Jess’s POV

“Why did she call Jake her brother?” Jordan asked as we watched the video. She did call Jake her brother, and it didn’t make any sense to me because I know for a fact Jake had just Jim and Brandon, who died, as siblings.

Fiona’s voice made my stomach churn as I watched the next part of the video, where she and Dione planned on making me sign off my money to them before they killed me. Tears welled up in my eyes, but Jordan held my hands as we continued.

The next thing we heard made everything stand still as Jordan handed me the phone and stood to his feet. “She killed my mum and blamed it on an overdose? And she planned to do the same to you too?”

“Fiona fucking killed my mum!” He repeated it over and over as he ran his hands through his hair and walked away.

“Jordan,” I tried calling, but he ignored me and made his way upstairs.

“That woman is a witch,” John spat as he turned off the video. “I’ll hand this over to Officer Baxter.”
