Chapter 10: Who Is Really Blind

Lowering her gaze, she felt a faint sneer in her heart.

He had ultimately broken his promise to her, and gotten entangled with Dorothy Bacon.

When she raised her eyes again, Sheila Oscar's expression was resolute. "Dad, Mom, Grandpa, Grandma, the truth is that Daniel has always... been unable to, but these years you've been so anxious for us to have a child, I didn't dare tell you, afraid of making you worry."

"Sheila Oscar! Come with me!"

In an instant, Daniel Faulkner's eyes were filled with a storm, carrying the gloom of an impending tempest.

He strode over in three quick steps, grabbing Sheila Oscar's wrist and pulling her up from the sofa with a slight force.

As he dragged her away, she didn't forget to turn back and give the four elders an apologetic look.

"Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, Mom, men with physical defects tend to have bad tempers. Please forgive him."

The four elders of the Faulkner family exchanged glances, at a loss for words.

Sheila Oscar smiled at them, but when she turned to see Daniel Faulkner's cold back, her smile vanished.

Once they were in the room, he pinned her against the wall, gripping her jaw with such force that it almost felt like he would crush her jawbone.

"Sheila Oscar, when did you learn to be so two-faced?" Daniel Faulkner's expression was as dark as ink, his eyes fierce.

He had even agreed to leave with nothing. What more could she possibly want?!

Moreover, hadn't she wanted to leave long ago?

Her face was contorted by his grip, but her expression remained unchanged. She retorted, "And what about you? When did you start getting involved with Dorothy Bacon?"

"That's none of your business!" Daniel Faulkner said coldly.

With a sharp slap, Sheila Oscar slapped his hand away, her own tone turning icy. "Then whether I'm being two-faced or not is also none of your business!"

She gently rubbed her aching cheek, feeling a bit annoyed.

It was truly frustrating.

What should have been a straightforward divorce had been delayed because of her father's interference!

In the past, she had genuinely loved Daniel Faulkner, but now, thinking about him being intimate with another woman, the only word that came to mind was—disgusting!

"I don't know how this happened, but I'll cooperate with you until we clear your name," she said after a moment, softening her tone slightly. Her eyes, however, remained distant. "After all, I don't want to live under the same roof with you either."

"You'll cooperate with me?" Daniel Faulkner scoffed, as if hearing a joke. "Wasn't it you who released that statement to smear my name?"

That photo, if he remembered correctly, was taken when she had taken him to the hospital for a stomachache.

It was about two years ago, and they were the only ones there. Who else could have dug up such an old photo to use as evidence against him?

"Is that your guess, or something Dorothy Bacon suggested to you?" Sheila Oscar asked, her eyes piercing.

Daniel Faulkner frowned, not understanding what she was getting at.

Sheila Oscar shrugged. "Nothing much, I just want to know who's blind here!"

"That photo was clearly taken from a third-person perspective! Daniel Faulkner, use your brain! We had a secret marriage! A secret marriage! At this point, do you think I would publicly announce that I'm about to become a discarded wife of a wealthy family? Let everyone talk about how I couldn't even see that my husband was impotent and still got dumped?!"

"At this point, I'd rather no one knew I was ever associated with you, Daniel Faulkner! And now that you're leaving with nothing, why would I want to stay in the Faulkner family? For your age? For your infidelity? For keeping a mistress? Or for giving me a divorce agreement on our wedding anniversary? Money is better, isn't it? How stupid would I have to be to give up 30 billion in assets and cling to you like a fool, watching you get cozy with other women?!"
