"I will announce Rafael's death one week from now," Ares' firm voice shattered the silence in the dining room.

Everyone froze, staring at Ares with bated breath, except for one person: Cheryl.

"How dare you?! Don't you dare announce anything other than good news when Rafael returns," Catalina retorted with a sharp gaze.

Catalina's breath raced as she stared at Ares with a palpable gaze. "We just need to wait a little longer. There will be good news. Haven't the search team found—"
