Chapter 21

"Charylle, please, I need you."

His voice was hoarse and sultry, obviously drunk as he talked to me from the other line. I didn't answer, it's not like I know what to say.

Hunter might have noticed my disoriented face so he reached for the phone in my hand and stared at the caller. He raised it to his ear but even before he could say anything to his twin, he stopped and listened to Hugo.

His face turned grim and dark. I couldn't hear what they were talking but I know it's something serious by the look Hunter was giving.

His jaw clenched, I wanted to ask him about Hugo but the way his eyes pierced through the wall stopped me. After a couple of minutes, Hunter dropped the call, he threw the phone over the wall with so much force that it made me jolt.
