Frazzled. Panicked. Desperate. Scared. I felt all things at once and couldn’t concentrate. Thank Bastet Mason and Tomis had our warriors under control.

Gillian and Tristan made calls to every kingdom on this continent. MacTire and Riocht were the closest but even they were more than a day out from where we had fought Senko.

‘From the place you severed my son's head’ That was what the old hag had said. I wasn’t trying to piece together the family timeline or how Senko could be Yggdrasil’s son. I didn’t really care.

All I knew was that the dark army was coming for Seneca. They would stop at nothing until they had her and I was her only defense.

Though the dark sorceress could be lying, I wasn’t about to take a chance. “I want half of our army deployed to Lewe, the rest need to guard Cambiador and the royal children!” I bark my orders to Mason, then to Tristan, I ask, “What have the other kingdoms said?”

Who else cheered? I know I did! I hope this chapter kept you on the edge of your seats, there will be no update tomorrow. Oh my god! What a chapter. I had shivers reading it. I almost had tears in my eyes reading the position Tawny was in and how she rallied her troops even though she felt scared and helpless. What an awesome queen she is. So glad to see how Oliver, Petra, Xander, Damian and everyone came to her aide.
