face lit up with enthusiasm. “Honestly? I’m impressed. Ava’s a natural, quick to understand, quick to adapt. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s ready to hit the highway after tomorrow’s session.”Zac’s jaw tightened. His lips pressed into a thin line, and a faint crease formed between his brows.Part of him was genuinely pleased to hear it. He liked efficiency, results, and progress. But the other part of him… the part he kept buried, clenched its fists in silent fury. Why the hell had she smiled at Nick like that?So bright. So carefree.Like she used to smile at him.He wanted to yell, grabbed Nick by the collar and demand t

He couldn’t quite place what kind of mood he was in at the moment.“Zac, take me with you when you leave. I want to spend the weekend with you and Ava. I miss her so much,” Aurora said brightly, her small hand wrapping around Zac’s large, powerful one.Zac looked down at the little angel and smiled softly, momentarily forgetting that he had been angry just a moment ago.“If that’s what you want, sweetheart,” he replied.Just then, the front door swung open and Mia Dawson stepped into the exquisitely decorated living room. But the instant her eyes met Zac’s, she wished the ground would open up and swallow her whole.Busted.“Mommy!” Aurora squealed with delight, hurrying over to where her mother stood. “Look, I’m going with Zac! I get to see my babysitter again!”A surge of anger bubbled in Mia’s chest. She loathed how her daughter spoke so fondly of that mere nanny, perhaps because the woman had somehow carved out a place in Zac’s otherwise impenetrable heart. How unfortunate. Mia had

  • Acknowledged By A Mafia Leader   The Smile He Never Wore

“Mr. Gonzalez?”The voice of Mr. Robinson Green, a hulking, unsettling figure and one of the largest shareholders in Gonzalez Corp. cut through the boardroom air like a knife. His eyes were narrowed, assessing. “Are you… with us?”Every head turned toward the chairman. Even his assistant glanced at him, concern etched across her features.Zachary Gonzalez inhaled a strained breath and slowly leaned back in his leather chair, folding his arms across his chest. His eyes, once sharp and dominant, had softened, distant. With a short wave and a tight nod, he murmured, “You may continue.”But his mind wasn’t in the room. It hadn’t been for a while now.Her touch… her body… the addictive sweetness of her smile, the way her voice had turned molten with desire. His thoughts kept looping back to last night, Ava.He clenched his jaw, trying to refocus. Just then, a comment broke through the fog of his daydream.“This is becoming a serious concern,” said a bald man seated next to Robinson, his to

  • Acknowledged By A Mafia Leader   Priceless Treasure

“You’re spending the weekend with me, Tinkerbell,” Zac murmured, voice husky as his eyes drank her in.With slow care, he brushed back the silky tendrils of her hair that clung damply to her forehead.Ava nodded, heart fluttering like she’d waited forever to hear those words. They lay side by side, bare, spent, and still basking in the heat of what they’d just shared. It had been their second time, and yet this… this had felt even more intense, more intoxicating. She never knew such pleasure existed. Never imagined she’d want to linger forever on the edge of something so consuming.Zac reached out, pulling her gently into his arms. Her head rested on his broad, steady chest, and he drew the comforter over them both, cocooning them in a warm silence.Ava’s fingers traced lazy circles on his skin as she inhaled his scent, woodsy, smoky, and dangerously addictive. But as her body relaxed, her mind stirred. A flicker of a memory broke through, the image of the man who had stood in Zac’s p
