(Leigh’s POV)
“You should have just gone to the beach, Leigh. What’s this for?” Alfie asks after giving me the half-kilo of rock salt.
“I’ve been experiencing bad luck today,” I answered while checking on the salt. I wondered if it had something to do with marrying Alex or if something in me had changed since I met him. I shook my head, brushing off wild thoughts about him.
He took it back, surprising me. “I should have brought you pink Himalayan salt then.” He clucked his tongue as he placed it on the table.
“Hey!” I groaned, reaching for the paper bag, but Alfie took it again, and this time, he gave it to Elle.
