Chapter 2; The Preparation

It was finally morning Alexa had woken up with swollen eyes caused from crying through out the night.

That morning memories of the previous night of the her failed attempt of escaping flashed through her head, Alexa instantly broke out in tears. She  realized she was back to her father's house. Alexa now viewed her father's mansion know for happiness as her very own Prison.

She had finally gotten up from her bed with her leg still trembling from her attempt of escaping, her feets still very much sored. She was limping a little due to the sores.

The sun seemed to be shinnig  brightly this morning but non of this seemed to matter to Alexa in her eyes everywhere was just dark and scary. Scary was for the fact that she would be getting married tommorow.

Alexa had gotten up to eat since she could not escape the least she could do right now was to stuff her stomach with food trying to fill her empty but wearing heart.(Alexa was a stress eater).

That morning Alexa mother, Margaret had gone to meet her club members. This club only included the most influential ladies, the richest women in the kingdom. Alexa's mother had gone to boast to her club friends and also watch to see the women who would bring gifts so they could be on her good side. While she was there, she talked about the gifts they received from his majesty because of the proposal to her daughter.

They gossipped about what was going on in the kingdom and how a rich spinster ran away with her low class lover. They had gossipped about everything they came in contact with. They talked about how Magaret was very lucky to be the mother of the future queen.

Alexa's father Stephen had gone to the Northumbria palace, to see how the arrangements of the marriage was coming together. And also discuss how the uniting of both families would help their business and how he is going to be the representative of the newly conquered kingdom; Essex. Alexa's family was going to move there how she was going to miss her family.

Alexa had recalled when she had just been chosen to be Prince's bride how every girl of around her age looked at her. How she was also bullied by the older girls mostly from girls from their clan as if it was her fault that she had been chosen. Alexa was a very Pretty girl but not the prettiest in kingdom she wondered and poundered why she was chosen even though it was a already decided by the parents that their children will marry each other.

"But why her?" she thought to herself out of all her sisters why her. Her elder sister had gotten married to the duke of vience. Alexa wished this cup could be taken over by another person. But her father thought the opposite. Although her father is one of the wealthiest in Cleaveland, her father thought that it was an honor to be associated with the royal family through marriage. Stephen was not blessed with a male child he was happy with all 8 girls he had. He was blessed with wealth that was acknowledge in and out of the kingdom and now the joining of his family with the royal family.

The merry mansion seemed to be very busy at moment. Her siblings, her extended family, her maids, her bultler, absolutely everyone was busy, this was another opportunity for her to escape but she had this hint that the person who caught her last time would be keeping an eye on her.

Alexa had a long silky brown hair she was 5 feet 5 inches with about 40c breast size she could be said to be quite busty. Alexa had a nice bright skin.

Alexa's hair was to be braided and used to form a form of tiara, serval pin in form of butterfly would be used to decorate her hair. She was to wear a really tight gildle and an off-shoulder red overflowing gown.

Music and laughter filled the atmosphere of the merry mansion. Alexa had found out that it was one of the palace guard that had caught her last night. She could recalled the chrest on his shoulder. He stood right in front of her room.

Alexa's Parents were Friends and Business partners with the royal family. The family had choose to join both families together but Alexa wondered why her, why not her sisters. This decision was made when Alexa was just 13 so she had been grooming for 7 years. She was groomed on how to speak before his majesty and her husband, Derick. How to bow, how to talk, how to walk. Alexa had just completed 20. Alexa had wished that someone would ask how she was fering if she was willing to get married and forget futhering her education.

Alexa had no idea how the prince looked like except through pictures or paintings she had never met him, talkless of having a conversation with him.

Later that evening. Derick had the feeling of anger and betrayal. He had gone to the court yard carrying a gun to practice his shooting trying to let out the feeling of anger with every single bullet he shot. His cold of eyes focussed on the target and he would touch the trigger with fury. The guard and maids of the palace stood there marvelling at the level of anger displayed by the prince.

The queen had entered the court yard looking at her son astonished at how angry her son was.

"Derick, are you okay?"

The queen walked towards her son trying to look into his eyes

"Does the marriage tomorrow worries you to this extent or are you anxious about meeting your bride tomorrow?"

"Mum, how won't I be worried when you know I am in love with another woman. How won't I be anxious when the woman I love would watch me get wedded to another"

The queen gently touches the arm of her son probably to calm him

"Derick, You would learn to love her as I have learnt to love your father" she paused trying to look into her son's eyes  and said "She would be your queen so treat her right. Okay?"

The prince threw the gun on the ground with anger simply bowed before the queen and left

No one seemed to understand the Prince and his emotions."How would Maria feel?" He thought there was no way he could stop the marriage at this stage.

He had promised himself to make the coming queen so miserable  she would leave on her own accord and then he would marry his love, Maria. He had also through of secretly marrying Maria but she won't hear of it. so

Derick had concluded to frustrated and make Alexa's life unbearable. He would give a bright smile on his wedding day not because he was joyful or happy to receive Alexa as his bride but because that it is the day his plan will finally kick off.
