The man was taking predatory steps towards me.

Greed, ambition, ruthlessness and the reflection of undefining preponderancy.

“Alpha Giovanni, not another step towards my mate. It is between you and me. Do not provoke a war. It isn’t good for any of us.” Adonis, who now had shifted in his human form, warned him.

But Giovanni didn’t pay any attention to him.

“I am keeping it between us, Alpha Adonis. Your regina isn’t different from you.” He said in his thick English accent.

I gulped in fear. I saw a strange lunacy in his eyes. They didn’t falter even for once.

I wasn’t getting a good vibe about it. In fact, the feeling was sickening.

“My mate has nothing to do with your act of declaring an invasion on north packs, Orsini. We’re not your slaves and we won’t ever accept your subjection.” Adonis said in a firm tone.

Giovanni started laughing. It was humourless and more terrifying than his coldness.
