SIENNA'S POV:

The sharp clack of Sienna’s heels echoed across the tiled floor of her penthouse, each step growing heavier, sharper and angrier.

Her phone was still pressed to her ear, but the annoying voice on the other end repeated the same infuriating line since like forever:

‘The number you are trying to reach is currently unavailable—’

“Unavailable, my ass!” she snapped, hurling the phone onto the white couch. “He’s avoiding me because of her!”

It was Bryce she was calling. Again.

She’d been calling his line for almost two days straight, but it was always the same. Either it rang endlessly, or that robotic voice mocked her with its mechanical calm.

He hadn’t spoken to her since that dinner date with him. The same one he ended halfway through, walking out before they could even get started fully, before she could even carry out her plan.

She hated him for that.
