Chapter 17 Her Defiance

After dealing with some work at the office, Kiera decided to visit the club for a drink. Kiera entered the club, and made her way to one of the booths, hoping to have time alone when she saw the booth she was to occupy was a double booth and the other occupant was none other than Nicholas.

“You have got to be kidding me,” she muttered under her breath as she stared at the smirk on his face when he caught sight of her.

“Hey, Kiera. Are you stalking me now?” Nicholas mused.

Kiera scoffed. She had been shocked by his presence but his usual remark further irked her but this… there had to be an explanation and she wanted it.

“What do you mean by all this, Nicholas?”

“What do you mean by that?”

Kiera's mind buzzed with confusion and frustration as she confronted Nicholas in the occupied booth.

Placing a hand on her waist, her eyes darkened as she questioned once more. “Is disrupting the Campbell not enough? Now you even wish to become a pest in my life.”
