  (Violetta POV)

I opened my eyes and looked at the room, which seemed unfamiliar. I rubbed my eyes and tried to remember where I crashed last night. All the events of last night came in front of my eyes, and I clutched my aching head to suppress the pain of a hangover.

“F*ck, f*ck, f*ck! I am so dead,” I want to kill myself for spending a night with a hired model, but now what is done is done, so there is nothing I can do right now except face the consequences of my actions.

“Violetta! You are dead meat now,” I mumbled under my breath when I heard the sound of the shower.

“F*ck! He is still present in the shower,” I quickly put on my dress and stood up from the bed when the door of the bathroom opened. A breathtakingly handsome man emerged with just a tight towel tied around his waist. My eyes shamelessly traced every dip and line of his pecs and abs. Even a drop rolled towards his V-line, I gulped hard to stop the urge of l*cking that drop.

“I hope my patron is enjoying the view,” I noticed his smirk and quickly turned my face away.

“I-i don’t know what you're talking about,” My face turning red with embarrassment.

“You look cute while blushing,” He commented, and I narrowed my eyes at him.

“I hope you were satisfied with my performance last night,” He asked, and I felt like I would die with embarrassment here.

“Y-yeah! It was okay-ish. I-i have to go now,” I tried to run away when he gripped my wrist and pulled me towards his sturdy body.

“W-what are you doing?” I asked in a dumfounded tone.

“This,” He said, and slowly zipped up my dress, which I forgot in my haste.

“Th-thanks,” I said, and tried to free myself from his arms, but he wasn’t ready to let go of me.

“I-i have already put your money on the side table. Let me go now,” I asked, but my voice was on the verge of panic. He took a deep breath like he wanted to fill his lungs with my scent. A shudder of lust and want ran down my spine, but I controlled myself and quickly ran away from that room. I heard his deep laughter, but I don’t care about that handsome distraction anymore.

“Where were you last night, Violet?” My father’s stern voice stopped me from heading towards my room.

“Why?” I turned to face his red, angry face.

“You br@t! You have the nerve to show this useless attitude in front of me. I think you forgot that Claudia is our goddaughter.” After hearing his words.

“But you abandoned her when she left Alpha Liam three years ago and now… You suddenly forgot everything just because she is back with Alpha Liam. But you forgot one tiny detail that she is back with Alpha Liam after ruining your daughter’s relationship with Alpha Liam. And, he was my fated mate,” I tried to state the facts, but his expressions didn’t change even for a second.

“I don’t care about all this. Since he rejected you for obvious reasons, I think you should accept their relationship without any fuss.” My heart bled at his heartlessness.

“Your father is right. You are mature now, and you shouldn’t behave like a child over your godsister’s happiness.” My mother stepped towards me, and I felt like someone had slapped me hard in front of a crowd.

“Oh really, Mom! You should check if Claudia is your real daughter instead of me,” She clenched her fists in anger.

“Violet! I don’t want to hear a single bad thing about Claudia. She made a mistake in the past, and now she is back, so we should forgive her for this misstep.” I gritted my teeth to stop myself from saying anything harsh.

“They will hold a Luna ceremony next month, and you have to attend this ceremony with us,” My father finally came to the point.

“No! And no one can force me to congratulate that home-wrecker sl*t for ruining my relationship and snatching my fated mate from me,” I answered in a determined tone, and my father became displeased after hearing my answer.

“Violetta! We didn’t raise you to be a brat,” My mother chided in disappointment.

“You are right. You raised me to be a perfect puppet and slave, but I managed to turn to be a brat on my own.” I answered before heading upstairs and locking my door behind me. All the angry tears that I held back in front of my parents welled up in my eyes.

“Why can’t they support me like other parents? Moon Goddess, I did every single thing to make them happy and proud, but every single time, they put the bar a bit high. Am I really cursed?” I asked the Moon Goddess, and my heart bled because every single person made me feel unloved and cursed… Like I was nothing for them from the start.

“Please end this pain… Please!!! I can’t live like this anymore. All the memories of the night and this morning faded, and pain surrounded me again as usual.

“Why didn’t you join us at the Lunch or dinner table yesterday?” My father asked when I came to the breakfast table with swollen red eyes, but they ignored it.

“I wasn’t hungry,” I answered in a clipped tone. He took a deep breath like he was gathering courage for something.

“Okay! We have made a decision for you. I hope it will help you to overcome this pain and betrayal.” My father’s word made me stop, and I almost dropped the pancakes on the table. My head whipped towards my mother and father like he told me something in a foreign language. Maybe it would be normal if it came from normal parents, but from my parents, who spent their lives running behind wealth and status, it was surely nothing normal.

“And what is it?”

“We chose a groom for you. An alpha from the north, who is willing to accept you as his luna even if you are b… Barren,” I blinked my eyes a few times to digest their words.

“Okay,”

“Aren’t you happy?” My mother asked in an excited tone.

“What’s the age of the Alpha and what’s the name of his pack?” I asked in a serious tone. My mother’s smile dropped.

“What does this mean? Do you think we will select someone incapable for you?” My father’s tone didn’t surprise me. When I didn’t answer, he clenched his fists in anger.

“Shadow sand pack and his name is Alpha Warren Black,” He answered, and I quickly typed his name in my phone.

“I will think about this proposal and then give you my answer,”

“Nope! We like this proposal for you, and he is serious about you,” My mother quickly answered, but the information G****e gave me was really impressive.

“Wow! An Alpha with 20+ years of experience in the werewolf council and owns two companies,” I answered, and a proud smile crept on their faces.

“In his 56 years, he got married six times, and every single bride died in the first year of her marriage. Multiple cases of s*xual assault on min0rs and embezzlement… Hole Goddess! From where did you get this perfect match for me, Mother?” I asked in a serious tone, and their faces almost looked pale after hearing information like they expected me to say ‘Yes’ to their proposal without even doing a general G****e search. Am I really that dumb in their eyes?

“All of them are false. All the people are after their wealth, so they love to do this type of sh*t. I am telling you… No one will accept a childless luna, so you have to lower your standards,” My father advised me in a serious tone.

“And you think I am this desperate for marriage that I will marry a 56-year-old man to compensate for my childless state, which has nothing to do with me?” I asked them, but they didn’t answer me.

“I am f*cking tired of these types of conversations. If you guys can’t act like proper parents, then please don’t even try… I will find someone for myself… on my own. You guys don’t have to worry about all this.” My blood boiled after looking at their perfect proposal. I pushed my phone aside and looked at their emotionless faces.

“We have raised you for 21 years, so we are worried about your life. If you fail to find a man by the end of this month, then we will accept this man’s proposal for you. This is final,” My father announced in a stern tone.

“Don’t worry, Violetta. He is also willing to give us 10 million dollars in dowry,” My mother added to encourage me, and I looked at her face with teary eyes.

“You guys want to sell me out to a s*xual predator?” I asked, and her smile fell.

“No, Violet! We are just trying to find a suitable partner for you, and we are doing nothing wrong at all… After all, we have raised you for so many years,” My mother tried to defend her stance, but I didn’t have the power to hear any more of this sh*t, so I stormed out of my house before I started feeling suffocation.

  • After Betrayal, I Married The Cursed Alpha King   Chapter 123: Trouble In Paradise

The change did not arrive like thunder. It arrived quietly.Almost politely.Draven had gone into the city for a routine inspection of one of the older properties—warehouses that once belonged to his father’s era. It was supposed to be a brief visit. In and out. No complications. But fate rarely asked for permission. He saw her near the entrance of a small café across the street.Victoria.For a second, he thought his mind was playing tricks on him. Years had passed. Faces changed. Time carved its marks. But her eyes—They were the same.Wide. Expressive. Carrying that old softness he remembered from a time before blood and crowns.“Draven?” she breathed. His name sounded different on her lips.Younger.Uncomplicated.He hadn’t heard it spoken like that in a very long time. They sat down inside the café. It wasn’t intentional. It just… happened. Words stumbled out of her in fragments. Her parents had passed away. Her fiancé had left her.The small business she tried to build collapsed

Morning did not arrive gently in the King estate. It arrived crying. Violetta’s eyes fluttered open before the sun had fully risen. For a brief, fragile second, she forgot where she was. Then she heard it. Kael. Loud. Demanding. Furious at the injustice of being hungry. Elara joined a moment later—softer, but no less determined. Violetta pushed herself up, hair falling loosely over her shoulders. The silk night robe she wore was already wrinkled from the three times she had woken during the night. Motherhood did not care about crowns. It did not pause for power. It simply required. She lifted Kael first. He was red-faced, fists clenched, protesting the world as if it personally offended him. “I know, I know,” she murmured softly, pressing a kiss to his tiny forehead. “You think I forgot you.” Elara’s cry sharpened, indignant at being second. Aunt Mara entered quietly with warm milk already prepared. “Give me the princess,” Mara said gently. Violetta passed Elara over wi

One month later, the estate did not look like a fortress. It looked like a kingdom. Silver lanterns lined the marble pathways. White roses cascaded down carved pillars. The full moon hung high and round above the mountain skyline, bathing everything in soft, sacred light. Inside her chamber, Violetta stood before the mirror. White silk flowed from her shoulders to the floor, hugging her waist before cascading into delicate layers. The gown shimmered faintly when she moved—stitched with silver thread that caught the moonlight like scattered stars. A slender silver tiara rested on her head. Simple. Temporary. Her reflection stared back at her—not the abandoned girl from years ago. Not the insecure fiancée who questioned her worth. But a woman who had survived humiliation, betrayal, war, birth, blood, and fire. Her hand brushed lightly over her collarbone. A knock came at the door. “It’s time,” Adriana whispered gently before stepping aside. Violetta inhaled slowly. When sh

The celebration was still glowing when Liam arrived. Not loudly. Not dramatically. Just… present. He walked in with a carefully wrapped silver box in his hands, dressed impeccably, expression composed—but his eyes betrayed him. Claudia clung to his arm, smiling too brightly, too stiffly. But he wasn’t looking at her. He was looking at Violetta. At the woman standing beside Draven, her newborn daughter in her arms, her son resting against Draven’s chest. Her glow wasn’t makeup. It wasn’t power. It was fulfillment. And that realization hit Liam harder than any public defeat. For a moment, he saw it— A different version of tonight. Him standing beside her. Her children carrying his bloodline. Her smile belonging to him. But he had been the one to push her away. He had looked at medical reports and chosen ego over patience. He had believed Claudia’s whispers. He had decided Violetta was “broken.” Infertile. A disappointment. And now— She w

The silence before the first cry nearly broke him. Draven stood at her side in the operating room, gloved hands trembling despite every effort to appear steady. Machines beeped. Doctors moved with precision. Bright white light reflected off stainless steel. And then— A cry. Sharp. Strong. Alive. His breath left him in a shudder. Another cry followed seconds later. Smaller. Fiercer. Twins. The doctor smiled behind her mask. “Congratulations, Mr. King. You have a son… and a daughter.” For a moment, Draven couldn’t move. He just stared. Two tiny bodies. Fragile. Perfect. Furious at the world for bringing them into it. He had faced enemies without flinching. But this— This undid him. He stepped closer when they placed the first baby into his arms. His son. Small fingers curled instinctively around his gloved thumb. Draven’s throat closed. “Easy,” he whispered hoarsely. “I’ve got you.” They placed his daughter in his other arm. She was quieter—but her eyes opened imme

The boardroom was filled with numbers.Charts flickered across the screen. Investors leaned forward, listening carefully as Violetta outlined the restructuring strategy with calm precision. She stood at the head of the table, one hand resting lightly on the edge of the polished wood, the other moving gracefully as she spoke.Draven watched her more than the presentation. Not because he doubted her.Because he admired her.She looked powerful.Unshakeable.And then—She faltered.Just slightly. Her sentence cut off mid-word.Her fingers tightened against the table.Draven noticed before anyone else did.Her breathing changed. Her free hand moved instinctively to her abdomen.“Violet?” he said quietly. She tried to smile.“I’m fine,” she whispered. But she wasn’t.A sharp wave of pain hit her, forcing a soft gasp from her lips. The color drained from her face in seconds. The room froze.Draven was at her side instantly, chair scraping loudly against the floor.“What is it?” His voice wa
