"Who are you? Where did you come from? How dare you intrude on a family in their time of sorrow!" Head Nurse Yanti shouted, her face flushed with anger, as two young nurses stepped forward to pull Adnan from the room.

The wife, who had heard his words, stopped weeping instantly and turned toward him. "What… what did you say? My husband… is he still alive?"

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Bright blue holographic light flared before his eyes, so brilliant he had to shield them for a moment.

[SIDE MISSION]

[Prove that Budi Santoso is alive and stabilize his condition]

[Status: Active — Immediate]

[Reward: ×2 Experience Points, Access to Emergency Healing Ability]

[Failure Consequence: All Points lost, System dormant for 7 days, Extreme Fatigue for 3 days]

[IMMEDIATE INSTRUCTION: Touch the patient’s chest and activate Deep Diagnosis to show proof to everyone present]

---

Without hesitation, Adnan pulled his hands free from the nurses’ grasp and strode quickly to Budi Santoso’s bedside.

"Wait! I can prove it!" he called out, his voice stronger now.

Head Nurse Yanti tried to block him. "Stop this at once! Do not interfere in medical matters that are none of your concern!"

But Adnan had already placed his hand over the patient’s chest. The moment his fingertips brushed the fabric, a medical display screen appeared—visible to everyone in the room—showing a faint but steady heartbeat, blood‑oxygen levels, and a real‑time overview of Budi Santoso’s physical state.

"The patient is alive," Adnan said firmly. "The cause is a severe allergic reaction to a cephalosporin‑class medication. This condition is called suspended animation—the body enters a protective state where vital signs appear to vanish."

Silence fell over the room. The wife stopped crying, staring at the display in disbelief; the jagged, gentle waves on the monitor proved life was still there.

Head Nurse Yanti frowned, raising a hand to her mouth. "This… this cannot be. How could you make his heart beat again?"

[Master Adnan, activate Emergency Healing Ability now to begin stabilization. You have only 15 minutes before the patient’s condition worsens]

Adnan nodded and placed both hands over Budi Santoso’s chest. A soft, white light radiated from his palms, sinking into the patient’s body.

Immediately, the vital signs monitor began to climb—a heartbeat faint but unmistakable.

"He’s right! Mr. Budi does have a pulse! His oxygen levels are rising too!" one of the young nurses cried out, watching the screen.

Head Nurse Yanti acted at once. "Quick! Call Dr. Rahman immediately! Tell him we have a suspended animation case requiring emergency intervention! And prepare the intensive care unit right away!"

The wife gripped Adnan’s hand tightly, her eyes brimming—not with sorrow, but with joy. "Oh God… thank You for sending him. Please… please help my husband."

Adnan felt a quiet humility—he knew it was not his doing alone, but the System’s.

"I will do everything I can, Ma’am. But we will need the medical team’s help too," he replied gently.

Moments later, rapid footsteps echoed down the corridor as Dr. Rahman hurried in, followed by two nurses pushing a trolley of emergency equipment. The 52‑year‑old doctor still wore a slightly crumpled surgical coat, showing he had come straight from another procedure.

"I was told we have a suspended animation case. Where is the patient?" Dr. Rahman asked, breathless as he entered.

Head Nurse Yanti gestured toward the bed. "Here, Doctor. Mr. Budi Santoso. We initially diagnosed clinical death—but then this man arrived, and everything changed. His heart is beating again, faintly but steadily."

Dr. Rahman stepped to the bedside, taking out his stethoscope to check the heartbeat and breathing. He quickly examined the patient’s eyes and blood pressure, his skepticism slowly giving way to genuine astonishment.

"Pulse is weak but stable. Blood pressure is rising gradually. This truly is suspended animation—I have only ever read about it in medical journals!" Dr. Rahman said as he jotted down notes. He then turned to Adnan.

"You were the one who noticed this? How did you recognize such a rare condition? And… aren’t you a patient here yourself?" he asked, eyeing Adnan’s hospital attire with curiosity.

Adnan felt a little nervous but spoke clearly. "I… I have read about similar cases in medical books I studied on my own, Doctor. When I saw Mr. Budi, something seemed wrong, so I tried checking him in my own way." He kept the truth about the System to himself.

[Master Adnan, provide additional information on the required antidote. The System has identified that only specific medication will fully restore the patient from suspended animation]

Adnan nodded slowly, reading the text only he could see.

"Doctor, from what I have studied, patients with this kind of severe allergic reaction require epinephrine at a precise dosage, along with electrolyte infusions and the correct antihistamines. We must also maintain his body temperature to prevent organ damage," Adnan said earnestly.

"That is remarkably accurate. Have you studied medicine before?" Dr. Rahman asked, looking impressed.

"Not formally, Doctor. Just personal interest," Adnan replied, shaking his head.

"Very well—let’s begin. Team, prepare 0.5 mg epinephrine, 0.9% saline infusion, and the appropriate antihistamine dosage for his weight! And run a rapid blood test to confirm allergen levels are dropping!" Dr. Rahman commanded.

As the team worked, Dr. Rahman monitored Budi closely, providing temporary respiratory support. Within minutes, the medications began to take effect.

"Look! His consciousness is climbing—now at 55%!" a nurse cried out joyfully.

The wife, who had sat quietly holding her husband’s hand, wept again—this time with happiness.

"Dearest… my love… please wake up," she whispered.

"He is improving, Ma’am. With proper care, God willing, he will regain consciousness soon. We will move him to intensive care for close observation," Dr. Rahman said with a warm smile.

"Thank you. Without you, we would have lost him. Thank you so much," Dr. Rahman said sincerely.

Adnan smiled back. "You are welcome, Doctor." He nodded gently.

"No, I haven’t taken anything at all," Adnan said, keeping his voice as steady as he could. He had to lie—how could he possibly explain that his healing came from a potion given by a mysterious System living inside his mind? Dr. Adi studied him closely. His sharp gaze moved from Adnan’s face to his hands resting atop the bed. "Wait… am I mistaken? When you were wheeled into surgery, your skin was dark and dull from severe diabetic complications. But now… it’s clear and fresh—like someone who has never been ill a day in their life," Dr. Adi said, gently turning Adnan’s hands over to examine every detail. Adnan felt his face grow warm. He scratched his cheek, though it wasn’t itchy, and turned toward the window overlooking the hospital garden. "You… you must be seeing things, Doctor. Perhaps it’s just the lighting in here," he replied, his tone evasive. Dr. Adi shook his head, unconvinced. "Is that so? I do not believe I am mistaken. I have been a doctor for over twenty years—I kno
