ALMA'S POV

For the rest of the week and ones after that, I didn't encounter anymore 'family' concerns over my decisions. Or anyone standing in my face.

Everything went smooth. Without a hinge, production taking off like there was never a problem in the first place, multiple orders coming in.

Success. I could smell it in the air whenever I stepped into my office, whenever I thought of the Heritage Collection.

It was a success. Would be a success, a big one. Permanently shutting up any wagging

ALMA'S POV "Are you nervous?""No.""Almie,""Okay maybe a little." I chuckled lightly, admitting the stir underneath my skin. My nerves. It was the D day today. The Annual Quinn Auction, and so far everything could be said to be going smooth. My dress, check. Purse, check. Heels, hair, check. Me arriving at the venue and looking out at the environment & building? Check, check, check. Now it was time to go in. To approach the doors of the glorious edifice that was the building. There was no mistake that this environment was for the rich. Even the air felt different, but really, was I the poor?I was doing okay for a 27 year old who just landed a big break in her career."You're not small at all. You're not out of place, you're meant to be there!" Rosie's words from dress up echoed in my system. Diluting some of the nerves. And still she spoke through the earbuds connected to my phone, "Go in. Go enjoy the evening and please take pictures. Take pictures Alma Halter, takkke pictures."

Permanently shutting up any wagging tongue. But for the meantime, I still had more to be excited about. More to squeal my head off with Rosie in her apartment as we tore into bags of chips."What? He invited you??" She shot out, mouth agape."Not just that." I said, grinning. "I even got an executive notification from Ashford on how my presence will be much appreciated at the very same event. The Annual Auction.""Quinn Annual Auction??" Rosie rose slowly, eyes wide. "Girl. Girl!" She squealed, loud. Grabbing yet another glass, wi

ISABELLA'S POV 53.53 days, that's how long it's been. How long it's been since she left. Alma.My life's been better, good no doubt but... Would it be okay if I said it wasn't perfect?Pitch perfect, the way I wanted it?I had so much planned. So much set up to do but it all seemed not to moving as fast as I thought. And it all boiled down to one problem; We weren't spending enough time together.Me and Dame.We weren't meeting up enough and that was a problem. We used to be so close, so entangled, I didn't remember him having so much work that he barely came home.He always came home. To me. To his house. We stayed together. Lived together. But these days I haven't even had the chance to bring it up, talk more of moving in with him. It was like he slept at his office.I'd wanted to go there a couple of times but If he truly was busy then he wouldn't be chanced to be with me either. It would be much better if he came home to me. Came home and found me waiting. Always. And so far

ALMA'S POV If I wasn't sure about Valtier Gem International, I was most definitely sure now. After getting back to the office and receiving a query, receiving the confirmation email from the Valtier Gem International representative that everything had been confirmed from their end and contract awaiting to be signed. Everything so quickly done and nice.I made a good decision.A hard to come by decision, and I wouldn't let anyone make me feel otherwise about that. Not even he was CEO or my boss."We really have to thank this friend of yours, Ma'am!""Yeah. We had to." I agreed with Gwen, thinking fondly to my morning. My breakfast.I had to do something for him. Even if he'd already said I owed him, I kind of felt like I should get something for him for the meantime.I was still on that thought when a package came in for me during the afternoon lunchtime.A lunch. From him, Gabriel."Can't have you looking stressed again, My Goddess." His little note read.Making me smile and roll my

Damien's POV "Madam has secured a new supplier!"I paused, "She what?""She has secured a new supplier for the Heritage Collection. I heard her staff talking about it just now." Tony explained enthusiastically. One would think he was on their team not from my office."Weren't those same staff dejectedly strolling the halls few minutes ago? She hasn't even come in yet, had she? She hasn't reported in for the day.""Madam hasn't sir.""So how come the new supplier then?" I questioned, "Did she do it while in her sleep? It's barely 8am in the morning."I'd met her yesterday. Went down to meet her, talk to her, talk sense and reason into her but she?She only took all that with hostility. Glaring up and daring to exchange words with me.Something she'd never done before. The divorce issues and talks between us, aside. She was never one for strong-headedness. She always saw reason.Th
