Chapter 352

Author: Aurora Wells
Her voice lost all of its usual grace and composure. “Where are his things?! Where did they go?!”

She glared at the butler, eyes blazing. “When did he have them moved?!”

“The sofa? The paintings? The clock? … The bed?!”

The room echoed with her furious voice, stark and loud against the empty walls.

The butler paled. “I… I had a cold and took a couple days off. I truly didn’t know, Madam. I’m so sorry. I’ll look into it right away.”

Marsha’s face turned stormy. “What’s there to investigate?! He had everything moved out! He’s not living here anymore! My own son moved out just to avoid me!”

She paced across the empty room, trembling with rage.

The butler stared at the hollow space, despair creeping into his face.

He had only taken a short leave.

Yet in just that time, Miles had not only moved out—he’d cleared the entire room.

There wasn't even a single note, or a piece of paper remained.

The silence he left behind was deliberate and deeply cutting.

Marsha’s voice shook. “Call… call Rona

I gave a sheepish smile. “It’s not that... I just think it all feels a bit too showy.”Miles smiled faintly. “And why shouldn’t it be? Don’t you think you’re worth showing off?”With words that sweet, I suddenly couldn’t find a reason to argue.“Come on, since you don’t like all the fanfare, let’s grab lunch and check out that seaside villa. I think it’s got potential. If you like it, we can pop by once in a while after it’s furnished.”I agreed happily and rushed off to wash my face and do my makeup. An hour later, we were standing in front of the villa.I was stunned to see workers planting flowers all over the garden.“Wait... are those climbing roses?” I asked, pointing to the seedlings.Miles nodded with a soft smile. “You like them, so I had more brought in.”Excited, I said, “It’s going to be beautiful in summer—flowers blooming everywhere, maybe even an archway covered in roses.”I looked around the vast garden, feeling totally satisfied. Workers were still laying down fresh s

"You!" My brother was fuming. "It’s just one small favor. Why won’t you help your brother?"I replied, "I will, but I don’t even know why you’re buying jewelry. You’ve never bought anything like this before. Tell me, are you giving it to your girlfriend?"Wait, no, you don’t even have a girlfriend! Did you fall for someone behind Sharon’s back?"I fired off question after question. My brother was the textbook definition of a no-nonsense guy—practical to the core, like he was made of bricks and bolts. Growing up, the only time he ever bought anything remotely feminine was when it was a gift for me. He never did it for any other woman.Something was definitely up. He was speechless on the other end of the line. After a while, he said helplessly, "Be good and help your brother get this jewelry. I need it."I guessed, "Is it for Sharon? If not, I’m not helping you bid."There was a long silence before he reluctantly admitted, "Yes, it’s for her."I was both surprised and thrilled. "You’

My mind had turned to mush.I didn’t even realize I was moving in rhythm with his touch.“Mm…”I barely registered that the sound had come from me. The moment I did, my whole body flushed hot.Miles was still making his way across every inch of me, while I had completely melted into a flushed mess.I curled up slightly, heart racing out of control.Truth be told, I had imagined this moment before, but when it was actually happening, I couldn’t help feeling shy. I couldn’t let go.Not here, in the study, in this tiny room… it just didn’t feel right. But Miles was patient, gently coaxing my body open beneath his touch, his kisses trailing behind every soft movement. From my lowered gaze, all I could see were my disheveled clothes and the sharp lines of his chiseled nose, his long brows tapering gracefully into his temples—features so finely drawn they could’ve made any woman’s heart skip a beat.“Miles…”His name slipped from my lips in the faintest whisper, barely loud enough for anyo

The voice on the other end waited for a response that didn’t come.Eventually, he spoke again, colder than before. “Think it over. That’s all.”Marsha suddenly called out, “Wait!”“What.”She hesitated for a long moment before finally asking, “Are you certain about the one billion?”His tone turned sharp, clipped with impatience. “Have your butler check if you don’t believe me. I don’t owe you an explanation for something so trivial. Anything else?”Marsha let out a scoff. “When are you coming back?”“That’s none of your business. I’ll let you know if and when I return.”With that, the call ended. She stared at the darkened screen, a flicker of rage flashing through her eyes. The butler stood by cautiously. “Madam, any further instructions?”Marsha gazed thoughtfully at the faded garden wall, then said, “Have someone order another batch of roses tomorrow. Imported, the good kind. Replant everything.”The butler nodded. “Yes, ma’am.”“Wait,” she said sharply. “Also send some rose saplin

Marsha took a delicate sip of her wine, maintaining her usual poise. "He’s currently working on a project worth over hundred million with a firm in the capital. He probably won’t be joining us for dinner tonight."After saying that, she turned to reassure Linda. "Don’t worry. Once he wraps up this project, I’ll have him take you on a trip abroad. You mentioned liking skiing, didn’t you? Let him take you to Swissland."Linda smiled politely. "That sounds wonderful... but maybe not. By then I’ll likely be back in school."Marsha asked casually, "Which school?"Linda answered, "Highridge University. I’m applying to the philosophy program. It’s quite well regarded. I’m planning to do a two-year postgraduate course."Marsha glanced at the hopeful shine in the girl’s eyes, and for once, she swallowed back the phrase, "There’s no point in a girl studying so much."Instead, she smiled, rising to her feet. "You take your time eating, dear. I need to make a quick call."With that, she graceful
