Chapter 5; His lover

Derick headed to bathroom seeing Alexa still wrapped in her white towel he takes a good look at her from her toes to her head meeting her emerald green eyes 

He lifted her chin up with his cold eyes looking into her eyes as if he wanted to bore a hole through her soul.

"Why are you running, Miss Higgins? " He said with a wicked grin on his face with his eyes now fixed on her lips as he brought her face closer to his. Derick addressing her as miss Higgins is a way  remaining her that she wasn't his wife at least to him.

"Don't worry there was nothing there to see" he whispered to her ears and dashes out of the room.

Derick had headed to Opera to see his love. He planned on given her a surprise visit, he would talk to her after the end of the show. He didn't tell her he was coming because he was sure she would be angry at him and if she had little knowledge he was coming to meet her at the Opera she would not come to the Opera that day. He understood her, If he was in her position he would also do the same thing.

As he headed to the Opera he remembered the first day he actually met Maria she was in a red gown with her black silky hair tied  in form of a ponytail. He had remembered how beautifully she sang, which had made him fall in love with her instantly. Her voice to him can be compared to that of an angle. The Maria he was going to be seeing is not the angelic Maria but angry Maria.

The Opera show had finally come to an end. He had gone to meet her afterwards

"What are you doing here, your majesty?" she said sounding formal as her eyes gathered tears looking  straight into Derick's eyes she had felt betrayed by his majesty, Derick who was supposed to be her lover.

"Maria" he said lifting his hands to touch her face

Maria shifted back "Shouldn't you be with the queen" Maria said with a little bow

"Maria don't be like that you are my only queen, you know"

Maria blushed a little

"You know I love you, Maria" Derick said.

"I know that you do. But will I always be your mistress? Why not your queen to sit right next to you and it is not like I am permitted to love another. can I?"

"No you can't you are mine and mine alone" said Derick with anger in his eyes

"So you would have to do something quickly if you don't want to lose me to another" she said gently stroking his brown hair

"I have a plan already"

"Is that true, your majesty?" she asked with a smile

"Yes"

Maria gave Derick a kiss that wasn't too short neither was it long.

"That is what you get for now" she said in a seductive manner

Which made Derick heart to race.

"You sang beautifully today" he said while gently  holding her hand

"Thanks your majesty" she said blushing a little while swinging their hands

They talked a little bit longer now sitted with her head on his shoulder. 

"It high time I left" he said raising Maria's head off his soulder with one hand while holding her hand with the other.

He gently stood up and dusted his cloth

Maria looked at Derick and smiled she got up and adjusted his cloth a little

"When would I see you again?" he asked 

"Depends on when his majesty request to see me" she simply replied

Derick gave her a smile while cupping her face. He hugged her with his hands on her waist

"Your majesty" she said breaking the hug

"Did you bring anything for me today?"

"Maria"

"My majesty" she said using her bossoms to touch chest

Derick swallowed a little siliva

"I did"

"Goody" she said jumping up like a little child who had just received a present

"But first a kiss"

She simply complied and streched her hands to him. He gave her a bag as she opened it, it was a beautiful necklace

"Derick, is it just this?"

Maria calls Derick by his name when she feels angry or upset especially when it comes to gifts

"Maria" he called out

"I know right now back in the palace Alexa would be wearing something more expensive " she said while sobbing "Don't you love me any more?"

"I love you and you know that, okay I am sorry, okay?" He said while giving her a hug

She just stayed in his arm ignoring his question while crying

"Okay I will send you more through George" okay?

She smiled in his arm he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead

"I am off" he said as he walked out

At the same time back at the place

Alexa had asked her newly appointed personal assistant,Chloe to take her to a tour round the palace.

Alexa had seen many places she didn't know would exist in the palace and she now  seemed to understand the palace a little more. Then she came across this beautiful Garden.

"Wow" 

 

"This is evergreen " 

"It is beautiful. Can we go for a stroll?"

"Yes, Your highness"

As she took a stroll looking at the beautful flower  both the ones she can recognized and couldn't.

"Your highness,your highness his majesty, prince Derick is looking for you , he asked that you see him immediately" A man said barely barely holding on to his breath.
