After I left, Theodore stabbed Rosalie with one of the paring knives on the coffee table. Finally, ambulance sirens were heard in the residential area, and Theodore was reportedly seen with a bloody knife in his hand, crying for help in despair.

However, none of this was no longer my business. I had a new life. I had successfully changed the course of events in this life, and I was currently soaking in a hotel bathtub.

I did not expect Theodore to show up a month later.

When I opened the door, he fell to his knees in front of me. "Celeste, I was wrong. Will you forgive me? I don't want a divorce. I want to spend my life with you."

I frowned. "Theodore, the world doesn't work the way you want it to."

He answered, "No... I know I was wrong. I know you still like me."

The once high and mighty man knelt humbly in front of me, but it only made me sick.

"Hold on, Mr. Lambert. There's no cure for regret. You killed your future children with your own hands. It serves you right."
