What would happen to Grandpa after I left this world?

I had to make sure he would be taken care of.

So, I immediately went back to the house to get my money.

When Yuna and I lived together, all my belongings had been kept at her place.

The moment I arrived, I saw the housekeeper carrying my things outside.

When she saw me, she hurriedly said, “Sir, Madam told me to throw your things away. She said... you would not be coming back to live here.”

I looked at my belongings. Everything had been smashed.

Even the plaster figurines Yuna and I made together.

I had not expected her to be so heartless.

But my money was still in her bank account. I had to get it back.

I tried to open the door, only for it to tell me that the passcode was incorrect.

The housekeeper said awkwardly, “Madam also told me to change the passcode.”

Something seemed to stab into my heart, but I forced myself to steady my breathing.

“Then what is the new passcode?”

The housekeeper looked too afraid to answer, so I added, “My things are still inside. I need to go in and get them.”

August 12, 2018 was the day Yuna and Joshua had gotten together.

I took two steps back and found it laughable.

Just yesterday, she held me as we slept and told me she loved me.

This morning, she lured me onto an empty road, telling me she had a surprise for me.

She even blindfolded me after I got out of the car.

I had waited for her surprise with my heart full of anticipation, only for a car to send me flying.

Yuna, you wanted me dead so badly because you wanted to take my place as the System’s chosen one.

I pushed the door open and walked in. Joshua had Yuna pinned against the kitchen island, his face full of adoration.

Yuna said, “Joshua, from now on, I’ll love you the way you deserve.”

My bag slipped from my hand and hit the floor.

Although I had already decided to let her go, seeing her with someone else like that still broke my heart.

“What are you doing here?”

Yuna looked at me with displeasure.

“You’re not welcome here.”

Her cold expression suddenly reminded me of three years ago, when I had defied the System for her.

The System punished me with the agony of having my bones broken.

The pain had been so unbearable that I wanted to die, but I had endured it all for her.

I thought I would spend the rest of my life with her in this mission world.

“I came to get my money. All the money I’ve earned over the years is with you. I need it to pay for my grandfather’s treatment.”

Yuna did not stop when she heard me.

Instead, she acted as though she had not heard a word and continued fooling around with Joshua.

The sight made me sick, but I forced myself to endure it.

I would be leaving soon enough anyway.

“Then I’ll get it myself.”

Just as I was about to head into the bedroom, Joshua called out, “Finn, isn’t your grandfather better already? Why do you still need the money?

“You’re not planning to take it back to your original world, are you?”

The moment he said that, Yuna’s cold gaze swept over me.

“Are you really that obsessed with money?

“Let me make this clear: even if you earned it, I’m not giving it to you. That money belongs to this world. You can’t take it with you!”

I had not expected her to become so shameless.

The Yuna who loved me and treated me well was truly gone.

“Yuna, I told you, it’s for my grandfather. I won’t take a single cent with me.”

“I’m not giving it to you. Get out!”

I clenched my fists, wanting to say something, yet finding nothing I could say.

After all, she would only believe Joshua now.

I turned to leave, but Joshua suddenly came over and grabbed my hand.
