LILY

I sat there in the cold, low lit room. Balled up in the corner, I couldn't hold back the pain my heart was feeling. How did it ever get this far? Do I seriously need to be locked down here for my 'protection'? Timothy's actions used to be silly, explainable and practically nothing. I never formed another thought towards how much this could easily get out of hand.

It all started when I turned 9. I had a crush on a little boy from our pack and wanted nothing more than to play with him. Long story short; Timothy told me boys have cooties and to stay away from them. Who knew that cooties could turn into imprisonment? What happened to my brother? We used to be so close, playing video games, pulling pranks, laughing. I can't remember the last time we've laughed with each other just for the heck of it. Everything's so serious and fake. He became my parent; he became the leader. Maybe because this is his training. At a young age he needs to handle the whole pack.
