Morgan’s POV

The world didn’t end with the shot.

I remember a tearing heat that ripped through my stomach and spread like poison down my arm, into my blood.

Silver.

My wolf, Ragnar, howled inside me, clawing at the walls of my ribs, but there was nothing he could do except writhe with me.

Voices.

Too many of them. I couldn’t separate one from another.

Orders, panic, boots on the ground.

My name on the lips of that Lycan.

The moment he entered the room, I knew what he was.

He felt familiar and I felt kinship with him.

Immediately, hands groped for me amidst the pain. I had surrendered to the pain, and lost consciousness.

The next time I woke up, there was a voice, a panicked tiny voice that stirred my wolf.

She was calling my name repeatedly in a tearful tone.

I tried to open my eyes but failed.

Even half-conscious, bleeding out, my body knew her. I knew that voice, my heart lurched toward her, her name was on my lips, but my words refused to form, my head refused to cooperate.

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 139: The Luna’s Proof

Alora’s POVThe arena looked more like a sports ground than anything sacred. From the way it looked, one could see that it had seen some good days. There was a wide circle cut into the earth, flat dirt in the middle, ringed with rows of concrete seating that climbed in rough tiers. The steps were cracked in places, patched with cement that didn’t match. Grass pushed through in the corners where nobody bothered to clean.Four steel poles stood at equal points around the ring, each one wired with floodlights. There was a roof that made it look like a mini stadium. It also doubled as the training arena. Some omegas who had been sparring on hearing the commotion left their morning routine and stepped forward to have a glimpse of what was going on. Around the edges, the warriors, who acted as coaches while some doubled as pack security, lined up on the wall. The arena was not a sacred place. It was a place where the pack solved problems, settled challenges, and aired dirty truths in f

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 138: The Alpha’s Claim

Alora’s POVMy grandfather’s eyes turned to the elders, his eyes sweeping across them with anger. “I heard everything that you said about my granddaughter. So this is how you speak of my blood,” he said, each word deliberate, cutting deeper than any shout. “Behind closed doors, questioning her worth as though she hasn’t already proven more loyalty than any of you.”The room was dead still. One of the bolder elders rose, his voice trembling despite his attempt at defiance. “With respect, Your Majesty, this is a matter of our pack. Our prophecy…”“Your prophecy?” The Lycan King’s lips curved into a smile that held no warmth. “You dare invoke shadows to condemn my granddaughter? If this pack does not value her, then she will leave with me. Effective immediately.”The chamber erupted again, protests and gasps filling the air.I felt Morgan’s eyes turn towards me, then he moved close and held my wrist, his grip tightening around my hand, as if he feared I might actually be pulled away. My

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 137: Blood for Blood

Morgan’s POVThe moment the Lycan king had swept into the room, stifling the air and making everyone unable to breathe, I felt it again. The same way I had felt when he had walked in and rescued me from the hands of Xavier. I knew him.I knew this man, but it was hard to figure out where. Something was very familiar about him. I began to wrack my head looking for answers. The Lycan King’s blank, icy gaze swept over the chamber. When his eyes landed on my mate, they softened, if only slightly. I felt my body stiffen. What if he liked her? You cannot say no to a Lycan king. All they do is take take take. But when he turned to the elders, his voice was like a blade, cutting through the tension his presence had brought. Then a carbon copy of me emerged from his back. She was a spitting image of me, and I felt a connection to her so strong I instinctively stood up and walked over, unable to take my eyes off her. My heart thudded in my chest and a thought occurred to me, but I waved

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 136: Reality Check

Alora’s POVI was asleep, but I could feel someone knocking on the door somewhere, but I couldn’t lift my head. The knock came again, but this time it didn’t just stop there, there was a door opening swiftly and closing. I blinked, half caught in sleep, and felt Morgan stiffen beneath me. He had felt it too. That was when I realized I was sprawled on top of him, my cheek resting on his chest, his arm still wrapped lazily around my waist. Someone had just barged in on us wrapped around each other. “Alpha!” Harry’s voice came out rushed, filled with urgency. His eyes widened the moment he took in the sight of me tangled with Morgan on the bed.Morgan growled and flared at him. “Harry, don’t you know how to knock? He asked, glaring at him and adjusting the duvet so it covered me to the neck. Harry swallowed, color rising on his face. “I did knock…” He glanced at me quickly, then back to Morgan. “I forgot Luna was… here. I wouldn’t have…”“Wouldn’t have barged in on my mate?” Morgan

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 135: Velvet Heat

Alora’s POVI felt a fierce protectiveness as I reached out and touched his arms. He flinched before leaning into my touch. He buried his head in the valley of my breast and breathed me in.“Your scent is driving me insane baby…you smell so f*cking good” he whispered in the darkness that engulfed us as he burrowed his face farther into my chest while tiny shock waves coursed through me.It was at that moment I realized I was fiercely in love with this man, and I'd do anything for him, go to war for him, and fight demons on his behalf.“Do I?” I responded while tracing lines all over his broad shoulders.“Yes, you make me feel things, feelings that I had buried years ago” he whispered again while his knuckles brushed with feather-like softness over my nipples until they stood erect. He eased my night gown off my shoulders as it pooled on my waist.

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 134: Grief & Desire

Alora’s POVThere was a strangling sound coming from beside me.I bolted upright in bed, my chest heaving. For one heartbeat, I didn’t know where I was until my eyes adjusted to the room. I turned to where the strangling sound was coming from and Morgan laid on his back, thrashing beside me, his claws extended, tearing the bedsheets and mattress to pieces. His fangs were out, biting down on his lips.“Morgan!” I cried, clasping his shoulder and shaking him, trying to jolt him awake, but he didn’t hear me, so I shook him harder. “It’s not real! You’re here, with me. You’re safe.” I repeated the words like a mantra, but he didn’t hear me. He was trapped in whatever nightmare had him by the throat.I did the only thing I knew. I climbed over him, straddling his waist, forcing my weight down to hold him. My hands pressed his wrists into the bed even as he bucked and thrashed beneath me, strong enough to throw me off if he wasn’t half-lost inside his head.“Morgan, listen to me!” My voi
