Chapter 9: Rousing the Chief Doctor from the Dead

Mr. Oscar sneered coldly, "This is exactly what makes it exciting! If you're going to do something, do it with force... Darling, look, Daniel Faulkner has now become the gossip of the whole country!"

"Isn't this revenge sweet? A man's dignity being shattered; no matter how much of a diamond king he was, no one will respect him anymore. Instead, he'll just be a laughingstock!"

His words were not out of regret for going too far, but rather a wish that it could have been even more sensational.

Sheila Oscar smiled, "I'm hanging up."

Clearly, the person on the other end had yet to realize the severity of the situation.

As expected, right after Sheila Oscar angrily hung up on her father, Senior Mrs. Faulkner called, her tone extremely cautious, "Sheila, when did Daniel start having these issues?"

In truth, she didn't know if Daniel Faulkner was capable or not.

After all, in the past three years, their relationship had been completely platonic.

Her words were filled with concern for the Faulkner family's lineage.

Sheila Oscar felt overwhelmed, responding with a few mumbled agreements before hanging up and lying down on the bed, feeling utterly drained.

Concerning a man's dignity, her father using such a matter to smear Daniel Faulkner was indeed an indirect way to delay the divorce process.

Cooperate with treatment?

Sheila Oscar pressed her temples, thinking it would be better to die!

It truly is not the god-like opponents that are scary, but the pig-like teammates!

Her father had really put her in a tough spot!

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. She called her father and gave him a round of subtle scolding.

But before she could, her father asked, "Darling, why did you release a death notice for the Chief Doctor?"

"Are you blackening yourself?"

"Or are you planning to retire?"

The mention of the Chief Doctor sparked an idea in Sheila Oscar's mind.

She smiled, "Yes, I can make the Chief Doctor rise from the dead."

The news of Daniel Faulkner's impotence was clearly too explosive. By four o'clock that day, all the Faulkner had gathered, ready to interrogate Sheila Oscar.

All four pairs of eyes were fixed on Sheila Oscar, as if they could see through her.

Sheila Oscar lowered her head, inwardly sighing at her father's earth-shattering actions.

"Sheila, why didn't you tell us about this important matter earlier?" After a long silence, The Grandma, as the representative, sighed first, "Illnesses need to be treated early."

Sheila Oscar, unfazed, nodded vigorously, "Grandma is right, so I contacted the Chief Doctor again."

At the mention of the "Chief Doctor," the four members of the Faulkner family visibly relaxed.

"If the Chief Doctor is willing to help, then there's nothing to worry about," The Grandma said.

After all, she had once been in a critical condition, receiving three critical condition notices from the hospital, but the Chief Doctor had saved her with his silver needles.

However...

"When did Daniel start having these issues?"

As soon as the question was asked, all four pairs of eyes turned to Sheila Oscar, their gazes intense and intimidating.

Sheila Oscar felt her scalp tingle as she racked her brain for an appropriate time to mention.

Just then, the person in question returned.

Daniel Faulkner was still wearing the same suit he had left in yesterday, but the collar was now wrinkled, and his slightly disheveled bangs showed his hurried return. However, Sheila Oscar's gaze kept darting to his collar, where, as expected, she noticed a small, faint red mark—like lipstick, specifically the shade that Dorothy Bacon wore.
