The alpha managed to enter the apartment thanks to Vivien, however, Castellana opted to lock herself inside her bedroom. She refused to speak with him as if the mere sight of him was repulsive.

“Tia Carlston and Bianca came to see me today, asking if you can work with them. I brought their proposals so come out of there and let’s talk about this matter,” Alaric said, standing in front of her bedroom door with the hope that it would be enough to make the half-vampire come out from hiding.

He waited, but received no response. He cursed under his breath before walking back to the living room. His schedule that day was already cleared so there was no problem if he was going to wait. Not to mention, he wasn’t in a hurry to get home since he can spend the night at that place anyway.

“Did you two go somewhere else after leaving the airport?” the alpha asked Vivien.
