On the luxury yacht,

Alan welcomed Alexander as soon as he arrived. Christopher and Regard were already there.

Christopher, who felt that he had made a mistake, immediately apologized even though he did not know what exactly he had done wrong to Alexander.

“I'm really sorry, Alexander, for asking for that woman who claimed to be your gardener the other day. After Alan told me, I found out that she is the wife you were forced to marry.”

“I didn’t know, so I apologize…”

Christopher apologized first, and Alexander immediately shook his head.

“It’s fine. Besides, I don’t even understand why I was so furious. She has no value to me at all!”

Alexander replied curtly, and their relationship improved again. They had always been together. The four of them drank on Alan’s yacht and shared their complaints about business.

“So what’s your plan regarding this marriage of yours?”

“She’s a very beautiful woman. I don’t understand why you hate her.”

Regard started talking about Alexander’s marriage again when they were already drunk together.

“Hmmm?”

Alexander let out a heavy sigh. Then he looked toward the clear sea. He closed his eyes, and in his imagination he saw Elena’s blue eyes filled with tears.

He also remembered how soft her skin was and how it would redden when he touched it.

“What am I going to do? She’s so annoying, easily cries, and so weak.”

“I don’t like her… I don’t want to marry her. The only one I ever wanted to marry is Victoria!”

Alexander whispered with his eyes closed. The only one in his heart was Victoria, and his feelings would never change.

When his three friends heard Victoria’s name, they fell silent, and Alan immediately stood up.

“That’s enough you guys, I think we should go home. We’re all drunk.”

“We still have a lot of work to do tomorrow.”

Alan said, and Christopher immediately stood up as well.

“Yes, we should go home. My father will kill me after this.”

Christopher said. He still had to live in his father’s mansion under his father’s orders. Everyone laughed at his words. Among the four of them, only Christopher was truly afraid of his father.

“Ha ha ha!”

Alexander also laughed. The four of them were assisted by their guards to dock and return home.

The conversation about Victoria ended just like that. Something about Alexander was strange, but he only remembered Victoria when he was drunk like this, and all of his friends would always divert the conversation whenever he talked about Victoria.

On the other side,

While Alexander was on his way back to his residence, Elena had just finished working. She was exhausted. She let out heavy sighs repeatedly and began to worry about her baby.

“You’re alright, aren’t you, my love? I hope you’re fine. Mommy will talk to your dad tomorrow so the workload can be reduced a little.”

Elena murmured as she walked back to the place where she lived now. Her hands were covered in bandages because some of the laundry had to be washed by hand. Elena was quite allergic to certain types of detergent, and this time she had no choice but to use what was available, causing her hands to bleed and become badly injured.

After Elena arrived at her place and was about to fall asleep because she was too exhausted, Alexander had just arrived home drunk.

The night felt very short.

Elena could not get up because her stomach hurt so much. Her body ached, her face was pale, and she felt extremely hot.

She had a fever because she had worked too hard earlier.

“Ah, my head hurts so much. My stomach too.”

“I have to get up and go to the hospital.”

Elena knew that no one would care about her. She had to struggle to get up from the bed and walk to the main road to go to the hospital.

With great effort, even though it hurt so much, she staggered out of her place.

As she walked, everything felt like it was floating. She held her stomach because she was afraid something had happened to her baby.

“It’s okay. The baby is fine.”

“Everything is fine.”

Elena whispered as she walked very slowly. She was terrified, yet even while sick, she only thought about her baby.

At the same time, Alexander was already neatly dressed and about to go to the office. Although he was still slightly dizzy from drinking too much the night before, it did not stop him from working.

As he was about to get into the car, from a distance he saw Elena walking very slowly with her head lowered, holding her stomach.

At first, Alexander did not care much.

But after he got into the car, he closed his eyes and then stepped out of the car very quickly.

“What’s wrong with her again? So troublesome!”

“Call her here!”

Alexander ordered the mansion guard in the lobby to call Elena, who was quite far from him.

“Yes, Sir,” one of them replied and quickly walked toward Elena.

“Miss, Sir is calling you. Please come immediately.”

When Elena heard someone’s voice, she immediately lifted her face and looked very relieved.

“Thank goodness someone is here…”

“Sir, please take me to the hospital.”

“My stomach hurts. I don’t want anything bad to happen to my baby…”

“Please, Sir, please help me…”

Elena whispered as she grabbed the man’s arm so she would not collapse to the ground.

“M-Miss?”

“Are you alright?”

“Miss?”

The mansion guard panicked when he realized that Elena had fainted, and her body temperature was very high.

From a distance, Alexander’s eyes became extremely sharp. He clenched his fist and gritted his teeth when he saw Elena so easily touching another man and leaning against him.

“WHAT IS THAT WOMAN DOING?!”

Alexander growled and was about to approach Elena, but he immediately stopped when he saw the guard running while carrying Elena in his arms.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING? CARRYING HER IN FRONT OF ME?”

“DO YOU WANT TO DIE?”

Alexander’s roar startled several servants nearby, and they immediately lowered their heads in fear.

“Forgive me, Sir, but Miss suddenly asked for help and fainted.”

“So...”

Before the guard could finish speaking, Alexander roughly took Elena and carried her in his arms.

“Call the doctor here right now!”

Alexander ordered Dorothy, who was also there.

“So troublesome! When will this woman stop troubling me… Why didn’t she come here to ask for help!”

“Stubborn. Irritating!”

Alexander muttered as he carried Elena to the guest room on the ground floor.

There, Elena was laid down. He looked at her beautiful yet pale face. He observed every part of her body and found many bandages on her fingers.

His brows furrowed, and his eyes became sharp.

“What exactly have you been doing, outsider? How did you get so many injuries in just one night!”

Alexander muttered again, his breathing becoming heavy. He would investigate all of this, even if it was not important to him.

But only after Elena received treatment from his personal doctor.
