Chapter 81

Elena:

I frowned when I opened my eyes to find myself lying on a rocky floor.

Lia was a few meters away from me and the smell of blood made me frown before I rushed to her side, wanting to check on her.

Her eyes were closed and I shook my head as I tried lifting her, wanting to check where the blood source was from. It was from her shoulder.

“You are hurting me, Elena.” She said as she opened her eyes. I let out a breath that I didn’t realize that I was holding before letting her sit up to look at me. “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine, are you?” I asked and she nodded as the two of us looked around what seemed like some dungeon.

Footsteps could be heard from a distance and I couldn’t help but frown as I took in one of the creatures who stood by the door, looking at us. He had three eyes, his tongue moved toward us as he hissed, his back arched, and his teeth bare. His tail moved left to right, and I couldn’t help but frown at the sight of his eyes moving the way that they did.
