Aina pov:

" Your oatmeal is gonna get cool if you don't go and consume it quickly." Aunt Ella said. I wiped off the sleep crust from my face and walked toward the dining table.

Sometimes I feel like beating up aunt Ella, I think she is just so overprotective of me, telling me to do this and do that.

 "Thank you, aunt."

I knew I hadn't eaten all the oats that were left for me. I quickly stumbled into the kitchen to throw the remaining oats into the waste bin.

I don't know if I was not hungry. Something in me was just longing for fresh blood. I have never tried that before and I have never had such feelings before.

My name is Aina. People in this wonderful town of Altona always ask me about the meaning of my name. They always say it is such a beautiful name to pronounce.

Anytime I am asked, I normally lie to them saying it means joy giver. I live in a town predominantly occupied by Germanic people, as a Germanic girl with a non-Germanic name, and this thus leads to questioning my identity sometimes.

I don't know much about my origin, or my relatives. I was only told by aunt Ella that my mum left me at the hospital immediately after I was born. Ever since then, aunt Ella's house has been mine.

" I need you to go to the shopping mall to get some stuff for us." My aunt said, interrupting my thoughts.

Wow, I was so excited in my mind. It will be another opportunity to explore our town of Altona. I could not wait to pass through the river Elbe again. Although that is not part of my destination. I just love seeing the gentle flow of the long river. It brings peace to whatever voice that echoes through my mind for weeks now.

"Don't be late." I could hear the voice of my aunt as I took up a little shopping basket and walked out of the house.

" I won't," I said. I am just so happy I will be leaving this environment again.

I bought everything that was written on the list I was given. I was also left with spare money. So I bought some candy for myself.

I walked along the snowy road, nothing was going to stop me from visiting river elbe today. I know aunt Ella must have gone for Saturday's shift by the time I arrive home.

" Hey, can't you see?" I heard a voice echo through the snowy atmosphere. I don't know why he was yelling at me. I knew I obeyed the lead of the traffic light.

" You are a fool and a stupid beautiful girl," the driver continued his insulting remarks at me. I simply ignored him and kept walking. I turned my back and saw the driver keep following me in my direction and throwing insulting remarks at me.

Whatever in me wanted to just tear him apart, but I simply ignored it.

"Stop it, clown." A voice interrupted the driver. I looked to see the person uttering the voice in our little one-sided quarrel.

"Leave the girls alone." The voice once more said as he approached us. It was male, with green eyes, a huge chest, and a muscular body. I guess this one must be a fighter.

His hair was blond, he left his entourage of friends at the other end of the road to intervene in our little quarrel. I watched how this guy exchanged words with the driver.

Lastly, he then said, " if you don't stop following this girl now, my friends and I are going to beat you."

After hearing the vicious threat, I watched as the driver reversed his car and left me with my savior.

" Hello, I am Otto Philips."

He smiled at one side of his face and held out his hand to me as I stared.

Then he retracted his hand. I've been told by Aunt Ella not to converse with strangers. Sure, I am aware that this person just saved my life. I could do nothing except obey my aunt's directions. I can count the number of times I disregarded my aunt's advice.

I simply ignored his greeting and kept walking forward with the medium basket I hung on my shoulder.

" We just saved you from a drunk driver, and this is how you pay us," Otto said. Seeing how his friends laughed at him for being ridiculed by me.

I continued to go further away from them until I could no longer see them when I turned around. Now I feel peace of mind in the environment I found myself in. I took off my shoes and walked to the bank of the river Elbe. I wanted to try something new today.

The River Elbe seems warm today, despite the atmosphere being cool. I swam to the far side of the river and found myself at the back of the Klovensteen forest.

I kept getting signals from something inside of me to visit this woodland. I agree and stroll into the forest and swim in the river.

The forest was quiet and only the sound of the breeze blowing through the tall trees was heard. I heard another sound. I think it was from a human who was held captive. I surveyed the environment with my eyes to see if I could see anything, but there was nothing.

I think there is something in me I haven't discovered. I could hear voices talking but there was no one around. I think the ability was coming from whatever was in me. I don't know what comes over me, I just keep walking deep into the forest.

I approached a tiny brown cottage in the middle of the forest. A large tree stood by the side of the cottage, without fear of whatever was in me. I told myself I would investigate what was in the cottage, who could have left human civilization to live alone in the middle of the forest.

I opened the old wooden door. Cobwebs were all over the ceiling. It seems nobody has been living here for sometime

" Help us pls." A voice sounded from the end of a room in the cottage. I walked further to check what was there.

There in the room, I saw two young girls who were chained.

" Who did this to you?" I asked. I got no reply. The only reply I got was from one of the girls, who pointed to the parlor of the house.

" What is it, what is there?" I asked. I still got no reply. One of the girls twisted her finger. I understand what she meant. She was telling me the key to their chain was in the parlor.

As I walked to the parlor to get the key. Whatever was in me told me to leave that place, I simply brushed off the thought and proceeded to the Parlor. I took the keys and walked back to the room.

I unchained the girls. I was surprised that no one ran or tried to escape. We then walked back to the setting room.

. My eyes are drawn to the sculpture of a guy holding two young children that are mounted on the wall. Then I discovered that their father was the one who chained them.

" Why would a father chain these beautiful girls?" I asked myself.

" We should go with her." One of the girls spoke for the first time. I extended my hand to them but one of the girls refused to come with me. I hate convincing kids. By the way, I am not going to take them to my house.

I planned to take them to the police station, but no one was coming with us. I couldn't afford to leave that girl alone IN that house. I went down on my knees pleading with her to come with me.

I then heard a laugh coming from the girls I had been pleading with for about ten minutes. The second girl to smile. I sensed something was wrong. Whatever was in me began to hear the ground tumble, something was approaching from afar, and to my surprise, the girls were not afraid. My heartbeat.

The moon hung high in the sky, casting an ethereal grow over the forest. The silence was interrupted by low growls. I watched as the old wooden door was torn into pieces by a very big black wolf. Its eyes were orange and long teeth protruded out of his mouth.

My heart beat fast, and to my surprise, the two girls were not afraid. They simply stared at this huge wolf, whatever was in me was afraid too. I retracted my step backwards. The wolf howled at me and was ready to devour my flesh. I simply watch as it moves toward me.

It took its snout and began to move close to me, smelling from my head to the sole of my feet. It still shocked me that the kids never ran.

I prepared myself for the worst. There was no escape route and even though I wanted to escape, my feet would not be fast enough. I mean, for god's sake, how could I outrun such a huge beast?

I simply prepare myself for the worst. I closed my eyes. Preparing my body and soul for the worse. As it opens its wide mouth to chop off my head. I feel a strange sensation in my body and my bones rattle.

My clothes then began tearing, and the hungry werewolves then retreated and joined the kids to watch what was happening.

I don't know what happened to me. I looked at my leg, and behold, I saw it had transformed into a white paw. The thought of escaping from this beast then came back to my mind.

I knew I was afraid, but whatever I had transformed into, I was not afraid. I leap over the wolf and ran out of the cottage through the broken door. My paw slammed the ground at high speed, running between the evergreen trees.

I looked back and saw that I was being chased by the werewolf. The wolf in me forced my paw to stop running and confront this beast that wanted to kill me.

We both ran at high speed toward each other, jumping high in the air and raising our sharp claws while still in the air. We landed back on the floor, only for him to land first. I landed back on his face, wounding it with my sharp paw.

I overpowered this beast. I could see its bow snout as a sign of retreat. For me there was no mercy. He attacked me first. Whatever was in me wanted to teach him a lesson. I use my sharp canine and bite its neck.

Blood bled out like water from a fountain. I backed off. I didn't want the blood to stain my dress. Slowly, the werewolf transforms back into a human.

What have I  done is,, my heartbeat. I had just murdered a human. I never knew it was a real wolf or werewolf. I thought it was an animal.

As if that was not enough, I walked back to the  body and drank the blood. The human blood test is nice.

"You witch! You killed him." I looked back , it was the girls  I met in the cottage. It seems that I have just murdered their father.

" You killed him." One of the girls sobs,

I could sense anger and hatred in their hearts. Once more, I quickly transformed into a wolf and ran toward them, stamping the two girls down to the ground. I open my mouth and move it closer to their tiny head. A scream of pain then fellow.

Aina pov:(8 years later)I sat on the couch, my pregnant belly heavy and prominent. The room was filled with an air of tranquility, the soft glow of sunlight filtering through the curtains and casting a warm embrace over everything. It was in this moment of quietude that Bella, my little daughter, came running towards me with an expression of distress on her face."Mummy, Bella took my doll," she exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of frustration and sadness. My heart skipped a beat as I registered her words. Rita's favorite doll, the one she cherished dearly, was missing, taken by her older sister."Bella!" The worry etched on her face mirrored my own as I reached out to hold her close."Why did you take your sister's doll?" I questioned gently, my tone a blend of concern and curiosity" Nobody wanna play with me, they say I am weird ," her tiny

I have been informed of their presence."My brow furrowed slightly, and I probed further, my voice carrying a hint of disappointment. "Then why did you not inform me earlier?
